I was told my battery needed replaced after being rescued by green flag. I desperately went along to Seafield Halfords to see if they could supply and fit one for me that evening (don’t EVER buy a Nissan Qashqai if you want to spend your life in a garage every month). It was 5:15 and they closed at 6. The man who served me (I think it was grant?) was THE BEST. He was honest, friendly and efficient. Even though the team were busy, he told me he could fit my battery in an hour. And he did. No bullsh**, explained the 4yr warranty on it and I was done. I didn’t want to spend £177 on a battery on a Thursday night (I’ve never had to buy car parts before so not sure if this is a rip off) apart from the price the service was brilliant.

Took my boyfriend’s car here for it’s first MOT and service. They are not one of those garages that tries to find work needing done unnecessarily, nor were they pushy about getting work for advisories done by them, they simply gave us a quote for what it would cost. Even told us to go for the cheaper servicing option because there’s a performance air filter on the car so wasn’t worth the money when we weren’t getting the full package.

Perfect MOT experience. If the car is good to pass they will pass it. There was no kind of nonsense like 'you need new set of wipers to pass' That happened in other garages and was clearly designed to up the sales. My third MOT here and I will be back next year. Also McDonald's is literally next door so you can sit have your breakfast read the emails and you have your car back within an hour.

Problems with car starting, needed new battery. They tested alternator first to make sure battery was needed. Explanations and report given after job was done and were friendly and helpful during all aspects of visit. Price for battery included fitting and testing. Others I tried charged extra for fitting. Have no hesitation in using them again.

Every time they have been extremely helpful, explained everything and completed the work promptly. Booked online for a free battery check. Got there early but was seen straight away. Both the manager and the mechanic were great. They listened to why I wanted the battery check tested the battery then checked the alternator. Both were fine and tried one or two things before recommending I bring my car to the dealer because several system lights keep flashing (ABS, EBD, CBTA, Traction control) etc. I expected that they would try glog me s new batter as many other businesses would but they didn't and they were do helpful. Booked my MOT there because it was available quickly, on a new-to-me Toyota MR2 which had never had rust mentioned on any previous MOT. I was somewhat horrified to discover that the rear subframe was more hole than metal. The team here replaced it in super-quick time, and fell over themselves to keep me in the loop, send pics of progress, even keep the shop open past closing on a Friday night so they could chat with me. I honestly didn't expect this level of service from somewhere like this - I thought it'd be quick'n'dirty. They were great guys, candid and honest about what they could and couldn't do. I'd go back.

Every time I’ve used this Halfords they have been more than right with me. They won’t do unessessary work. They won’t do half jobs. And they won’t charge you for unneeded work. Went for MOT and change of two tyres. Iwas told that the front screen wipers had to be replaced. I was charged £57.87 for the two wipers. I checked at the Halfords shop next door and the exact BOSCH type of wipers for my car model were priced £32, also checked price on Amazon and it was £25. It is ridiculous being charged by Halfords Autocentre £25.87 more than Halfords shop next door. Unfortunately, I was caught in a spot and had to accept the rip-off because my MOT would otherwise fail.

You sent me away with my car with warning lights on to do with low tyre pressure. You explained when I collected the car this was to do with the new tyres and lights would go off quickly. Strange that I never experienced this previous times I got new tyres. I ran the car for a distance and the driver side tyre went off, but passenger side didn't. I ended up having to inflate it as it was not blown up to the correct level. I asked Kia about this and they confirmed that the warning lights should not have come on if tyres had been inflated correctly.
