What's cool about the spot - Firstly it's a huge space with a dedicated floor for bikes and bike accessories - lovely just to be there for any bike lover. Your bike can be freely built and delivered to you depending on the bike you choose. With a variety of accessories to choose from, buying a helmet and lights was really easy at the store. Tip : Arriving at the right helmet size is easier at the store. Don't buy online unless you are too sure. The staff were very friendly and Inthu was very kind to give me some tips. Halfords is a place to go for bikes and this Charlton spot is awesome. Improvement suggestion to owners - You could mark a cycling track for trials on the first floor. It's not a must, but could give the floor an uplift - Have seen it in a few bike stores. Located within the 'Stone Lake Retail Park', we've been here a handful of time and it has more than enough on offer to cater to most things needed for your vehicle, bike, camping and more. If this isn't the case, you could always order online and pickup in-store. Staff were helpful when we asked, so noting bad to state. Good experiences so far.

I buy a lot of my bike parts at Halfords as they are good brands and good value if ordered online. Collections are usually fast but the bike area has been as cold as a morgue of late. Staff lack enthusiasm is lacking to the extent that l choose to take my bike to another local chain for a few jobs l couldn’t do myself. There they were happy to locate a service slot for me, even though l had to book it myself online and happily talked me through the job when l arrived with my bike.

I visited this store on Wednesday, the team there are great and Very helpful!!!! Levi fixed an electric scooter I brought in, he also managed to fit it in on repairs for the same day and I was very very greatful for this 🙏a really polite man. Charlie who also works there was really sweet and helpful! I not long had a baby and wasn't keen on the lifts there, (bit scary) he offered to help with my pushchair down the stairs. Which was sweet, he was just really kind. My experience was great there and I would definitely recommend this store👌the Staff their are all friendly. Good Halfords store. Never had a bad experience. Has a wide range of the cycling products I usually go in for. Friendly staff and depending on the time of day, fast service. Waiting times for maintenance services (cycles) are very long at the moment due to Covid catchup, but this is understandable. I recently went in to get a bike check done, only to be told the wait for a fix was almost 3 months. I would have appreciated knowing this in advance of making the trip over to Charlton with my bike as I could have made alternative arrangements. Aside from that, happy with the service.

Genuinely hard working team this weekend (Saturday). All the young men working upstairs in the bikes/scooter department were flat out when I got in there and were working very hard to go above and beyond for their customers. Needed to replace windshield wipers on my car. Called into the store on Monday, greeted by a man on the till. After explaining what I needed he took the vehicle registration and informed me there were 2 types of wipers in stock. He was very friendly and polite. I asked about having them fitted and he explained it would incur a 5pound charge which I was fine with. I paid and he arranged for a colleague to fit the blades. The gentleman that fitted the blades was also very polite, following covid precautions and friendly. Overall a great experience would definitely recommend.

It's the only Halford store near to my home. The store is great I usually go there once in 2 month to get my bike accessories. At the time of purchase, on December 23, the sales adviser could not inform us of the total cost. Once we had made the purchase we were given two receipts which we totalled up to find the total cost of the purchase. We were told that one or two items had to be ordered but would be here for fitting by 05/01/2021. We finally got a call to say that the parts were here and could be fitted on 28/02/2021. The fitting went well however, minor damage was caused to the dashboard, and we had to pay a £55 fitting fee which was not included in the original purchase.

Went to Halfords Charlton to get a brake light bulb. Was thinking would have to find someone to fit it for me and then saw notice saying bulbs fitted! Great customer service in my own experience, obviously. Prices are alright. The thing you need to make sure is to check your bike in my case properly even after the "12 point check thingy". I ended buying a lot of tools to fix the disk brake as it wasn't straight and was making noises, the rear bike axle was wobbly, the tyre were pumped half only and not to the recommendations although i think this was the procedure. But, i would still recommend the place for the friendly and helpful staffs none the less as i have been there asking loads of questions on random stuffs and they were happy to help. Just my opinion and i hope that helps.

The team are mostly friendly and seem knowledgeable. The store stocks a wide range of bikes, although the selection at any given price point is rather modest so you may find having to order the correct frame size etc. The store itself has a dedicated cycle area, with room to test ride the bikes. WATCH OUT if you intend to participate in the 'cycle to work' scheme, as I was advised to, by the store. There are several of these companies online, and when I arrived with my voucher a few weeks after selecting my bike, I was informed it was the wrong type, and non-redeemable there! I had to go elsewhere, and they missed a sale.

After getting a puncture on my bike on Sunday I googled the closest Halfords and Charlton popped up. I was going to be late for a course so I was starting to panic! I got the train to Charlton and shlepped across the road to Halfords. I was there at 9.35, 25 minutes before opening. As I started to wait outside a guy from the shop came out to speak to me (really sorry I didnt catch his name). There was an electrical fault at the store, all systems down and it could take up to four hours until an electrician arrives and remedies. I was mortified. I would have to find another shop and at this rate I would miss half my course for the day and jeopardise getting my qualification. The Halfords guy saw the worry in my face and asked what I needed. He then proceeded to fetch an inner tube, change it for me and pump it up in a matter of minutes. It was all sorted even before the official opening time and he only charged me the three quid cash for the tube. I arrived at my course only 1 hour late and all was good. So grateful for the help. It was the best customer service and the chap that helped me is a top bloke. Thanks!

Today I went back to the store to get my lighter fitted (which I had bought from there but Quick Fit could not fit!) I was welcomed by the young man who originally served me and he quickly got Winston to help. Winson spent a long time fitting the lighter which I was so sure would not be possible. Winston was amazing and never gave up he obvioulsy knew what he was doing and completed the job to an excellent standard. I was very, very impressed and could not thank him enough. I desperately needed this to work so I could use a Sat Nav to go away on a long journey. Also may I say that I will be going back to buy the Sat Nav from them as they knew what they were talking about unlike another store not that far away whos name reminds me of my favourite dinner! They just want to fob me off with the wrong information on the products. Halfords assistants told me the truth something I really appreciated.
