I have a 21 year old Mercedes A class. When my fan belt and tensioner failed badly I tried several garages who said that they would not entertain fixing such an old Mercedes, however the last one recommended I try H&C Motors. Richard booked me in as soon as possible and the car was fixed as soon as they could obtain original spares from Mercedes. Having used original parts I have a 2 year guarantee from Mercedes as a bonus. This is the first time I have enjoyed paying a bill for a Mercedes quality repair without the Mercedes pricing.

Where do l start, l have been using H & C for some time now and always found them to be very proactive helpful knowledgeable providing a first class service at very reasonable rates. This time they have exceeded all my expectations after returning from a business trip my water pump packed up. Due to leave on another trip in 2 days time and they being totally booked up with work they said they would try. So they arrange for the fitters to work late and come in early the next day. Completed the job allowing me to travel. I can only recommend that everyone uses H&C motors for anything they need doing on their cars, there is no where else you will get the kind of service they provide and also at very reasonable rates. H & C Motors have looked at my car previously, and I went back to them for an issue that I had been quoted a higher price on elsewhere. Due to the extensive BMW experience the garage has, they were able to salvage some of the parts on my car and save me money. They have been really helpful - Gary was happy to have a conversation about my options and explained what they could do. They were also flexible with when I collected the car, due to some snowy conditions. Overall I'm really happy with the service I've received, I felt like the car was in safe hands. They also cleaned my car key before returning it, and plastic wrapped the touch points so it's all Covid secure. 10/10 would recommend.

Brilliant customer service from start to finish. Collected my vehicle today (Monday) after dropping it off on the Friday before for a timing chain replacement along with all the supporting components. I was supplied with a courtesy car for the weekend which was well kept both cosmetically and mechanically. Whilst the cost of my repair was expensive (which is expected with the the amount of work done) it was very good value for money in return for peace of mind motoring for the many miles ahead on a daily basis. Will be using again whenever needed 👍

My BMW 520D had a fault with the auto gearbox, took it into H & C on Monday who diagnosed the problem and said that they recommended a specialist transmission company on the Medway City Estate as a BMW recon box would cost about £6k. Gary arranged for the car to be recovered to Automatix who repaired the box within 2 days for a fraction of the BMW option. Have used H&C for my servicing & repairs for a couple of years now after a friend recommended them to me. Would not consider going elsewhere, extremely professional, fair pricing, friendly staff. Had brake fluid change and annual inspection completed on my F30 BMW. Brilliant knowledgeable staff, with the cost a fraction of what an AD tried to charge me. Don’t be pressurised into taking your car into an AD to comply with warranty requirements. H&C are what every BMW driver needs. An honest, reliable, well priced and highly professional garage to maintain BMW cars to the highest standards. I will be using H&C for all my future BMW needs.

I would 100% recommend this garage! I took my car in for diagnostics on Thursday afternoon (I only called to book in Thursday lunchtime). I received a call that evening, Gary confirmed the issue and the part that was needed, broke down the costs for me and got the part ordered straight away. The part was replaced less than 24 hours later (They also kindly changed the battery in my key for me as this was also showing on the dash - they didn’t need to do this so it was greatly appreciated!) So glad my son-in law introduced me to H&C Motors. Had MOT and service booked for 3rd Sept (service light on), plus they had identified probable need for rear anti-roll bushes to be changed after I had informed them of 'clumping noise' in boot whilst driving. When I got there they checked service record and advise all was ok and only needed an MOT. 'D'? bushes were changed, and car now drives like new. Excellent trustworthy service and very reasonable rates (more than half at least than BMW main garage.). I will definitely use again.

Can’t recommend this place highly enough! In a world full of faceless, disingenuous main dealers, H&C stand out not just for their friendly, genuine approach to their customers, but for their expertise and professionalism. Having only ever taken my cars to Mercedes dealerships when they needed servicing, I was slightly apprehensive, I needn’t have been. From start to finish H&C really looked after me and my Merc, and I’m quite precious about my cars (excessively so if you ask the Mrs). After the dreaded (and sadly common) Timing Chain failure on my wife's BMW X1, they rebuilt the engine, with Gary providing an honest appraisal of the issue and the cost to repair (which was also a very fair price compared to other 'BMW Specialists'), The car is now running well... Not got a BMW but started using H&C Motors due to a high recommendation from a friend. I have found them to be competent and trustworthy. The only down side would be that it's difficult to get your car booked in quickly but I can only put that down to how popular the garage is. I would also say that when the guys are on reception their customer service skills could do with a little polishing but that is obviously not their strong point but being excellent mechanics make up for this minor downfall.

I have only had excellent service at H & C for my two BMWs over the last four years. Gary and Steve are prepared to give commonsense comments over the phone when I have car problems in France where BMW agents will not comment for fear of being wrong. H & C hourly rates are half those of BMW main agents and yet they do repairs in a minimum of time.To date, their diagnoses have been spot-on, backed by their years of experience. I see several negative reviews here, I can only say that they do not square with my experience, I do wonder if they are talking of the same Company. As a pensioner I could not afford to run my two BMWs without the economic, no-nonsense approach of H & C.
