I took my car to Portslade Kwikfit for an Mot at very short notice. I phoned and the manager Don said just bring it down the next day and they would fit it in.He phoned me as soon as the mot was finished. There was an advisory but this was explained when I collected my car. Don was very professional and courteous. I was very pleased with the service and would use this branch again.

I had 4 new tyres fitted last September and one tyre kept loosing its presure I took the car back to them on friday 7Jan and a realy helpfull young lad removed the troublesome tyre and refitted with a sealant as the air was leaking around the wheel rim, Well done guys.

Had an issue with my lug nuts being chewed up by my torque wrench. Contacted them to ask if they could assist in getting them out and the chap who spoke to me explained how these particular bolts were prone to expanding over time hence the tricky removal. He helped me loosen all of the offending bolts and advised me on where and how to get some new ones that day (which I did). Didn't ask for payment and was only too pleased to help. An excellent experience all round. Can't fault the service.

Quality team here, quick wheel alignment which went a bot sideways when a suspension bolt snapped (not their fault) they had a replacement sourced from BMW within an hour and fixed for a minimal fee. Great result and will be back!

I booked free brake check as i had a warning light on the dash board. Turns out it wsnt breaks it was a tyre pressure warning. Guys checked the brakes and the tyres and cleared the warning light and didint charge a penny. Thanks guys.

Took my car in car in for a routine service. Was met by the centre manager. Donnacha, who was polite, efficient and courteous. The service was a little 'overdue' but he managed to fit me in quite quickly, despite the centre obviously being very busy. I was very satisfied with the service I received from Kwik Fit and would happily recommend Donnacha and his team.

Went in for a punctured tyre, I was greeted by a great chap named Daryl. Super friendly and really knew his stuff, I came out with 4 brand new ones at a great price and fitted in perfect time. Lovely customer service and will definitely be coming back next time. Give the man a raise

Great that these places stayed open during this virus time and glad to get a great price for replacing tyres. All the demands with spacing upon entering the reception was a bit over extreme but that's just the way it is. Nothing outstanding service wise and told to expect a call in an hour or 1.5 hours when ready. The call never came and so 2 hours later I returned to find car finished and no apology for not ringing, he did say he was trying to do 4 things at once???? Great price but basic service.

Darrall totally and utterly saved the day for me. Honestly can’t thank you guys enough. He was absolutely stacked, both phones in the office ringing and enquiries left right and centre. He could see I was clearly stressed out by the lack of support I had received from a neighbouring garage, leaving me unable to work for my wedding booking, but Darrall moved things around and fitted a new tyre for me. Had two valves replaced today, had my space saver on the car. They replaced the valves, put my wheel back on put my space saver in the boot, checked the pressure of ALL my tyres and pumped up where necessary, then reset my tyre pressure warning system on the dash. They were quick, polite, professional, and well groomed(they must have there own barber). The price was a lot cheaper than I expected well done lads and thank you

I have used Kwik Fit numerous times and always received a great service but today they really went above and beyond. Thank you Daryl and Amar. The front of my car had damaged body work and piece hanging down which needed to be seen to as dragging along the road. They told me this is not something they can fix and recommend where I can go. That garage was not open on a Sunday and I was struggling to drive the car due to the damage. I also have to attend hospital tomorrow so was worried about getting it fixed in time. Both guys without me even asking said they can see what they can do and got it on to the ramp and had a look. They managed to do a temporary fix- live savers! I was so grateful to them and really recommend this garage even more so now.

Visited Kwik Fit today as my run flat tyre was attacked and badly damaged by one of the pot hole virus that I didn't notice! Great service and my tyre was expertly and very quickly replaced to almost Formula 1 standards! Also, a very competitive price which eased the pain of an avoidable and annoying expense.

The past 2 weeks have been so unfortunate for me. My parked car got hit by a minibus. I was given a courtesy hire car, 5 days later I noticed that there was a screw in the rear tire sidewall of the hire car. Not sure if it was already there or it happened whilst having the car *sigh*... So I phoned up Kwik Fit, they had the tire in stock. No appointment necessary. The guys were friendly and efficient. The turnaround was extremely fast, approx 15mins from arrival. I was offered hot beverages whilst I waited and given advice about the different options, rather than going straight for the most expensive brand and was given a discount because of my unfortunate situation haha. I highly recommend this particular Kwik Fit branch. The guys are so easy going and are not intimidating like a lot of garages out there.

MOT. Used online booking system which was very user friendly; paid via Paypal. Received confirmation email receipt and text reminder promptly. Friendly and professional staff and Supervisor who went through the advisories. Wait in the comfy waiting area with complimentary drinks/ water or pop up to Boundary road shops.

MOT booked online pain free slick process. Don the duty manager slightly lacking in empathy, took a few minutes to acknowledge my presence. Asked me to place the car keys on the desk, odd behaviour. I was early but Don told me that the MOT was booked for 4pm and that's the time it would be done. The car was taken through at 16:13 hrs. The car passed the MOT with 3 advisories, all tyre related. 2 advisories were tyre condition non-specific. I asked for an explanation and Don said he couldn't do a tyre report until the next day. I pushed and he joined me at the car and explained the advisories. The other advisory was a nail in a tyre, Don didn't offer a repair. The MOT bay cctv monitor in the waiting room wasn't working so I couldn't observe the process. The beverage machine had 'do not touch' stickers stuck on it. A technician entered the waiting room to ask if Don wanted something from the shops, he also offered to fetch a drink for me, a lesson in empathy that Don could learn from. I didn't feel cherished as customer and felt that the experience lacked in the type of professionalism I would expect from Kwikfit.

After a visit today I have decided to potentially upgrade my one star review to a 3 star review.. I have always been aprenhensive about Kwik fit as a brand and a company and as a customer I have had many bad experiences in previous visits to different branches.. I visited here today after having to very reluctantly call them for work to be done to my veichle. I got it straight in for opening time and explained my situation and my dire need to have the car fixed today if they took the job on and the staff who spoke with me seemed friendly enough.. I was quoted £300 to get the engine fixed and it was confirmed as what the guy on the phone suspected it to be.. I didn't mind that as it restored a bit of faith.. I Initially asked how much it would roughly be as an estimate and was told he couldn't give me a figure.. Which raises alarm bells as time equals money in my book and money is something I like to speak before my hopes get dashed.. Well due to this it damaged a little bit of my belief in the brand as many garages can tell a quote when needed and I never got a call back when was told the parts had arrived as informed I would do. I didn't have any information in the loop so had to call them to find out my car was finished and ready for collection.. Now I know kwikfit have a mediocre reputation for a variety of things but as a driver it appears other household brand name garages do too.. Will I return?? At this stage I'll be returning as it wasn't as bad of an experience to what I have experienced back in 2006 when I last had a veichle fixed by the brand.. Good to see a possible number 2 for garages when needed in emergency... Until next time I'll stay sitting on the fence..
