My car failed the MOT on handbrake and a loose bolt on the rear suspension/axle. Ghey said they couldn't do the work there so i tooknit to another local garage who had a look and put it on the testing stuff and said they found no faults, i had to pay for their labour. I had problems getting a retest booked due to their staff absences and when i finally got it in for retest it passed, even though the work they said was required didnt get or need to be done 🤷‍♂️ any way, MOTs done and the staff there were nice.

Went for an MOT, required welding and a few this and that's. They recommended Kibbie's auto bodies just round the corner, solid mechanical and welding work, without the often scary welding price so thanks for suggesting them! Then took it back to them for the MOT repass which they honoured. Solid bunch of peeps

The Halfords in Bedminster offer a professional and quality service that's led by a very knowledgeable and personable manager. The services that we received were good value, as quoted, on time, and everything was completed in a clean and tidy manner. Although we live the other side of the city we will certainly continue to use this branch of Halfords as it has high standards and is very professional but still good value.

Having only taking my van in for tyres, the starter motor gave out in the car park (she picks her moments!). The guys at the autocentre were fantastic, volunteered to have a look, were really thorough at finding the problem and went out of their way to get it sorted as quickly as they could. Very easy not and full service competed, done within 3 hours of dropping my car off. Very clear on work that needed doing for very reasonable prices. Friendly staff and prompt service after booking online to change my tyres. However very little care taken in terms of cleaning. My alloy rims were very dirt after the install and staff didn’t care to remove stains they provoked.

Decent service. I am really satisfied. They do not try to trick you with additional charges. Also, the service is really fast compared to my previous experiences. My MOT appointment was at 9.20, and the car was ready at 10.20. Highly appreciated.

Booked a time slot to have a tyre changed. Picked the tyre and paid on line the day before. Good price and nice chap on reception but took over an hour to get it done then was blocked in the car park for another 10 minutes.

Took my car in for an MOT and full service. Great customer service by the younger employee on the front desk with the other guy being grumpy. As a knock on effect of Corona, there was a queue outside and it was raining with no provision for customers to stay dry. Overall a good experience and I'll be back.

We use this branch to service and maintain our Bristol based company vehicles. We had an instance whereby our CCTV vehicle suddenly broke down due to Alternator failure. Shaun the Branch Manager pulled out the stops going above and beyond and replaced the Alternator in just over half a working day demonstrating outstanding customer service and delivering a great result for our company by saving a replacement vehicle been sent over from across the country. As a Fleet Manager I would highly recommend this Autocentre. Service, pricing and workmanship are excellent and dependable.

Car booked for MOT (discounted offer price on website, was £30ish), waited while done. Asked if they could do free battery check too (said they were busy but would try). MOT passed, included quoted prices for the minor advisorys which is useful info if I wanted to get them fixed, battery check done too. Happy with my MOT booking & battery check, all good :)

Booked and paid for a battery replacement online. The website had recommended the wrong battery after inputting my reg. number. The manager kindly offered to provide a more expensive battery for the same price. All it took was a quick call to customer services.

I cannot thank these guys enough! (Shaun, Dan & Co) for the excellent service they gave me. I have always worried that as a female driver garages will take me for a fool or rip me off. The mechanics at Halfords Autocentre West Street have restored my faith. After being without my car for two separate days while another garage tried to fault find/fix the problem, Halfords Auto found the source of the noise within 30 mins!!! I wasn't convinced until I drove it home and the noise is gone! Thanks to Shaun who was so good at showing me exactly what the problem was and what the noise was. I really appreciated you explaining exactly what was going on and showing me the parts. I feel I have learned something. I will definitely come back to you for all car related issues/MOT/service etc and will recommend you to any friends that ask.

The manager, Shaun, was really helpful to re-arrange the appointment to make sure the car was ready for me and kept me in touch with progress which was greatly appreciated. He also arranged a free diagnostic in another branch as I was not able to return to Bristol.

Another successful visit to Halfords with my van. Shaun is a superb manager and the mechanics are always ready to sort out any problems that need fixing with my van. I broke down near Halfords so they kindly popped out to see if they could get me mobile, turns out it was the starter motor so I had my van towed too Halfords. 24hrs later a new starter motor and they even made me aware my tyres were very nearly illegal so offered to put new tyres on too which I was pleased they went ahead with. Moneys tight so Shaun suggested the Halfords payment plan which is interest free !!!! I always recommend to friends they use Halfords, West St, Bedminster it’s a flagship for the Halfords group without a doubt :)

I took my car into Halfords Autocentre Bedminster about a month ago as a warning light had come up on my dashboard, as this happened at about 5pm on a Friday right before I was due to drive to London I was really concerned I wouldn't be able to get it checked out, trying my luck I popped in to see if anything could be done (about 15 mins before closing!) And thankfully I was greeted by Shaun who was so helpful and accomodating, regardless of the time he agreed to run a diagnostics check there and then, and when he realised the problem (airbag connection under the passenger seat) was even able to fix it on the spot.. can't imagine many garages would have been so accomodating 15 mins before close. Great service. Thank you so much Shaun!

I came here for help as my wing mirror had been knocked off but was still dangling by the wires. All I needed was the wire cutting so the wing mirror was completely unattached. They did so with no problem and were really kind about the whole thing. Will deffo return if I have any other issues!
