R.I cannot give enough praise for how fantastic this garage is. Friendly, professional, very knowledgeable.
After a previous garage had falsely diagnosed my car and failed to repair, I took it to these guys, they immediately identified the issue and repaired it with haste. As they carried out the work that was recommended by the previous garage, which did not fix the problem, on my request they diagnosed the fault themselves and carried out the repair, they only charged me for the initial work, I could not believe the generosity! Very rare.
I can not recommend this garage enough, amazing. 👍👍

T.Not only did their guy put me at ease when they collected my car for VAT by being professional and polite, which for a garage is a great step forward, but when I subsequently thought my battery was completely flat a few weeks later they saw me the same day to fit a new one and then told me when I was there that I didn't need a new battery, the one I had was relatively new and in pretty good shape, there was a loose connection that had been fixed, and there would be no charge. Need I say more?
S. K.First time visiting Top Gear. Went for MOT/ full service/ vacuum and clean.
Did some check on Google reviews and Top Gear had the highest so thought I would give them a go. From the get go, they were super friendly and helpful. I booked an appointment for Saturday and a week or so before, they rang me to confirm the booking and to advise what time I need to bring the car in.
The service itself was quick and efficient. I did add a request to check a couple of noises/ possible issues which they did and provided advised and potential cost.
The car was cleaned well which was good (my wheels were relatively dirty and they were sparkling by the time I picked up the car.
When I purchased my car, I noticed the speedometer wasn’t as accurate (but it wasn’t severe enough to not be able to drive), whilst I have had a few MOT and full services since then, I think Top Gear is the first company to actually correct it without my request. Also noticed that my tyres were fully re-pumped. In my opinion, they have gone out of their way on both (and possibly more but I just haven’t realised) as well known garages I went to before had never done that.
Highly recommend, will be looking to make a booking in the new year for a couple of other services (pollution filter change and rattling noise; neither of them affected the MOT so this can wait until next year)
The only additional cost was for the fog light bulb, which wasn’t mentioned until I got to the payment but completely understand that as it was a cheap price to replace it and needed replacing in order to pass the MOT.

L.Steve at Top Gear fixed my car a few months ago after months of problems, £400+ of cost and two other garages failing to get to the bottom of the problem (engine light on, engine intermittently misfiring). Steve worked out what the issue was and, despite it being a tricky problem to fix, came up with a solution after a few set backs and didn’t charge any extra but stuck to the original quote despite having to bear the cost of additional work and parts. I have had no problems since and the car is running well.
Today I took my car in for a service and MOT and again was very happy with the service.
My husband has also had great experiences with Top Gear and they are now our garage of choice.

The garage also has capability of uploading service history to the BMW iDrive which not many garages do! Customer service is also A+! Will be coming back next year for my service and MOT.

M. K.The reviews are well deserved! Booked a full service in quite some time in advance, had to rearrange on the day i was supposed to take the car in, they would have been within their rights to be frustrated but instead were understanding and rearranged.
Took my car in today and I found the professionalism to be outstanding. They kept me informed of minor niggles that they found and i was happy for them to carry out the work which was very competitively priced. Completed the works alongside a full service within a few hours and i was given a nice service booklet to keep the invoice safe and get stamped in future, which I appreciate as my cars service schedule is on the on board computer, so it was nice to have a professional looking stamped booklet to keep hold of.
And to top it off I enquired about a fog light bulb swap and they kindly offered to carry it out for free if i provide the bulbs, cant say fairer than that!
Top marks for Professionalism, customer service and value for money. Also the garage was well adapted to deal with covid requirements, with screens and sanitiser in reception area.

Steve was strate up with me and told me the part i needed and the cost, as other places wanted to change the hole fuel neck these guys just changed what needed to be fixed. There was abit of a deply with the part being delivered to them but steve rang me and keeped me informed he even stayed late to get the part fitted ready for collection in the morning. Brilliant service and was £30 cheaper at the end then first quoted. 👍

B. L.I had an MOT due in my LWB high top Peugeot Boxer. I called up and he was able to jiggle a few things and got me in on the same day. It went through the MOT but unfortunately failed on the lower suspension arms. They weren’t able to do that the same day as they had already jiggled things to fit me in. But two days later, it was back in and the arms were done. I didn’t even know there was a problem but it certainly is driving a lot better. Stephen/Steven who usually answers the telephone is a top bloke who nothing is too much trouble. I’m not from the area but I certainly would travel to them again should I need their help. I can’t say anymore than that.
