Been coming here for years as I live a journey away now, Called as I needed my motorcycle to have its mot done as of covid busy or lucky to get in my area, I was running late and tbh was not looking good for myself but all being well excellent attitude and dealt with my mot straight away nice1.

Went in on my way to work because my car started making a weird noise. Felt a bit nervous being a woman on my own going into a garage, but I was pleasantly surprised. Was greeted by a guy called Scott when I got there, he was really helpful and friendly. My car was looked at really quickly so not much waiting around in the cold, I was given a price and told to take it back the next day. Went back with my partner to have the work done and Scott sorted it all out for us with no fuss. Won’t be going anywhere else from now on and have been recommending them to all my friends and family. I don’t normally write reviews but I was so impressed with the service so thought I’d share.

Gray’s Tyre Service was recommended to me by Byron at Rivets and Coats (also great affordable service). Went to replace a flat tyre on my CRV but left with two new tyres (the tread was very low on another) and a properly mended puncture all for only £135! Very nice gentleman (John, I think his name was) did the work. He was so thorough and so kindly informative every step of the way (especially liked seeing how to properly balance a tyre). I’m a bit of a perfectionist and I was pleased to see every detail of what he did was important to him. Definitely will return!

Grays just managed to fix my exhaust rather than replace the whole rear section which saved me £850 3 other garages said it couldn't be done but they managed to and it only took an hour. It's good to see the world still has some skilled people out there. Would highly recommend.

Really surprised to read some of the negative comments on here as my two experiences with Grays have been absolutely flawless!!! The first time I went my car had a flat tyre so bad that I had to get it towed to Gray's. Although I never gave them a heads up that I'd be coming with a tow truck, as soon as it pulled into the garage (I was behind in another car) I could see a mechanic come running over and told the driver to unload it into an empty bay and literally started working on it within SECONDS! Price was good too.... Second time I had a problem with my exhaust and again went to Grays without booking an appointment. As soon as I got out of my car I was approached by a mechanic and told him what was wrong. He asked me to drive my car onto the ramp and looked at it. He told me a price which I was happy to pay and told me it would take an hour or so. I left my car and got home, got a call an hour later to tell me that my car was ready. Went back and said to the guy I was too nervous to reverse it off the ramp which he did for me and I went home a happy customer. Can't recommend them enough!!!

Been using Grays for couple of years. They seem a bit rough and ready but consistent, good value for money whenever I ha e compared prices with other local garages and actually quality service around. Don't normally review but thought I should after going back time and time again for car stuff!

very knowledgable staff, helped me find a solution when my catalytic converter was stolen, (1day before the MOT expired )they were able to supply and fit a replacement which would not simply be stolen again and was cost effective, and do a fresh MOT. Would definitely recommend them

I'm in the Trade and these guys take on things my unit cannot do. I pay the same as everyone else (Not Trade Rates) and i find them reasonable and fast...... No appointments usually needed and open on Sundays too!! Awesome!!

Went here with a puncture, got the tyre changed in under 20 minutes. The staff were good, knowledgeable and friendly people. Also been to the car wash here which is really good too. The car spotless inside and out for a tenner.

Usually fast and always reliable service. Friendly and knowledgeable group of mechanics that have been around for so long. Get most car problems fixed here and MOT. Has a cheap hot drinks machine inside while you wait as well as a small cafe on the court.

The staff here were really kind and helpful. They replaced my back tyres for me quickly and professionally. Furthermore, they went the extra mile and offered to help take a look at my gear box as there was some abnormal noises coming from it. Absolutely delighted, well done!

These guys came off recommendation of a family member. I went to see them because I believed a different garage deliberately failed my MOT to try and milk money from me for unneeded repairs and part replacement. I've been using this place since I passed my driving test in '86! Best prices, and will price match on tyres and batteries. Great deal on MOTs if done on weekdays, I've used them for tyre repairs, aircon recharges, no job too small and the rates are extremely reasonable.

Used Gray's to replace a leaking front exhaust pipe, the guys were really professional and the service was brilliant!! The cost was within the budget. All in all an excellent experience.

I tried to go somewhere else, but realised Grays are as good as it gets. No messing about here. Brought my Audi A4 in 2.30 pm. All done by 5.30 pm same day. Not even booked in! Super efficient service with a quick smile. I say 'quick' as they're always so busy. Went for MOT and annual service. Reasonable prices too. Even changed a couple of bulbs for free and washed my car! Can't say fairer than that.

I would give it 5 Stars, but it come down to the fact that they can't control their emotions, very unprofessional and because of this the think its ok to over charge. n very rude manager unfortunately unless caught in a good mood. (Very rare) despite that I do mostly go their because the team work the have produces a high quality work and solves most problems for a reasonable time and cost. Some are cheeky and break bolts then order it in and make you pay for it. Other then that its a good place to go as their car knowledge is massive and the links they got are strong.

I've got a few jobs done on my car here before, and every time they got the job done well. If you come in on a Saturday first thing, you can usually get in-and-out pretty quickly. They do upsell you things such as clearing ECU check engine light for £20, I don't think it should be charged considering it's a 30 seconds OBD2 job (or even DIY unplugging car battery). But otherwise I'd trust them with my car repairs.

For reviewer M S. Get the facts right before you leave a review you were told £80 plus vat for oil & filter change which is £96 you were not told £100 plus vat. Your car is a Range Rover & you tried to barter the price down and because you couldn’t as this is not a market but a garage you got upset & wrote a poor review which was not accurate. Buy a Fiesta if you are going to cry about £96 for an oil & filter change it is 2018 not 1765. This is a good garage trading fo 50 years.
