The technician, Simon, was extremely helpful in explaining the alternatives. Once we decided he was happy to fit it for us for no additional cost. N. G.Thank you Halfords for installing a new battery in my car, I really needed a new one and where I bought the car didn't believe there was an issue. Although I had to leave it over night in a car park because the battery died, but the young man who installed it was very thorough, and patient as the parts around it were stuck, and took time to make sure everything was in place when it was done. P.As far as shopping experiences go, I tend to know what I want before going in - with Halfords it's no different, but it's easy to find what you need in the store and the staff are pretty friendly. The fitting service is helpful if you've got a car that you know is a pain to replace stuff on (I'm looking at you, Toyota Yaris), but for some jobs it's over priced.
Stock is up to date on the website, so you can easily know if it's going to be there when you go - I've not had this fail me yet.
N. P.Warning light came on so I popped into Halfords in Whitley. Greeted by warm staff who sorted me out quickly. We also had a laugh, spoke with 3 members of staff and they were all great and brightened up my day. Oh yeah, and sorted out my car.

f.Simon did an excellant job in a very short time. He was not happy that one of the connectors ws making a good contact with rge battery and worked hard to correct the problem.

I was looking for a adapter for my new Avtex Sat Nav.
I left the plug in, attachment in my caravan 80 miles away. I didn’t see anything on the shelf. I had actually walked out of the building when Simon who works there approached me, and asked did you not find what you were looking for. I explained to him and he said yes, we do stock them. Apparently he saw the sat nav in my hand and saw me walk out. What a asset Simon is to Halfords

Good service and well stocked store. Here you can get oil, parts, wipers, car seats, tools... and they even have a large choice of bicycles.
Not all staff is the same when it comes to knowledge and motivation but most often than not you will find someone who is willing to brainstorm with you and help you to find the right part.

c. f.Friendly helpful staff but had to return one of the items as when I opened the box when I got home instead of finding a new brake calliper I found a used broken damaged one with bits missing !! Halfords are evidently not checking returns properly and it was stressful and time wasting having to take the goods back as I thought they may think I was trying to return an old part.Fortunately they did not and I got the correct new brake without any issues.Good job it wasn’t a present as that would be embarrassing when opened!!!!

In both cases the assistants and staff I thought went out of their way to be helpful when they could easily have done just the minimum.

V. H.I've only been here a couple of times but the service is very friendly and helpful. I had a mini service to check everything as well as get my rear brake light bulb fitted and it cost only £15.00 for nearly an hour's work! In Sydney that wouldn't happen and would cost a fortune.
The staff don't rush you away to serve the next customer and I also found out where to take my car for regular serving. Very impressed indeed.

R. B.I collected a bike from the branch 8 weeks ago. Bought the bike online on a Sunday morning, had a call with 30 mins to say it will be ready that day. 3 hours later (about 12.30pm) bike was ready for collection. The lady was really helpful. Went back again last week for the 6 week check (as part of the cycle care pack) and was told bike will be ready in 24 hours. Had a call 2 hours later saying it was done. Brakes checked, gears were realigned, and even cleaned and re-lubed the drivetrain (which wasnt on the list).
Overall, i have been to this branch 3 times since i bought the bike and they have been brilliant. Too many people are quick to jump and shout about poor service.

By far the best way is to click and collect online at the moment, if you don't and ask for something they'll bring what your want to the front but your can't go in, great for virus control but a bit slow, a good trade off I think. Card only payments right now.

Found the place was organised and technician quickly assigned, who did the job efficiently and was personable. I would be very happy to recommend it.

Bought new bosch wiper blades to swap for old. Great advice in store and guy in car park was ace at fitting them and took a couple of minutes to help me resolve a washer squirter problem that Evans Halshaw had failed to. Offered him a thank you tip but he politely refused. A real gent.
