It was lovely to have some old-time banter with my most helpful and friendly assistant, Gina, or Georgina her full name. Quite by chance we discovered that she had been brought up in the same place as my father and his parents before him! It beats an anonymous online transaction any day!"

Went there on this occasion to buy a bike on the cycle to work scheme. The lady who served me was very helpful. Ahe explained exactly how it worked and what I could pick from around the store. There was a bike which was ready to ride out that day, so after trying it on for size I then picked out some lights, helmet etc. Would definitely recommend the scheme due to the fuel situation, plus things like the brakes and gears can be serviced for a year free of charge while they 'bed-in'.

I usually come here to get my bike fixed when needed. The staff are nice and quite helpful. If you need tips to change it yourself, they can help you with that, otherwise they'll do it for you. One of the staff was nice enough to get my brakes changed on the day as they usually don't do this. Thanks!! Other than that, there's enough important stuff for your car, bikes, and motobike needs.

Fantastic. Went in for a new registration plate and the girl that did the plate, sai I could get £5 off by signing up to a membership which meant I got it fired for free. Jihad fitted my reg plate and took a real pride in his work. Both a credit to the store and I’ll definitely be returning.

Amelia was fantastic with my ten point check. There are only two things I would pick up on. She didnt use a funnel and the wind nearly blue the screen wash on my coat. She said "it would not make a difference" Also she didnt use the matt for my wipers, saying it was "only needed when the wipers are vertical" Otherwise totally proffessional and Queen Catherine at the till, is still supreme. Halfords is okay, always has a good range of stuff and the quality is fair, but it's so expensive. It's kind of become a 'one stop shop' for motorists, a place of convenience, but you can save yourself SO much money going elsewhere!

Had a radio/speaker review as radio output very poor in our motorhome. Wing Kit was fantastic, immediately resolving our problem and providing us with information on our radio and speakers. Wing Kit is amazing with his knowledge on speakers and is the man to 'go to' if you are having any sound issues with your radio speakers. Lovely to have someone so helpful and friendly.

Above and beyond professional service. Visited this store with a ‘can you help me’ desperation. Nicola listened, questioned and then said “I can’t help you! But I know someone who can!” She went and spoke to the repair bike mechanic who came out to see me with Nicola and went through how I could make the repair to my electric bike in terms that I completely understood (which I and my wife purchased from Halfords. Two bikes which have brought back the joy of biking to us). He showed Nicola the tool that I needed which I purchased. Okay...Window type shopping, I went to Curry's first was greeted at door (fair enough) but then whilst browsing got tracked by one guy asking if I wanted help then a second guy started tracking me so I checked back, avoided him and left store ! Bought driver and passenger side wipers. Found when we fitted that the driver side was incorrect housing, either halfords website was wrong or the manufacturer put wrong clip in. Today took it back, Halfords employee called Sadi was very helpful and sorted out a refund and checked the alternative (unfortunately more expensive) Bosh own part was correct before we purchased. Hopefully Halfords will look at why the W07 wiper as called for on their website check for a Renault traffic was no good.

CAVEAT EMTOR INDEED. Picked up an order I made online for 3 x Autoglyme products. Left them in the car overnight so didn't realise till the next day that, while 2 of them were sealed intact, one had the seal broken and staining around the cap. So what was I going to do then - take them back to the store and say look this has been used? NOT HAPPY

A very pleasant young man then came out to the car and fitted said blade - a quick clip off the old one and clip on the new one, about 30 seconds - for which I was charged £4. ! £480 per hour - really??!!

Purchased a Carrera Vengeance mountain bike which was assembled for me. Upon collection the staff were very helpful, adjusting the bike to my size etc. on my 3rd ride there was a problem with the rear disk brakes. I booked in a repair for 3 days time at 3:30pm, I would be busy then so dropped it off 8:30 am, the technician fixed my bike while I waited. Great staff, customer service and easy website when initially ordering my bike.

