Excellent service on my husbands car. Very efficient and very reasonably priced. Would 100% use again. We are new to the area so we were hesitant to to use, but after reading reviews we gave these guys a go… and didn’t regret it.

SHORTER VERSION: I have lost confidence in this garage which has a new owner since I last used their services. They were very friendly and kind, BUT they don't have the necessary equipment to do a thorough diagnostic. Dissaponted. LONGER VERSION: Having used this garage previously and getting an excellent service. I did not hesitate to book my car in for its MOT. The staff were friendly and kind. A few days later a garage staff member kindly dropped my car to my house with the relevant documents. He told me he noticed there was an issue with the engine warning light, but they didn't have any equipment to do a diagnostic on the engine fuel flow. I was surprised to hear that, and said that in the past it had bern done by their garage. He explained that the garage was now under new ownership and the previous owner had taken his diagnotic equipment. Long story short my car had the minimum done to make it legally road-worthy, It is now barely driveable. it overheated after about 30 minutes of driving it first time after its MOT. I rang the garage up and explained my issue. The chap who worked on my car kindly offered to look at again if I booked it in. I decided not to go with his offer because they don't have all the equipment necessary to investigate and diagnose my car's problem. I am really disappointed because the issue with overheating was not picked up and the mechanic never told me when he called to say the car was ready that there was an issue with the engine warning light.

Just had some diagnostic work done on my car and also oil and filter change. Very pleased with the professionalism of this garage and will certainly be using again when the mot and new tyres are required! Well done Steve and his team!

Had a string of bad garage experiences locally, so was initially wary booking into an untried place. Shouldn't have been worried! Really impressed me with the job they've done, and very reasonably priced too. Will DEFINATELY use them again. If you are looking for a reliable honest garage, look no further!

I have been using the services at Silver Lane Garages at both the old site and the now modern site for a number of years. I can’t sing praises for Steve and his team enough, anymore than that the quality and service is second to none. They guys have been looking after my work van and wife’s car for the past couple of years now and I wouldn’t really go elsewhere. Considering I live in Halifax, the distance is no issue when I can always rely on the team to get me in at a convenient day and time that suits us both. Trustworthy is very hard to find nowadays when it comes to garages, but I can assure you that there is nothing to worry about at Silver Lane Garage... 😊

What a very helpful garage, called up for some service history on a vehicle and the person on the phone didn't hesitate to help out and provide what was needed despite sounding very busy in the background. Little touches like this make all the different a massive thumbs up from me.

Been using Silver Lane Garage for around 10 years now, taking multiple different cars to them for various pieces of work doing (big and small). Work has always been carried out professionally and efficiently. There has never been a single time I've felt that work has not been done with care or up to a certain standard, nor have I ever felt like I've paid more than I should have done for repairs or services. Any work that needs doing is explained prior to anything getting done. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Steve and his colleagues to friends and family. It is my #1 choice when needing any work doing and I don't see that changing any time soon.
