Took a car with pearl pearl paint which had some previous spray done front and rear bumpers which didn't quite match. The man i spoke with was very reluctant to try and put it right full of excuses and ifs and buts so i went elsewhere not very confidence inspiring.

My car was involved in an accident in a car park a couple of months ago. I contacted Alisdair at Rackhams as they had been highly recommended to me. He helped me get a quote for the damage for the other driver as it was their fault. He also explained my options of how to get the repairs to my car repaired using an accident repair company who dealt with all the admin side of the incident. This was a process I had never been told about before and made the whole process extremely simple on my side. Rackhams were the only people I would consider to complete the repair work for me as I know they would always do a thorough job and ensure all the work is completed to the highest standard. I also asked them to complete some private work and re spray my bumper as there was some damage there too. There were able to sort this all for me while they had the car with no problems at all. They did not let me down with the standard of their work and I would highly recommend them to all my friends and family. The team are all extremely talented and highly skilled in what they do. The team on reception are also amazing and extremely friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for the whole team at Rackhams.

My car had a accident on the 7th November 2021 where my steering bar, suspension, alloy and tyer were all damaged. I was turned away by a garage due to not having the equipment and Rackhams where quick and accommodating to my car they didn't now was coming their way! They sorted me out a courtesy car immediately, were informative throughout the process, gave me advice that saved me money and done a high quality job on my car in reasonable time! Brilliant customer service, from the engineers and Sue at reception. Extremely helpful, clear and transparent quotes and honest on time frames. Best customer service I have received in Ipswich for a long time from any company. Engineers even took me to the garage to explain the issue and what they can do for me. Will be booking my car in next year to have the alloys brushed up before handing my car back, which they quoted for me already!

Andy and the team at Rackhams Auto Body Centre have recently had my VW Transporter in for a repair post accident in April. Rackhams auto body centre are a VW Approved repairer which was an obvious choice for me, and being local to where i live, it was a no brainer. Rackhams was originally recommended to be by a close friend, and im so glad that i chose them as my approved repairers. Andy has been in contact with me since the day he quoted for the insurance repair from the engineers report, he has advised me on all the relevant information i was required to know from the start of the process. He regularly kept contact with me to ensure i was aware of the timescales involved, especially with the delay on parts coming in through the COVID pandemic. Nothing has been too much in terms of help and support throughout the repair. The work that was undertaken was exceptional and the professionalism and skills show in the work of the repair. My van was washed inside and out on my arrival to collect it post repair and really made the whole process that bit more professional. I wouldn't trust anyone else with repairs like that, and im safe in the knowledge that the vehicle has been repaired to VW specification and standards with trusted and professional repairers. Finally i was due a Cambelt and Waterpump change at the same time as some of the work being undertaken, and was given a very respectable and reasonable price to with genuine VW parts again. The reception team have also always been welcoming and supportive of the phone calls, and forthcoming of any information that was required. Very professional service from an Independant business. Thank you Andy and the team, you absolutely deserve the status of professionals in your field.

I was referred to Alidstar and his team at Rackhams by Bury St Edmunds Audi over a year ago. I have a top of the range brand new Audi A1 Vorsprung edition, which I have always wanted to add my own personalisation and finishing touches to make the car stand out and make it more unique and personal to myself. This is where Alidstar and his incredible team comes in. It all starts from the minute you walk into Rackhams, you are greeted with friendly smiles and welcomes from the reception team, who are very efficient and perfessional from the start. With every modification and personalisation I have asked Alidstar and the team at Rackhams to carry out for me, Rackhams have always delivered and gone way, way, above and beyond, and delivered everything I have asked of them to achieve and carry out for me and even more which I could have ever asked of them. Rackhams truly have the very best skilled, talented, enthusiastic, incredible, with attention to detail, extremely high standards with all their team members when it comes to carrying out all the work I have asked them to do for me to my Audi A1. Especially with some of the modifications I have asked Rackhams to carry out, it certainly has got them to think right outside the box, to help me complete and achieve my vision I have always wanted to achieve with my Audi A1. I can not thank Rackhams enough for everything they have done for me. Rackhams are super talented at what they do, and they should receive more praise than they actally do, for what they do. They are all truly incredible.

We have been extremely well looked after from start to finish. The process was explained from the outset and we were kept regularly informed of the progress. We definitely came to the right people and we are so glad that we didn't just go along with our insurers recommended garage. They fought our corner with the insurance company to ensure that the repairs were as thorough as they could possibly be and it was evident that they all took a pride in what they do. The car has come back to us in pristine condition and we are extremely pleased with the result. I insisted on using Rackhams as a VW-Approved Repairer, despite my insurer trying to force me down the route of using their preferred repairer (who has terrible Google reviews), after a deer "attack" on my car just as the Covid19 shutdown was announced. We contacted Rackhams and they explained that the workshop was shut for the time-being but took all the necessary details and asked for photos and dealt with the insurer for us. As soon as they were open again, they got in touch and arranged a date for the car to go in and for me to have the use of a courtesy car. By the time I had got back home after dropping the car off, I had an email with a brief report of some other work that I might like to have done with details of the (small) additional fees for having this done at the same time. I knew the car was going to need to be with them for a couple of weeks or so, but they got in touch after around 10 days to let me know how it was going and with an estimate of when it was likely to be ready. I picked the car up this morning and am could not be more happy with the standard of the work and the quality of the service I've received from everyone at Rackhams throughout. After dealing with a fair number of vehicle repair shops over the years, both local and national/franchises (through my work, not my personal "adventures"!), I had low expectations but Rackhams have been really impressive and I would recommend them without hesitation.
