Took my old VW van in for an MOT. They identified some rust issues that require major welding and they weren't able to fix. Rather than failing me and taking me money, they didn't charge me a penny and gave me advice on getting it sorted. Really nice honest business, very impressed!

Brilliant Garage, took my old van in for timing belt and water pump and diagnostic as going into limp mode. The guys were great, really good communications, fixed everything at a reasonable rate with no complaints and 3 weeks later van still running great. As a young woman, I'm often anxious about going into garages for fear of being ripped off but pleased to share a positive experience at AVW. I popped in this morning concerned about my tyre pressure ahead of a long drive. I didn't have a appointment and had not used AVW before but they were welcoming and happy to help despite this. Less than a hour after I dropped the car off they had adjusted the pressure on not just the tyre I mentioned but all 4. I really appreciated how swiftly they fixed the issue without trying to upsell or any dodgy tactics. I feel that my car is safe in their hands and I'll be returning for service and MOT later in the year. Thank you again for your help!

SUPERB. Genuinely the best service I've ever had. I phoned at 8.10am with 5 warning lights on my VW Passat. Keith suggested I pop down and they would hook it up to the diagnostic machine. I was there by 8.45am and they had located the issue and provided a quote by 9.20am. Booked in there and then.. with the car fixed and ready to go by noon. An excellent experience, polite, knowledgeable, quick and great value for money. I'll never go to a dealership again. 5 stars. Definitely heading back there when the MOT is due. thanks

Fantastic garage and always a pleasant experience. Have used AVW for around 3 years and have recommended to friends who’ve had equally great experiences. I really trust these guys and not only do they turn a job around quite quickly, but the prices are really reasonable too. Tend to ask for a courtesy car and there’s no charge for this (like at main dealers) and they have an automatic Passat available. I’m more than happy to have the AVW stamp in my service book for my ‘13 plate Golf and consider the service just as good, if not better, than that of a main dealer.

It’s the first time I’ve tried an independent so venturing into the unknown. Delighted to say I found AVW to be knowledgeable, professional and friendly. Car booked in for new break pads, painting the break hubs and an oil change. All done in less than a day and I was very happy with the price. Almost a year on the painted break hubs have lasted longer than when Audi tried to fix them. I’d definitely use AVW again particularly because I felt they took the time to listen and seemed to care.

My usual garage did not have the software required to diagnose the problem I was having with my Audi A3, so they referred me to AVW Autocentre. These guys were superb - quickly found the fault (timing belt) contacted me to let me know what was required and then got on with the job. The price for the repair was very reasonable as I know replacing a timing belt can be a big job. My car is now running like new. I would have no hesitation in recommending this garage to family and friends.

These guys are superb. They replaced the clutch in my Audi A5 in December 2016 with genuine Audi parts for £1000 less than Edinburgh Audi. That clutch recently developed a fault and the guys have just fitted a new clutch under warranty without any fuss or hassle. Excellent service, friendly people who know their stuff and do an all round great job.

I have always taken my Audi cars to main Audi dealer for a service and any other required work, until I decided to look elsewhere as the prices they were quoting for a service inspection and intermediate service were beyond a joke. My main concern was keeping my Audi warranty valid, therefore finding a garage who were able to notify Audi Germany and update any work carried out on my car on the main Audi Germany database. This is where AVW stood out compared to other garages as they have the software in place that allows them to make this happen. The cost I was charged from AVW was less than half the price quoted from main Audi dealership. All work was carried out from very professional, truly helpful and approachable staff, from the reception staff to the garage technicians. If your looking for a trustworthy garage who know how to treat their customers, look no further than AVW. Many thanks guys, and I will certainly be returning to have any work carried out on my car if and when required.

Really friendly and expert service with no nonsense. Took my van to them with a really nasty fiddly job to do which I couldn't manage (almost rounded lower vac pump bolt), which they did without any problems or complaints despite hardly charging me anything for it. Asked them to check other stuff before MOT due, which they did without suggesting anything unnecessary. Really excellent experience dealing with this garage - would definitely recommend to anyone...

I cannot say enough good things about this garage! I make the 640 mile round trip every year with my RS4 just so these guys can service it. I have been coming back now for 3 years and every time I get faultless service, fast, reasonably priced and with a large dose of expertise and advice when needed. Unfortunately this year the car broke down on route to the garage therefore had to be towed most of the way, I feared the worst. So you can imagine my surprise when I phoned a couple of hours after the car had arrived at the garage and was informed it was running and the fault had been diagnosed as a faulty coil pack. Not only was the fault fixed but the service and MOT was still carried out within our required timeframe. Some people might think a 640 mile round trip for a garage is excessive, but when it’s a garage this good, who I can trust 100% with my car, then I can tell you it is well worth it! So thanks again to the team at AVW.

My golf has a cylinder 4 misfire problem and I bought a cable to read the code, suspecting the valve problem or injector problem. A nearby local garage told me it was the timing chain problem which I didn't trust them. I took the car to AVW and the problem was correctly diagnosed and fixed - exactly what I was expecting. Very professional and reasonable price. The only problem is they are too busy but it's very common for a garage with reputation! Won't go anywhere else now.

After other independents tried to change the Earth for everything under the Sun, I was pointed in the direction of AVW by a previous customer of theirs. Their booking list is very full, which is a good sign. They did what I asked for and solved some other problems I asked them to investigate and the bill was much more palatable. I'll be heading back there whenever I need something done to a VAG car.
