First used the car spares side almost 30 years ago, always helpful and good prices. Been using the electrical side regularly for the last five years, these guys know their stuff, where else can you get a key cut for a pound? My only concern is how the floor takes the weight, the place is jam packed lol

Many thanks to organise my clutch cylinder yesterday that fast and also in such a good price. Well recomended shop if you do not mind wait that extra 5 min to organise everything. Also the owner is such a pleasant and gentlemen, always treated me nice when i visited the store. Well done guys you've saved my journey.

The valve shop is part of 'Nottingham folklore'. I have been coming here over 40 years. I have never been disappointed. If on the rare occasion they don't sell what you are after, they'll probably be able to tell you who does. Seriously cheap prices and amazingly knowledgeable staff. Usually people in the shop though so best to go off peak times, though I've never been waiting long and they are always aware that your there so they don't mess about... p.s I had to laugh at a couple of negative reviews 😀. They all seemed to be very similar! hmmm I don't suppose its anything to do with the copycat shop a few doors up which sells a tiny range of very inferior items. I went in there once hen VS was shut! Lets just say I was VERY disappointed!!

It's a little aladins cave, everything is piled floor to ceiling in this tiny shop. Staff helpful, stocks most things for cars and general supplies for plumbing and electrical spares as well as general hardware and it's cheap, give it a try

I've been coming here for years. Best place in Nottingham for car spares. Cheapest bar none. If they don't have it, they can get it, and usually next (working) day. Don't pay over the odds for motor oil and filters etc, come here and save a fortune. If you need anything for the household - bulbs(any type/fitting), sockets, switches, wiring DIY etc. pop next door to the other side and save a fortune there too. What these guys don't know is probably not worth knowing ! People in the know, they go to the valve shop. Cheers guys

Great place for all your electrical bits at a brill price

I love this place because they sell virtually everything to do with electrics. I went there today for a downlight lamp holder when one of mine had a loose wire. I took the part in with me, showed it to the guy behind the counter and within five seconds he placed a new one on the counter and said "That will be one pound please". They are so friendly and helpful and the prices can't be beaten. That's probably why there's always folk in there. There is some parking outside on Radford Road in a couple of lay byes but you have to be lucky. Failing that, there's a massive Park and Ride over the road off Wilkinson Street where the tram stops, so there's another way of getting there. They do lots of motoring products as well, more than sufficient to equip the amateur mechanics among us. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

I have happily used The Valve shop for many years for both business and home requirements. Always excellent service & value for money with genuine advice when needed. I'd much rather spend my money in a local independent business like this than the multi-store profiteers.

SUPERB value for money for all your car parts… HOWEVER… you will find yourself on the phone to John A LOT. He is very guilty of ordering the wrong part or telling you a part will arrive by a certain time and it not showing up. Given his very cheap prices, you will find yourself excusing him!
