great guys but they never exactly tell you when your car is ready for pick up. twice now i had to ring around 04:00 (as they close at 5:00) to be informed "yeah its ready for pick up" when i was expecting to get the car earlier. They also have the audacity to send you "your car is ready for collection" email after you call them out of agitation.

Staff are great but it is a busy little venue. There's very little parking too which certainly adds to the stress. The biggest issue is that you can't call the centre itself as it directs you to a main switchboard with an annoyingly long message and totally incompetent staff. I had a quick issue which the centre team could have quickly resolved but not something I could do online; despite the lengthy message telling me to do so. I called twice: first time they sent my call to the wrong store and the second time they just hung up! I ended up having to drive there and speak in person on my lunch break which is both frustrating and wasteful. I would recommend them as the staff are great but the whole inability to call them means I doubt I will use them ever again.

There is a gentleman called Daniel at this garage. I first witnessed his care and attention with a customer before me and he then assisted me with coolant. What a top guy and will continue to use this garage in the future. Halford make sure you look after him, what an asset!

Outstanding experience. From the moment I walked in Dan the manager was welcoming and professional. Left car for major service which was done and any recommendations all documented in an email. No pressure to get the additional work done. The manager deserves some serious recognition. Most friendliest technician I have ever come across!

Been there for the last two days. First day was for a repair check based on a loose wire. Unfortunately the day was busy and they couldn't get round to checking the problem until late which was a little disappointing, however customer service was good and once they had checked the issue, they ordered the part for the next day and got the problem fixed. Overall a good experience and would recommend as long as you have the day to wait it out.

I put my 2005 Mondeo in for a full service hoping that would solve the emissions issue before my next MOT, in a couple weeks. The plan was get it through mot and drive it for a few more months before getting another car. Having just had a brief look, they advised against the full service as some major overhaul of the engine costing additional some £600 at least before passing an MOT. This was good advice (although I wasn't too surprised either) . The staff were courteous and saved me wasting money. I had already paid online but customer services will be refunding the money. Though Halfords lost out in the short term, I will definitely remember them in the future for servicing (my next car!).

Took my car for it's MOT and it failed on 4 issues, that meant I couldn't drive it home that evening. After arriving home by taxi, I realised that I had forgotten my house keys which were still attatched to the car keys, so I contacted Halfords and even though they where about to close, they offered wait until I returned for the keys so I could get into my home. Luckily my wife came home early and the crisis was averted. The Halfords in Perry Barr, fixed my car and kept me updated to the costs/advisories/MOT, plus giving me updates when my car would be ready for collection. The staff treated me and my car with respect, making it easy for me to recommend this garage to my family and friends. This type of sevice is how all garages should be, but sadly many are not.

Great team! They were super friendly and answered every question I had! I was kept informed throughout the MOT.m and advised on a time frame which was great as it was freezing outside and I didn’t fancy waiting out there for that long! With there proactiveness I was able to plan a left home and then come back for the car! the team explained the results of my MOT, they were up front and honest about it which I loved!

Ordered to get fitted because my daughter was home from University for a day. Bloke turned up on time, took off the tyre and then realised the replacement wasnt in the van. Had to rearrange at a different location for the next day. Dissappointed although I did get a 10% discount

Really helpful staff. They kept in contact with me and my daughter regarding the MOT and service progress (I am in Reading and my daughter in Walsall). A bit of a surprise on the cost of the spark plugs (even if they are the ones recommended by Toyota).. I should have checked the price first before committing to new ones. I am old enough to know better. I think a warning would have been good (£108 for 3 plugs). However, I cant take away anything else from the team!! :)

There was an unavoidable postponement of my original booked mot day and time. But I was quickly booked into another convenient slot. After failing the MOT, I was able to leave my car overnight and the required works carried out the next day. All in all, apart from the fail thing, it was a positive experience.

I booked my car in for an MOT with Halfords at Perry Barr, I usually go to my dealership but thought I'd try Halfords out as they had an MOT discount. I was dealt with courteously and my Mot was carried out swiftly. I was talked through the outcome of my MOT and provided with a written quote for the work needed. Had my car problems diagnosed and repaired here today. Ranging from new battery, complete brakes, bulbs, coolant issues, brake fluid contamination, tyres and suspension knocking I had more than ten issues over the whole car and was worried about the price it would come to . They sorted everything in one day and now its mot worthy and running exceptionally well. And the price for all the work and parts was very reasonable. Plus now I have brakes for life. Very happy

I experienced a lot of problems with a third party company that delivered my tyres to this business. That where due then to fit them . They couldn’t as they sent the wrong tyres. This company helped me to resolve this problem and sort out some tyres that actually fit my car and balance my car all at a cost much cheaper than the original price of the other company. They were professional, transparent , on time and kept me updated with works . I will definitely go back and recommend this company!

Booked car in for free tyre check, had an appointment in 1 hour's time. Total check took 30 mins, I was there for 1 hour. Comfortable seating. At the end, just handed me a piece of paper. Paper had no mention of tyre tread depths, only mentioned condition of tyres (amber/red). I would appreciate being told about my tread depths in person or on paper, without having to ask for it. However, happy with service by technician who took good care of my vehicle. Thank you.

Tyres were a great price and fitted in good time in my scheduled appointment. However, the next morning (which was colder than the previous day) the tyre pressure warning light came on. When I checked the pressures at a garage they were about 6-7 psi lower than recommended. Since filling to the correct pressure (34psi for my car) they appear to now be fine.
