Fantastic all round!! Main dealers could learn a whole lot from this garage. I used them on recommendation to repair my Range Rover Sport and I can see why. They actually know all about the mechanics of the vehicle. I felt 100% confident in their knowledge. They explained everything clearly to me, so I understood the repairs required to fix the problem. They have been so polite, kept me in the loop and gone totally over and beyond for me. I am one happy customer and can’t recommend them enough…thanks guys.

Had a leaking main seal on Evoque. Had clutch kit fitted at same time. Excellent service and they made sure the job was done even though it took an extra few days. The best in Derby.

Had a fault on my Freelander 2 that local garages didn't sound confident doing . Took it to Alan Smith's who identified the problem and costs . Was a couple of weeks before they could fit it in and there not the cheapest garage but my car was returned in perfect working order . I'd rather pay a bit more and have a proper job done than have it done cheap and keep having to bring it back . Thank you for your excellent service 👍

After noticing a rattle on my Range Rover, I took it to my dealership expecting that as the car was under warranty through the Land Rover Approved Used scheme, I didn't have anything to worry about - not the case, they wanted to sting me for £180+VAT per hour for diagnostics and even then it was unlikely to be covered according to the smug chap behind the desk. Luckily, I received a recommendation from another dealership customer for Alan Smith Garages and got in contact. Josh put my mind at ease that based on what I had told him it was unlikely to be too much to worry about and that to bring it in and he would likely get to the bottom of it quickly. He wasn't wrong, after 10 mins the problem was diagnosed, the part was ordered and I was well on the way to resolution. All told it was fixed including parts and labour and VAT for less than half the cost of the minimum 1hr diagnostics from the dealership. Buying a second hand car can be a lottery and its great for me to have found someone as professionally adept and honest as Josh and Alan Smith Garages. I'll definitely be a long term customer from this point onwards!

Highly recommend - carried out MOT and service today on my Range Rover Evoque. Kept me updated during the day before carrying out any work and even picked me up at the end of the day to take me back to the garage. Extremely friendly and efficient staff. Will definitely use again.

Our Discovery 4 failed on the AutoRoute ,northern France. Having no help from the Land Rover dealers in France, Alan Smith Garages Derby came to the rescue. Josh talked me through a quick diagnostic, accompanied by photo images he sent me, and a faulty fuel pump was the culprit. We had our car transported to Derby, where Josh and his excellent team jumped on to it, although the workshop was at a 3 week loading, they managed to work extra hours and get the car repaired, we can now return to Rouen, to collect our caravan, costing 10 euro a day storage! Excellent all round service, This level of professionalism cannot be matched by the Global Land Rover network. Well done Josh and your team, we cannot thank you enough!! Phil & Sue.

I have been using the Team at Alan Smith for over 7 years to attend to my Range Rover and previous Discovery. I have always found them to be attentive, polite, professional and caring. They are cost effective as they will advise about potential issues with repair costs up front so no shocks to the system. Even my daughter has used them and she doesn't have a Land Rover.
