I have been taking my cars here for years. This is a real local family run business that looks after it's customers. They are fair, communicate what needs to be done and why, and have always sorted my cars out. Whether that's repairs, servicing and MOT's or just a bit of advice. I highly recommend them.

My initial dealings with Purling where with Anita (apologies if a typo) who handled my wing mirror change amazingly. The turnaround by those who fitted it was quick and efficient and can't be faulted either. Would recommend highly.

I needed a garage close to my place of work. Phoned on Monday and was greeted with a very professional member of the team. Car booked in for the Friday for a full service. Was explained when I dropped my car off,that due to my previous service I wouldn't need replacement spark plugs (bill reduced already!) Picked car up 3 hours later, clear billing and honest list of things that need doing in the future. Not in anyway pushy or trying to con you. Will recommend this garage to my 450 work colleagues across Suffolk. More garages like this one please!!

Craig is my friend but apart from that mistake he runs the best small garage I know. I recommend him to friends and family because he knows his stuff and never misleads. This is a garage you can trust who'll always be upfront about the work needed and what it'll cost.

I have been meaning to write this review for a while, but have only just got round to it. Absolutely incredible service! A family run business with a personal touch. A* I took my car in late last year and although I eventually had to scrap it (through no fault of Purlings), I have been singing their praises ever since. My partner called beforehand and spoke to Anita, to get me a quote for some work that another garage (which I shall not name), advised NEEDED to happen. Anita advised that despite the word from this garage she wants to have a look at it see what the situation was. I then called a few days later and spoke to Anita also who remembered the call she had, had with my partner and advised me of what steps she would like to take to get my car fixed. A few days later I took it there and let them work their magic. Low and behold, the garage that shall not be named had falsely quoted for works that didn’t need to be done (a simple case of tightening a bolt) which Purlings did, and the original quote more than halved. As you can imagine I was greatly pleased with this result and okayed them to do the work. Unfortunately, upon further investigation further work needed to be completed to make the car drivable, which was not worth the time or money. A sad story but these things happen. Nonetheless, my faith in garages has been restored, thanks to Anita and her team, and made me feel relaxed and happy to go back when I finally have a car! Even if it is at the opposite side of town for me! During the whole duration of this ‘ordeal’, Anita was extremely understanding, helpful, just a delight to talk to. She explained the issues, the resolutions and advised of the best option. Thank you so much for A* service and taking the time to explain everything to me.