Brian and Lee did a great job of rehanging my rear registration plate where it had been taped on before and was not secure. They skilfully drilled out part of a screw in the receiving bit on my vehicle, then lined up and drilled a new hole in the plate. They were efficient inventive and did a good secure job plus were pleasant lads, very good service from Brian and Lee highly recommended for fitting jobs

There's a Costa nearby so waiting for work do be done is hardly a chore. Felt like an old-school bike shop. I'll be going back for repairs/upgrades again. A good store, with friendly staff in the bikes section. I understand covid restrictions, however not allowing a child to try on a bike helmet seems a bit mad (gov restrictions now eased). Bought the Boardman cycling jacket, very reflective and good fit for me. The fact it has a hood that can be hidden in the collar when not needed is ideal as coat can be used both on and off bike as the blue colour is not so in your face as a traditional high viz jacket. Would highly recommend

The staff at this store went well beyond what was expected. My own incompetence meant that I had forgotten to click the build a bike service. Silly boy. However, they could see the sad face on my poor dejected child and the utter disappointment that another three days would have to pass before he could ride his new wheels. Hence, the kind dudes decided, enough, we shall build this mighty steed, give us half an hour and it'll be ready to ride. Halfords is a great and underrated store. After trying a local garage who couldn't fit me in for days and the main dealer, I went to Halfords, was shown straight to the right halogen bulbs for the dipped beam on our car and fitted them for under £10 and in under 20 minutes. Fab!

Although the store was busy the staff were very professional. Under the present Covid restrictions they performed admirably with regard customer service. I did not wait long in the store. I bought a car less than 24 hrs prior to going to Halfords. I had to buy a wing mirror so was offered a free check by Ellie. First she checked all around the car then it was open the bonnet time. No oil, no coolant and the head gasket had gone. I was devastated but Ellie gave me advice, she even spoke to the seller on the phone to confirm her findings, she supported me and was so empathetic to my situation. My wiper blade broke off on a sub zero day when it got stuck to the windscreen. I drove to Halfords and saw a sign saying 'We can supply and fit your windscreen wipers' which was reassuring. I was served very quickly and they knew exactly which blades I needed. I paid £3 to have them fitted as well and they came out within minutes and fitted for me. My family and I had actually visited your store on both the 16th and 17th august as we were looking to purchase a bike for my wife. We were helped by ‘Danny’ on the 16th and I have to say he was one of the nicest people you could wish to meet. He spent a good hour with us on the 16th, offering advice as to which bike would be best suited to my wife’s needs and we ended up spending £270 in your store. Not only was he friendly and approachable, he took his time when explaining the pros and cons of different bikes and in no way did we feel pressured . We also enquired about how we could go about fixing my daughters bike and he suggested that we brought it in the following day to be looked at. On the 17th august, we returned to hit store to see ‘Danny’. Again, he offered absolutely fantastic customer service and ended up fixing my daughters bike for her much to our delight. He also advised us on which baby carrier would be best suited to our bikes and we chose one which he recommended. Historically, I have never really enjoyed shopping in Halfords due to a poor customer experience many years ago. However, Danny has absolutely smashed my ore conceived ideas and I will absolutely be retuning closer to Christmas to purchase a bike for my daughter from you. Danny is an absolute credit to your store and company and I truly hope that he receives some form of recognition for his amazing customer service.

Went looking for the removal keys for my Smartcar touch screen head unit; to try and rewire faulty reverse camera and DAB radio (installed by previous owner) The technician came out for a look, but they didn’t stock them. He did however proceed to show me an easy work around. But then ended up taking 10 minutes to do all the re-wiring (probably would have taken me 2 hours plus of trial and error) All properly rewired, professionally and correctly finished. And he charged me next to nothing! What amazing customer service and THAT is why I always Halfords!

We visited this branch of Halfords today the 1st August to look at Tom Tom Satnavs. We were greeted by a very pleasant, helpful and polite young man called Lee. After a most informative conversation with him, we decided to take Lee's advice & purchased a new model Tom Tom. We were most surprised that Lee then suggested that he would accompany us to our car in the carpark and set this model up for us. He must have spent at least 1/2 an hour showing my husband how it worked, for which he was very grateful! We would like to award Lee 10 out of 10 for being such a helpful young man & we hope that Halfords will recognise him as much as we did. Well done Lee! Margaret & Frank of Lydford. 💑 .
