Absolutely great service, and friendly staff.Had an MOT done and service a couple months ago and week ago I heard a scrapping sound going on and off for few weeks and was concerned. Called up and was booked in and seen to very quickly. I would definitely recommend.

Always like using this garage - find going to the garage a bit nerve wracking as someone with no clue about these things but they’ve never been anything but helpful and friendly and always get the job done quickly with everything explained. Brilliant garage. Appearances can be deceptive. As someone else has said it's a typical no nonsense under the arches garage. They are honest and trustworthy which is a rare commodity with many garages. They treat your car with respect and are always good value. I have my Volvo serviced here and can't fault them. We have used them at least 7 times now and I wouldn't go any where else.

Honest, if a bit rough and ready :-) Literally a traditional under the arches place offering decent quotes that they stick to even if they end up spending much more time than they anticipated - which is exactly what happened when they changed the rear shock absorbers. I've also had MOTs and two sets of brakes and discs changed there in the past, absolutely no complaints and really good prices for quality products. Would have given 5 stars but they didn't want to quote for a more complicated transmission job and said I would have to supply the BMW part to them, they weren’t going to source it for me. This is after the suspension job they did, so perhaps it was once bitten twice shy?

Used this garage for the 1st time. Had a full service and MOT. Very competitive price, my car was collected and returned which is very useful when you work full time. Lorraine phoned me and sent pictures of an issue before commencing with the service, which I appreciated. I found them friendly, honest and professional, will use again.

Love love love this company anyone who has had problems with other garages, main brand companies taking their time with your repairs ripping you off with prices. Then take your vehicle down to S M auto and body repairs. They have gave me the confidence I never had before knowing I’m leaving my motor in good hands. After I was messed around with Citroen for a month over my brakes. S M auto came through. What took Citroen a month. Took S M auto a few hours I had my car back in one day. I have had all my work done there since then. My services and mots. I pop in today with a broken exhaust it was a small job but they still sorted it for me and charged me nothing. Obviously it was a tiny job hence the no charge. But that’s what S M motors is all about the quality of service, a happy customer and making sure your motor is safe for you to drive. While keeping cost reasonable depending on job size, cost of parts and time of labour to fit but still better prices than Citroen were charging just to look at my motor. They can even sort you out if your car on finance. So next time hit up S M Auto & body repairs I dare you. Believe me it will be life changing you will never go to another garage again. Before I forget check out the prices for a standard Mot and service you wouldn’t believe it if I told you.

It was a wet day so I explained to the lady behind the desk I was walking home so if weather was too bad I may have to come back another day with my small son. She had the car seen straight away while we waited and didn't charge me anything as it was just air needed in the tyres. Wouldn't go near another garage honest , quick and friendly service 👍

I have never trusted a garage more than I trust S M Auto - I've been here a few times for MOTs and have they passed my car for its NOT on three occasions without any extra work needed! That in itself is a rarity as many garages will charge you work you don't need! Always very reasonably priced, friendly, knowledgeable and have a very cute parrot and dog on site! What more could you want? These will be my regular for a very long time!

Cheap quick and friendly people. Mini told me id need nee breaks and all and they had a look and said they're fine. A lot of places take advantage of a woman coming in who doesnt know a lot about cars. But they were honrst and fair. And so I left the place with just the MOT bill instead of a several hundrrd.

Good place with reasonal charges, I went for my cars startup issue and they ran few test and found its a battery issue and i had to change the battery as it was dead, they charged a minimum amount for labour. I would suggest this place for quick repairs but need to go for a full service with them.
