A. P.I took my daughter’s car for the free Halfords Winter Safety Check today at the Halfords Riverside Store in Northampton, it was performed by Sam and he delivered a thorough and informative check that I think is a very worthwhile service offered by Halfords.
I had a couple of advisories which have now been sorted and I was really impressed by Sam, who was very knowledgeable, personable and helpful and who went above and beyond with the advice he gave.
Thank you Sam and thank you Halfords for now giving me peace of mind on the well-being of my daughter’s car.

Chris is an exceptionally person. He first carried out a five point check. Patiently answering any and all questions I had. He gave me all my options and helped me understand what was happening with the battery and mostly likely why. He took the time to make sure I was comfortable with replacing it. When replacing the battery this was quick and came with reassurance that calmed my worries. His friendly manner and confidence changed what was a troublesome situation into a pleasant one.

A. Q.i went to have my wife's bikes brakes fixed. its not one sold by halfords,quite specialised.The engineer not only fixed the brakes but wiring lights,tisying of wires/pumping air/checking gears/tightening nuts.

S. H.Parking was a bit of a pain however, when entering the store it was quiet, tidy , well manned and easy to navigate around. As I was looking for oil for my car ,it was a bit frustrating that the tablet where you can enter your car details to find the correct oil, 1 of 2 of them was not working so there was a wait whilst other customers used the only one available. In other stores there is a manual flip card available to find the same, I couldn.t find one in this store. Checkout was quick and friendly staff, I used an AA discount card which was effortlessly accepted.
C.Went to investigate car dash cam ,very helpful guy took us through the product's, very knowledgeable, explained in detail pros and cons of each,settled on one,going back in a few days for it to be fitted and set up on phone......watch this space.......
D. W.So this is a tale of two halves. I tried to find a bike for my son for Christmas and called the call centre. I spoke with 4 different agents, none of which seemed to know anything about how Halfords work, what stock they have or what the processes are. Not sure where the call centre is but it seemed like it needs moving....So for call centre experience they get 0 stars. However went into the Riverside branch and spoke with Jordan who was great. They were obviously very busy, but he still had time to show me and son a load of bikes and even rang back with availability of some bikes after hours. Great job. Going that extra mile makes all the difference. Well done Jordan, well recovered halfords. Bike ordered online. Please look at your call centre arrangements, it's far from fit for purpose and is letting you down, losing you customers.

I went back and the manager straight away came out and sorted it. Absolute top man good manager. Just check people that the light is on properly before leaving.

After returning to Halfords Riverside after I said I wouldn’t in my previous post I was pleasantly surprised by the customer services I received from Andrew 0 and store manager Laura, this couldn’t have been different customer services from what I experienced last time.
Andrew O even stayed after his shift ended to complete the sale.
after spending nearly £1500 on bikes from Halfords in the past year alone I will certainly return once my five children grow out of the current bikes.

D. S.Mercedes wanted over £300 to change my car battery, Halford fitted it and then reprogrammed the car for only £160. Good news is my auto start stop started to work alright away and I now have the confidence of a 5 year warranty.

d.One of my favorite shops. But due to my car going to nissan and sitting in there for 2 hrs i went to this shop and put my wrong pin number on the card machine wrong 4 times. The girl who was serving me put them of the side so i could go to the bank and come back to buy them which was good service. But after i came bk she got them out and i paid like i said i was going to do but after she just walked off without even bothering to give me receipt by quickly putting it under the handle of my item i bought and just walking off. A bit rude by her standards of customer service. But i will always come bk
p. s.we visited Riverside Halfords today, we were greeted by Robb who was very pleasant, informative and helpful. Not only did he and his colleague Matthew fit the headlamp bulb for us but I feel they went above and beyond with fixing our car, checking oil, coolant etc. There was a problem with the connector when putting the bulb in but Robb persevered and fixed it. It was a pleasure to visit this store and I will certainly go there again 5 star service

G. M.As with most places it's not much fun visiting. Obviously had to kew to get in and then had to ask for what I wanted at the cash desk. Half my order was wrong and wouldn't fit. This led to a return visit another kew and a wait while my order was corrected. Although I understand the situation, I wont be returning or ordering from them unless it's a last resort.
