A nice place to have a number of stuffs related to cars, motorbikes and bicycles. The bike section is on the first floor and with no working lifts, it's a pain to carry bikes. The items are decently priced but I found a few items to be more expensive compared to Decathlon as far as bikes/bike parts/accessories is concerned.

Went in to get some bike brake pads as I thought mine were wearing out. Bailey was on the bike counter and he had a quick look over my bike to advise what I would require. He identified that while the brakes required bleeding, he could make a quick adjustment to the brake handle to help in the meantime. This sorted my issue and I appreciated his honesty. Thank you!

I took my little boy’s bike in for an assessment as the brakes were not working properly. The assistant was able to sort the problem by replacing the brake item. I just paid for the part and he fitted it for free, fixing the back brake cable and pumping the tyres, for no extra cost. He was extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you

I was very pleased with the service I received in store when I went to pick up my online order. Unfortunately, Halfords online thought the product was available in store but it wasn't. Store contacted me to tell me it wasn't there and when it would be in and again when it had arrived in store. So five stars for the store but not for Halfords systems.

Car battery appeared to be dying so popped into Halfords where they did a free battery test. My suspicions were confirmed, so the helpful gentleman fitted a new one there and then. The only drawback was that the Stop/start mechanism then started working, which it didn't before, now I have to remember to turn it off every time I start the car as I find it annoying. SHAUN at the Botley location was simply brilliant. He changed the front driver side handling on my S350 Mercedes very swiftly. I then drove back to Bicester and then returned in my wife's C180 Merc to replace the back lights that was done also swiftly in less than 5 mins. Very nice and professional chap, to say the least. Def will not be going anywhere else. Have been visiting this branch in Botley for 5 years and extremely satisfied. Cheers!

Visited the store on Xmas eve after deciding a physical gift card would be better than an evoucher. Store was busy, I was met by a member of staff who showed me where the gift cards were then also help me with another purchase. 10/10 for Customer Service (Great Team) I went to visit this Halfords Store on Saturday 18th December as my car headlight went out as I was driving. It was all a little last minute and I was due a long drive to London, the store was almost closing but I couldn't have asked for more accomodating staff. I appreciated everyone probabaly wanted to go home but they went out of their way to get my light fixed, in a timely and efficient manner. I cannot thanks these guys enough, sadly I did not get there names but forever grateful! Would highly recommend this store - great staff!

Went to Halfords at Botley to buy a new audio system for my motorhome. I had seen a Sony system on their website but couldn’t see it in store. A member of the staff came over and asked if they could help. He checked stock on their computer and discovered they did have one just not on display. He went and got it for me, gave very good advice on fitting and also recommended some other items I was interested in. Really nice, friendly and knowledgeable - and willing to go the extra. I went in to get headlamps replaced as one bulb had gone out. Service was friendly and fairly efficient, and they also offered a free winter check (screenwash, oil, tyre depth and pressure) which I thought would just be a nice addition but it turned out my tyre pressures were lopsided and they fixed it so I'm very thankful for this service! Also helped out with another minor issue for no extra charge, so really happy and grateful to the halfords staff here. They are knowledgeable, friendly, and it's good value! Got a roof rack fitted for the first time at halford. All the staff were really friendly n helpful. The original order didn’t fit the car so they helped me find the necessary parts online n rebooked the appointment to have the fitting. The fitting did take over an hour but apparently it was complicated as my car didn’t have a roof bar. All staff were great though and helpful.

I went to Halfords to get some sort of rack to carry our two bikes on holiday. The choice was between on the roof or hung on the back. Tom was extremely helpful, I decided to go for the "rear mounted" even though that means I'll need to get a lighting board and have the wiring done on the car. Thanks again Tom.

Brought my lad a mountain blke and he got to try a show bike for size, and told by Holly that will be the size he needs because both feet touched the floor and the post can grow with him knowing that the post was at is lowest, and he checked that there was a bike available out the back so we was happy and went ahead. I just came out of hospital so my brother collected the bike from the shop after it was built by the team, then to only find the bike was to big and the post had to be cut 3inc approx because my lads feet would not touch the ground both sides. Lucky I got a cutter to cut it clean and not cause any damage or weakness to the post. Otherwise nice bike for the price.

Best place to go for advice/fitting of child seats. Knowledgeable staff (esp. Matt G) who know all the tips & tricks with child seats (like ISOFix or not and shoulder strap tensioning). Good range of seats at varying prices. Can't fit seats during COVID but willing to take time to explain detailed installation.

Had a really bad day, had a roof box on the roof and went under height restriction, totalled it, as we tried to get it off I drove over my wife’s foot. Realised we had to wait for two to three hours for feedback on it and only my wife could go in, the rest of us went to the closest halfords to get a new one. They had every reason to just say they can’t dispose or help us for the rack but were helpful to us at a time when we really needed it, up and resolved in less than 20 minutes Give Matt and co a pay rise!!

The Halfords ordering system is clearly a massive pain in the arse for them though, it's always slow and causes a great deal of frustration. And no doubt cost to halfords.

Only popped in for a couple of things and was expecting queues and a far from enjoyable experience but got nothing of the sort, the staff member at the door asked what I was looking for while staying a safe distance, he was polite and friendly, he pointed out where what I wanted was and also asked me not to pick items up unless buying which is acceptable in light of the COVID19 situation.
