Been shopping around Walkdern garages and came across GS R53 Specialists Mini Repair The owner has Quote me a reasonable price including part that i really can't compare with other garages value for money, There turn around time was Quick. I Highly recommend GS R53 Mini Specialists. Very Friendly. Keeps you upto date.

Just had my R53 Cooper S in at GS R53 for some preventative engine maintenance including clutch, timing chain, super charger service, engine service etc. The work was carried out as agreed for the very reasonable quoted price. Car was ready on time but what I didn't bank on was the level of workmanship. The car now drives amazing and sounds even better. No clips broken, bolts rounded off etc that you normally get with garages. Gareth the owner must truly love these Mini's. During the time my Mini spent with GS R53 I received regular updates, photos of progress and even a video when she was back up and running again. I will now not let anyone else work on my Mini.

Gareth and Chris are the best of the best when it comes to these brilliant little cars. I’ve been in on numerous occasions and they have always gone above and beyond to do what needs to be done and all for a really fair price. These guys did a supercharger service for me among a few other things, totally transformed the car and it's now running sweet as a nut! Fair prices, super knowledgeable and passionate about what they do! if you have an R53 it's really worth the journey (I travelled 100 mile round trip!)

I’ve used Gareth for my R53 for a while. What he doesn’t know about a Mini R53 isn’t worth knowing about. He always give advice on the forums, prices are very reasonable and I’ve learnt a lot about my car. He has always given good advice On what parts are best and best value. If you haven’t had a supercharger service get it done. A good mechanic is hard to find and I’m glad I have. I class Gareth as a friend and an genuine reliable guy, which is rare these days.

I can't describe how much you need to go to go here if you own a R53 Mini. Excellent service and there isn't any question the owner can't answer about minis. Great lads would 1000% recommend paying a visit. The price of work is reasonably priced as the mechanics are very capable of fixing any issue you may have as fast as possible to ensure the best repair price for you. Just come back from having a tensioner and a belt change and the work carried out was outstanding, the price changed due to the parts being more expensive and they still charged me what they said to honor the price, he also chucked in a new expansion tank cap and a rear wiper for free as I needed them and they also connected some loose pipes that hadn't been fitted correct by an other mechanic. All round amazing workshop if you own an R53 Mini.

Gareth at GS R53 MINI Specialists came highly recommended through a Facebook group I joined when I bought a low mileage 2002 Cooper S. I left my car with him to have the supercharger serviced and to have it thoroughly checked over with any service work carried out on the car. It did mean a round trip from Glasgow to Manchester for me but it was definitely worth the time and the hassle. Gareth is hugely passionate about MINI's and I was impressed by his in depth knowledge and knew both myself and my car were in safe hands. I'd highly recommend getting in touch with Gareth if you are looking to have any work carried out on your MINI.

Used GS R53 to service my supercharger, change to a reduced pulley, suspension top mounts and a few other things. Service was impeccable with updates and pictures throughout. Definatley knows his stuff, would definatly recommend and will be using him myself in the future.

Highly recommend!!!! I had an oil leak and I have asked the mechanic if he could have a look and he spotted the problem straight away. He gave me a quote and the next day may car was sorted in a couple of hours. My r56 is running perfectly now, I couldn’t be happier with the service.

By far the best place to take your mini. No one else will touch my car bar Gareth. Not only is he very professional he’s a really nice guy as well. First time dealing with GSR53 Mini and left extremely impressed. The coolant issues were dealt with along with the supercharger service. An engine mount was also seen to be defective and duly replaced after calling me to explain the problem. Very professional and won't be my last visit despite being a 140 mile round trip.
