P.Having recently moved to Belfast from Liverpool I was nervous to find a garage that wouldnt pull the wool and rip me off. After following the reviews on here and choosing Ravenhill Garages i can say I am not disappointed. Expecting to be hit by a big bill (as car is getting on abit now) I was pleasantly surprised at the minor price it cost me to fix the car ready for MOT. Not only that the car faults were cleared, a few nicks here and there sorted and screen wiper liquid was added at no extra cost. Nice man, reasonably priced and a quick turn around. Will be back again for sure.

In (not-so) summary: Had a break down on Saturday 21st September with the car (a Peugeot 207 Sport) complaining of "engine overheating". Ended up getting towed back to Belfast on the Saturday night, car still in one piece thankfully but through a conversation with the man from the RAC we both assumed there was some kind of issue with the car's radiator (made more real by the puddle that had leaked out of the engine on the drive home).
Called the Ravenhill Garage at 10AM on Monday morning and was speaking to Steve (very friendly fellow) who confirmed they could have someone call round to check out the car (I was on the same street as the garage) that morning, for a small callout fee of a tenner. Within an hour and a half, Shaw turned up to check out the car. Confirmed the actual issue was a broken thermostat housing within about 10 minutes and told me he would get a price put together for parts, labour and VAT and give me a call back in an hour or so.
Within 30 minutes, got a call from Steve confirming they could get the part they needed and the total cost for parts, labour and VAT would be under £100. Excellent value considering the part itself (online anyway) can cost up to £75.
By 3PM, Shaw was back with the new part, had it installed and the car was 100%. Also told me I could give them a shout again if I had any further problems. Fantastic service, very friendly staff, very knowledgable and very efficient. Couldn't ask for more. Nice work lads!

K. S.Just came in for an estimate for the repairs on a dodgy wiring issue and a broken mirror, and within 10 minutes Steve had it all fixed. Friendly, helpful and fast, I cannot recommend this gentleman enough!
F. M.I cannot begin to describe how happy I am with the level of service offered at this garage - The things that impressed me most were:
1. the owner Steve is just a gem, pure and simple, really knows his stuff and has good, solid customer service skills (a rare quality amongst most mechanics)
2. After discussing the jobs needing done, his "guestimate" was bang on...actually the real price was a little less.
3. His staff were friendly and charming and equally knowledgable - not the moody, ominous, vague nightmare cowboy mechanics. These young men were eager and welcoming of the work and had people skills too! Bonus :)
4. The quality of the work is solid, one hundred percent! The fact that the garage said it would stand over any work done creates confidence in their work.
I could not recommend this garage more. I had tested four other garages in the local area nearby. A few didn't even give the correct diagnosis (even though I knew what the problems were). One even argued with me over what the problem was. My advice is get your work done here and rest assured it has been done competently and by people who actually care about the standard of their work, are honest in their dealings and, as rare as it is in these times, come across as honourable people - in other words, people that you actually want to do business with
Personally, in my dealings with Steve, I have not one complaint. He's the type of guy who does the job so well and is so nice about it that, even after you've paid him, you find yourself thanking him still.
So, thank you:) You've restored my faith in repair garages once more and deserve all the work you can get.
b.I have been using Ravenhill garages for about a year now and would highly recommend their services. i have found steve , the owner to be a first class mechanic and very honest too. He looks after my vintage vw camper and my every day car and im very happy with prices and any work he has done. Its hard to find an honest mechanic and this guy has had the opportunity to to rip me off a couple of times but has been totally honest with me and for this reason i will always recommend Ravenhill garages.

G. D.I had broken down right in front of the garage. I had gone in+spoke with Steve but he was booked up solid and i could see how busy the garage was. He had a quick look and he could see i was stressed out by it and i could see that he was struggling with if he could fit it in.

j. b.I used to use another garage in East Belfast but became dismayed at the high bills. So, by chance, I decided to go to Ravenhill Garages and have never looked back. Steve (his business) is such a pleasant, happy guy and is always willing to help you out without ripping you off. A couple of times now I have called Steve about problems with the car and he has always helped, even gone out of his way to help. If you want an honest mechanic, that doesnt rip you off, will do the work to your car to a high standard and always keeps you informed then go to Ravenhill Garages and ask for Steve.
