This is a family run business by people who are enthusiastic about their work and take pride in it. We approached them to retrofit OEM parking sensors to a VW van because no one else in Essex could do it (too complicated I guess?). They did it and there was a slight issue afterwards so we delivered it back and they sorted it asap. The other thing is Gosia the reception manager is really good at communicating.

Excellent service. Honest, and knowledgeable. Better than the Audi dealership In Ipswich by a country mile. API got to the root of the problem (issue with the MMI/electrics) and fixed it. Audi dealership left me with a big bill and the car wasn’t even fixed. Really recommend API.

They were very helpful when I turned up with an urgent brake problem and no booking. They were the only garage we tried willing to check them for us on the spot, told us exactly what needed doing and offered a fair price to do it. Sadly they couldn't do the work before the car was needed though that had more to do with our tight schedule than anything. Of the half dozen garages we visited they were by far the most positive customer experience.

I had the engine blown up in My Audi TT. Didn’t know this place before, i took it there as this was nearest. They had the engine replaced , and with the engine out took care of many other issues , which they didn’t charge me for ! The job was done quickly and most importantly very well!! So Far so good, every vehicle (about 5 so far) have been fixed, on time, no drama's and always within the price quoted and nothing missed, absolutely recommend, they know their stuff and actually repair some things if possible rather than just replace.

We had an unexpected MOT failure on one of our cars and were recommended to go to API. I was immediately impressed by the way Arek approached the issues and his cost conscious assessment. He and his team sorted everything out for us in just a few days and the work has been done to a high standard; not only that, he kept to all his promises on timing and keeping us informed. And the icing on the cake: he also fixed two problems that weren't even on the list and which other garages had said would involve expensive repairs. All this and friendly service too. I am really impressed and will certainly be using API again.

After to being to multiple garages around Colchester and being told different prices and different problems with my Audi TT, I was recommend API and they knew exactly what the problem was and repaired my car for a very fair price and all within 24 hours. A month has passed and still no problems! This is the first time I’ve been to a garage where no cowboy repairs are done or unnecessary parts are replaced. They fixed all the correct parts and the staff are very friendly. I especially recommend this for Audi and VW owners.

Damaged rear parking sensors following a rear impact a couple of weeks ago. I don't know the area very well and couldn't find a garage who could sort it and then someone told me to try API. What a service! These are lovely guys who couldn't do enough to help. Sorted my problem in no time and didn't rip me off! Absolutely brilliant and I would recommend them all day long! Thank you API!

Great specialists worth every recommendation! Price are competitive and you can fully relay on Arek’s, Chris’es and Jay’s experience and also Gosia’s kindness and great attitude to deal with customers. After moving into Colchester and finding good GP and hair dresser (for my Mrs) 😊 we had to find decent garage as we bought second car. Most of local places told us to wait a week or so. API booked us almost immediately and competently replaced/set timing and carried out full service. They also repaired couple of minor bits without extra charge. Car was returned in a very clean condition; all works done were fully explained including advisories for the future. Just recently I fully serviced another car, get EGR valve replaced and had a thorough inspection. I was very pleased with the job done and feedback provided; in fact, Arek found “few extra horses under the bonnet” and the car’s power is now impressing. When the car was with API we had to fix little issue in the second one. Although they were extremally busy, they efficiently finished the first vehicle, swap the cars and repaired the second one on the same day. Excellent! Thanks guys! I’m looking forward to seeing you again.
