Fantastic service from phone call to job completion! Needed a new battery ASAP and after easy phone booking was booked to go straight for new battery! Friendly service upon arrival and asked for them to check bulbs and they fitted one of them too! No waiting around on arrival despite being busy! Extremely good price! Perfect all around! Bought my first e-bike. Unsure about e-bikes initially but Kane took time to explain how they worked, discussed the benefits and even though he was busy allowed me the time to try a couple of bikes and ask loads of questions. 3 days later my bike was delivered and built by Stephen who handed it over to me. He spent ages setting it up, checking things over and helped get it into the car. Service is really good and I’m absolutely delighted with my lovely bike

Got a reverse camera and head unit fitted to my van. Everything went smoothly although there was a bit of a wait between placing my order and getting it done but that's because it was a longer job and needed to fit it in the diary. Broke a windscreen wiper removing my car cover first thing in the morning (not the best start to the day). Fortunately I was able to order a replacement, pay for it and organise it to be fitted all from my phone and got it done after work, which was a relief as it was a Friday evening, and I wasn't sure where would be open and have the relevant stock. Simply Amazing service!!! The gentleman on the till (I didn’t take a name sadly) went above and beyond. If it helps he was on the till closest to the doors on 3rd Jan around 1:30. I came in for number plates and had mentioned my car central locking not working. The gentleman at the till not only sorted my number plates out, but also personally looked at my central locking whilst there were no customers at the till. He was so knowledgable, approachable, friendly and helpful. Fantastic customer service and great to see your staff are good at multitasking (these days this is so rare). Well I learnt a lot about Bikes, saddles, grips. Just went in to change my bike collection date and to ask about a comfortable saddle. Was given a website address to get the bone width, then shown saddles and grips. Was told that my bike will be set up for me when I collect, brake angles, saddle, grips etc... really impressed.

Excellent service at Derby Wyvern yesterday. After struggling to place my order online earlier in the week (Halfords.com not accepting my order). I finally placed the order expecting to collect the bike after Christmas. However, the store called me half an hour after placing the order saying I could collect after 1200 on Christmas Eve. I had a problem with a brake light on my car so the first place I thought of was Halfords ,because I’ve always dealt with them at the kingsway derby and they where always very helpful and friendly , but I was disappointed when they moved thinking I might not get the same friendly service, but I need not have worried , I went to other branch at Pride Park and all thought there was a few problems fitting the right brake light bulbs it was still the friendly helpful staff as always .and I would like to thank Duran for sticking with the problem as he’s only been with the company for a month

One desk open to deal with queries, online collections, and purchases. Three members of staff dealing with an ever growing queue, but under stress, because they couldn't give the service to customers they were capable of. Felt sorry for them. Taught me to try and avoid Saturdays, but not everyone has that option. Also wished there were separate desks dedicated to collections, queries, and purchases.

What a pity I had to drive all the way from Ashbourne, where the technician said he could not do the job because his hand was too big, and where he apparently did not have access to a tool kit (or perhaps couldn’t be bothered to fetch one).

I visited Halfords today for a bulb change. The service provided by the friendly team was amazing. The first man wasn't sure if he would be able to get the fitting out to replace the bulb, so he got another man. The 2nd man again thought the bumper had to be dropped to get the fitting out so it wasn't looking good. But they didn't stop there they asked a 3rd man called Carl and he sorted it out no problem. It was a tough one by the look of it but he didn't give up. Thanks again to Carl and the rest of the team who helped me. Great service and service with a smile. I Attended Halfords at Wyvern Way, as a rock had hit my windscreen, damaging it. The damage was deeper and more splintered than the usual little chips you can get when stones fly into the windscreen. I spoke to PAT at Halfords explaining what had occurred. He came out to the car, looked at it, explaining that the damage was repairable. He explained the repair process and an appointment was made for the next day. Pat was professional, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. On returning the next day at the pre booked time, PAT advised approximately how long the repair would take. I returned to find that PAT had performed an excellent repair to my windscreen. I was amazed at the result. So said, so done. No problems.Truthful appraisal of the damage. Standard of workmanship excellent. Honest staff member with integrity - PAT. I shall return to this branch. I came for help with a. Replacement indicator bulb on a seat Leon 2014. I was met by Craig whom May I mentions had great customer service skills. I was immediately made to feel very welcome and he went above and beyond!! Even showed me how to take out my taillight if I had to replace in future. Great customer service. There have been times due to my age and other reasons which are hard to express, where I feel I am treated differently in all walks of life. However Craig made me feel more than comfortable and don’t not judge in any way which I am really grateful for. Great guy, amazing customer skills. He should be promoted as the rest look miserable. Great guy and even talked to me whilst doing the job and we had a nice chat about cars. Great guy. Great customer service!!! You need more like him. Dissapointed that they closed the one in Kingsway Retail Park Derby. Visited here to find it's a smaller outlet with less product on offer. Otherwise, good.

The shop not the auto center. Generally pretty good for car parts and consumables e.g. oil, fuel additives, screen wash etc; however, somewhere like Euro car parts is probably cheaper. Decent budget to mid range car cleaning products alongside a limited selection of high end/professional detailing products; although once again specialist detailing shops will have a better range. Decent bike selection that caters for 'regular' people wanting a decent all round mountain/hybrid or road bike, once again if you're after something specialist then a dedicated bike shop would be a better choice. It's important to realise that Halfords caters for the majority, not the few who need specialist or exceptionally high performance products. Also be aware that you may pay slightly more than a 'trade' type shop.

Ordered a cycle helmet to pick up from store. The helmet was not in the locker for "pick up" so the assistant went to the in-store display, picked a helmet and brought it over. I asked where the box was for it but he said there was not one. The helmet had a fault in the plastic surface which was clearly visible (bubbling) If I had the receipt with me I would have returned it straight away. As it was I had to make another journey to return it. Poor service.

I have been purchasing part's from this Halford's for a while now, every time they have been very friendly and helpful with most part's being good quality at good prices. Once i enquired how i would stop the grinding noise you can get from rim brake bikes, they gave me some suggestions which i left. I then found that i got a flat tyre, when i mentioned the flat to the person who was working on the bikes that day, they replaced the inner tube so i was able to get home with no charge. I would recommend to purchase from this store. They have always given me helpful maintenance tips and offering the best way's i can keep my bike in top form.

Note: this review is for the shop, not the Autocentre. I needed a roof box and bars fitting at very short notice, and my closest Halfords store weren't able to help within the time frame. From the moment I got in touch with the Wyvern branch the staff were very helpful in ensuring they could find a convenient time slot. As the specific model of my car did not match the DVLA database, the parts needed to fit the roof bars were not as expected. The team quickly resolved this, and ensured that the fitting was done safely and securely. All in all very good customer service, which is often not found at large retailers.

Answered any questions, showed me how to do things (several times) and generally faciltated my rediscovery of cycling after a 40 year absence.
