Marcia Petcher is the Director of the Probate Team at Smalleys and she has been amazing since June 2021 when Mum passed until the present day to confirm the final payment of the residuary estate. My Wife & I wanted to make wills which would cover all future eventuallities (to avoid having to rewrite if circumstances changed). We contacted Smalleys and received a very rapid response with an information pack which explained every part of the process . I next sent a list of our requirements, and again received a prompt response from Deanne which showed she had understood exactly what we wanted, and also made suggestions to cover things we had not thought of, but which we realised we needed. Having agreed to go ahead with the wills, we received Draft Wills and an Invoice, and were pleasantly surprised to find that the "extras" we had added were all included in the basic will price, including the provision of witnesses, copies of the wills, and the wills being held by Smalleys, Throughout the entire process the people we dealt with were professional, efficient and friendly, and this included the actual signing. The charges were very competitive, and I have no hesitation in highly recommending this firm for any legal services (and will use them again should the need arise)

I used Smalleys as my Conveyancer five years ago for my house sale and purchase and as I had a great experience with Smalleys, I used them again when I needed to have my husband and my Will reviewed (especially with what’s happening in the world right now). We had previously taken out a will with a company who are no longer practising and due to circumstances needed to review our Will again. I didn’t compare prices but for what I paid it was value for money when you take into perspective the comfort it will offer you in that your wishes are laid out in black and white. Smalleys being a legal practise gives me the reassurance that our Wills are written in way that is legally binding whereas the previous company I used were just Will writers and I was shocked to find out that Will writing companies aren’t regulated so using Smalleys gives me that comfort that I have taken the right measures to protect my family. Deanne, the Managing Director handled our Will and she was incredibly responsive to any questions I raised and personable which is incredibly important when trying to explain legal jargon that can often be lost in translation! We had a call set up where Deanne explained the process very simply and asked questions and it wasn’t long after where we received our draft wills to be followed up by an appointment to sign the documents. The service was efficient, value for money and I have no doubt I will be using Smalleys again when we decide to set up a POA! Thank you to Deanne and the team.

I can't recommend Tracey Gretton and her team in Conveyancing enough! Always helpful and we've used Smalleys for purchasing the majority of our 25 properties.I don't understand some of the negative reviews on here but I guess some people expect too much. Smalleys are very competitive on price but that doesn't mean you get poor service. We've been forced to use other solicitors in the past (by lenders) and had horrendous service at more than double the cost of Smalleys so work that out.
