Went in for a full service given the car had a recent breakdown with a leaky pipe containing engine coolant - which i believed had been sorted with some sealant but wanted to be sure. After being able to book online for the very next day. Staff were friendly and got a call back within 3 hours explaining additional work they recommended(not needed, the issues were all in the amber stage). Guy on the phone clearly explained what the work was, cost for it and a couple recommendations for after i got the car on top of being informed they couldn't find any leaks - amazing! my biggest worry had been laid to rest. I gave the go ahead for the additional work to be done and got the car back early evening and could easily notice the difference in braking, steering, handbrakes. Overall they did a great job on what they said they'd do. The reason for the four stars is the leak that no longer existed(which the breakdown recovery guy couldn't see, i never saw again after that and nobody who did the service saw either) came back in a big way after having been driven for about 20 minutes after the service and drained the coolant tank dry. While it sits still with the engine on it wont leak or for small drives so i can't really fault the guys for not catching it short of taking it out for a drive around the city. but it is a major issue resulting in me being unable to drive it which you'd hope wouldn't happen right after a service. Do recommend for a service and repairs despite this. My cars just a pain

I had replaced some tyres at Kwik-fit and had been informed my brakes were in a bad condition. I was quoted over £250 to replace back brake pads and discs as "there is nothing left on the pads and the discs are damaged as its basically metal on metal". My car's MOT (5 months previously) had said all brake components were in good condition so was suspicious and declined the offer. I then booked into Halfords for the free brake check. Having warned the staff the brake pads would probably need replacing I was relieved (and very angry at Kwik-fit) when informed there was no problems with either pads or discs and they had plenty of wear left in them. Andy and the staff were brilliant and I really appreciated their excellent customer service. No question that I will be returning to Halfords for any work required on my car. Kwik-fit will not be seeing me, or my custom, again.

Following the sudden breakage of a coil spring on my vehicle and the total lack of care and arrogance shown by the local Ford garage in Aberdeen, I turned to Halfords who helped to get me out of a muddle. I thought with it being first thing on a Monday morning I'd not stand a chance of getting my vehicle repaired but all credit to these guys, I arrived at the garage 0830 and explained my predicament being some 450 miles away from home and by 1020 they were on the phone saying it was all complete and ready for collection. Honestly cannot fault their service. Also got a free lights, wipers, battery and tyre health check so a big thanks to Steven who did the repair and Andrew who arranged it as a priority 👍👍

Have had two visits this month. One for a really bad leak that was letting rain water in through my boot into the foot-wells, and the other for my windscrean water jets not working. Both jobs were done pretty quick and the issues explained to me which is great because now I can identify the issues myself. Front wheel alignment and two new tyres fitted. It was simple to choose the tyres online and book a slot in two days time at my convenience, and pay online. Turning up for the appointment slot was simple. The job was done in just over an hour and I was invited back to collect the car. All in all a good experience.

This was the second time that I've used Halfords for my tyres. In both cases the service was impeccable. The price was competitive, but that was not the main differentiation. i booked a wheel alignment and a free health check and got an appointment for first thing the next day which was really good . Staff were very friendly when i dropped the car off . The guy phoned to tell me they were done and was polite on the phone he gave me the breakdown of what they had found on the health check and asked if i wanted them rectified at this time i declined and they maintained the politeness . even after fixing my loose steering rack and not charging me for it . i can not fault these guys in any way shape or form .

I waited while the work was carried out (puncture repairs and balancing). Staff were efficient, and pricing reasonable. On arrival I was asked for my registration number - said they did not have it on the booking, although I had given it over the phone when making the booking - a minor point. Disappointed/surprised that there was no tea/coffee available in the reception area for customers waiting for their vehicles. I would have been happy to pay for it, but there was nothing provided. I would go back there again for similar work.

Downside is that the road leading to and within the carpark looks like it's been subject to several rounds of carpet bombing, so you may need to enquire about refitting suspension, unless you happen to drive a Panzer. Great service and helpful place, in a good location too, but watch the road.

First time using Halfords for MOT, was a bit sceptical as these mainstream garages some times like to get their money worth. Not Halfords though, they completed my MOT to the book and it passed with a few advisories. Can truthfully say that I will be returning and know that any work that would need carried out would be genuine. Can't comment on price of repairs since mine never required but £39 for an MOT is a bargain.

Very friendly, and they even properly attached my license plate and didn't charge me for it! Every previous garage has just stuck it on with sticky pads which always fail; little details like this give me a lot of confidence in their commitment to providing a good service.

Had an issue with the air conditioning been filled with freon by another Halfords. The gentleman from the Auto Center advised me to get a refund from the previous Halfords because they do it wrong by not having the proper equipment in store to perform the operation. I went to get the refund and came back to auto Centre to get it fixed with professional equipment. I am a really happy customer since this days you don't get someone to help you with your refund. Also I had the major service and MOT done in this service center and even though it was a bit on the expensive side, I could see the work done on my car, door hinges oiled up and other minor twiks that matter for a car and shouldn't usually be included in a service. I highly recommend Halfords Balnagask.

Great service today, put my wife's Ford Ka in for a free check on cambelt and a free safety check. Work advised was spot on and i liked the fact that I was informed that although there were some advisories, the car would be fine for at leat another 3 months buy it would be worth getting it checked again later. Decided to go ahead with the cambelt change anyway as I knew it was overdue to be done. Good honest service. Have used many times in the past, but had stopped going there as I had felt work was getting more expensive, however based on today and the price for a cambelt change was the best that I had quoted, I'll be back.

MOT wasn't started until 12:40pm and due to an issue with the DVA system the MOST was finally complete at 2:10pm making me late for work. They were very professional and I think you shouldn't be worried about your car passing MOT if you go through Halfords tutorials on how to prepare your car for MOT testing.

There's a sticker on the car door that states the manufacturers recommended pressure of 35psi (and I could also have been asked) yet within 3 miles the "low tyre pressure" indicator light came up on my dashboard. When I checked the pressure was only 32psi. Unfortunately not the only tyre seller with this issue! Otherwise very good service
