What a difference from some other garages I've used, being scammed at MOT tests by large franchises. Brown's have a very friendly, straightforward and helpful manner. Work carried out efficiently. Recommended.

Went following advice from neighbours as they have a Mercedes specialist. Such a breath of fresh air (and relief to my purse) after my time with the Mercedes garage in Edinburgh. Lovely, straightforward service. Highly recommend.

My family has been customers here for over 50 years. My father bought his first new car here when it was a SAAB dealer and Ian was a mechanic with Willie Rennie, the business is now run by Ian's son Keith. Their work is consistently excellent, and they do all the maintenance on my current car in Scotland, and also motor sport modifications. They are flexible with customers on a budget, and will also tell you when something isn't immediately necessary. They are stil the SAAB specialist in the area, but work on all makes of cars, and are the place people will take something like a classic Rolls-Royce. Until recently the did not have a website, because it's not really needed ... referrals and reputation keep the place constantly busy, but they will work with you by email. As a car enthusiast, I recommend them without equivocation and I would take any car there with confidence.

I was recommended this garage by a friend, I took my Volkswagen UP in for an mot and service and some small general repairs. I could not be more delighted with my visit to this friendly, honest garage and reception staff are great and really down to earth and friendly. My car is working better than ever after some small repairs on my handbrake (brake shoes) and is running like a brand new car after my service. Great experience and will be back every year from now on, after being a regular customer of Volkswagen specialists in Dunfermline I felt it was time to find a small garage that I could take my car to that wouldn't charge an arm and a leg and I could trust them to carry out the work needed honestly. Cannot reccomended this garage enough! Thanks to Keith for carrying out the work on my car.

Absolutely fantastic garage. My wife and her family have used them for decades between them - they always offer tremendous customer service and are totally reasonable when it comes to costs. They will bend over backwards to help you with any car issue you have, going far, far, further than any other garage I've experienced. Every single employee you talk to there displays the same positive attitude, e.g. Darren in the office was recently able to diagnose a fault with my steering column and offer a solution based on nothing more than my rambling explanation of the symptoms while standing in front of him and personally managed the complex work needed to deliver the fix; last year one of the technicians John diagnosed a fault with the EGR valve in my car that the main dealership had just scratched their heads at when I had described the symptoms, in this case suggesting what the problem might be based on little more than a loss of coolant and the age/type of engine - again he was completely correct. In short, you just feel the passion and expertise necessary for doing a great job from every single person you speak to - and embodied by Keith the owner who clearly inculcates this approach and will not accept anything less from any of his employees. Trusting a garage is a real problem these days - rest assured that you are in the best possible hands when you go here. A wonderfully old-school family-run garage and a pleasure to deal with.

Brilliant local garage staffed by experienced guys who know their stuff. Good value, but most importantly honest and trustworthy. Much preferred to any of the big chains.
