What a fabulous place to visit. Due to excessive rudeness and negative customer service I planned a dreaded visit to the shop in Bellahouston to get new plates. After waiting @ 5 mins for the guy to lift his head to acknowledge me, I thought 'you don't deserve my custom', so I left....and will NEVER be back. Then, by the off chance, I found this wee treasure of a shop. The owner is just an absolute delight and his banter had me in stitches. His customer service is honestly next to none...he goes over and above to help, and with doing this he creates a very welcoming, friendly and positive place to shop. They very kindly stayed on late to sort me out with 3 D plates. What I really like about their plates is the fact that the manufactures name at the bottom of the plate is not printed bold and is barely recognisable and therefore doesn’t distract from the look of the plates. They also shortened the plates for me and finished them perfectly.

If you don't know of this place.....where have you been! I tend to leave positive reviews but this is one of those where if i could give 6 stars i would. I don't change cars very often so i don't use TNPC and Ian very often but every time i do, it's always the best service with a smile and joke, but always totally professional. And that's over 20+ years. I turned up at 10.20 and was away by 11 and Ian had made up new plates, taken my old ones off, cleaned up the rear of the car, fixed screw holes at the front, and put the new plates on. Also i should mention a few years back i got t-shifts made up at TNOC for a 40th trip away for me and 6 school friends. We got a photo of us with those tee-shirts on from behind with our names on at a Madrid football match. That photo is still the best photo to encapsulate our friendship since our school days. It's hanging up in most of our houses. Those tee-shirts are bit tighter these days, but the printing still remains. So it's not just number plates! NB - TNPC is cash only.

I went to get plates done and even with Covid restrictions was able to get shaped plates made for my XK. However, when I got home I noticed a wee bit dyslexia on one, but after a WhatsApp to Ian we arranged for a replacement to be collected the following day. Service isn't about always being 100%, it's about making mistakes and fixing them amicably, quickly and professionally and this is my overall experience of Ian and the NPC. 100% recommended. Scott

Attended at The Number Plate Centre in order to get new plates and within 30 minutes the plates were made and fitted on to my car with no fuss. Service was fantastic and very friendly, even giving my kids stickers and key rings to keep them happy while we waited. The plates themselves look fantastic and the customer care was 2nd to none, even providing a wee list of appropriate agencies from DVLA, Insurance, Parking permits, to a few maybe not so obvious ones which could easily be forgotten and come back to bite you in the future. Arrived 10 minutes before closing and they still managed to make both my number plates AND fit them, accommodating my order even when it meant working pass closing time. The transparent/embossed branding at the bottom of the plates is discreet which was something I found a lot of places couldn’t provide (usually it’s in big/bold black writing). Polite and brilliant customer service, would highly recommend.

Can you find a cheaper plate online? Absolutely. But they won’t fit it for you, they won’t have it done in 10 minutes, they won’t check to make sure your other plates are attached properly and they DEFINITELY won’t match the level of friendly service. In person and local every time.

Really happy with my plates, and the service I received. One question though. A friend who is a traffic cop, tells me that your company name, post code, and BS number should be printed on the plates. If not, they are illegal .... is this correct because I can't see this info on my plates? ...... Found them thanks ... extra star

Top quality number plates available here in all shapes, sizes and materials, within legal limitations of course. I opted for the pressed metal plates and I am very happy with them. There is a great atmosphere in the shop and I even recieved some free mugs for my tea!

I was gonna order on-line, but decided to do it face-to face, great shop. I called ahead and the shop assistant was really friendly and chatty. When I arrived they got the reg details and went to work straight away, it took longer getting parked BTW. As my reg was 3x3, they happily trimmed off the excess. I'm glad I did it face-to-face and not on-line, as I normally do. Oh and it was only £30. I know the shop front looks a wee bit busy, but for choice, quality and speed....I'm well happy. So, sometimes its better to do it face to face and leave with a smile..

I can't stand a cluttered plate with the imposed dealership mention you get below the reg number when you buy a car, and the 'invisible' etching from the Number Plate Centre means you can get the reg on your plate and nothing else! Went to number plate center after recommendation from friend. I am very happy that I gave them my custom. I went into the shop knowing I wanted a premium 3D plate but was showed all of the plates to make sure that is what I wanted. I was asked how I would fit the plates, the traditional method of drilling was not recommended and instead was offered a pack of VERY VERY sticky double sided adhesive patches. I had no cash on person at time so these very kind people selflessly gave me the patches for free. I will be back and recommend to any friends and family. 5*

Excellent wee place, superb service, and well priced, got a short plate for the front on my car, only thing is payment options either Cash or Bank Transfer, no credit cards whatsoever, the bank machine charges £1.75 at the post office down the road, so I used my banking app as I didn't have any cash. So in that respect the Bank Transfer option is a bit strange particularly if you haven't used it before.
