G. M. G.Booking a specific time slot is useless , when droping off your car they tell you to wait 3-4 hour to just replace a tyre because they have other cars before you.
Which is the point of booking a time slot then?
Previous year went to a different Halford garage and the same happened so look like is the same in every Halford garage.
However , they do a good work , if they fix the issue of the time slots it would be a 5 star garage !!!
L. S.MOT carried out this time, all good. Managed to squeeze me in due to a cancellation as needed MOT like yesterday!. I have previously used this garage for MOT, service, tyres, repairs, and find them reasonable cost, never any complaints about the standard of work - do a good job, and very professional.

l. b.I was running around like a headless chicken trying to get myself organised to drive up to the Lakes for my first holiday in forever with the family when the hubby asks "Is everything up to date with the car" to my horror, our MOT expired three weeks ago!! Mike at Halfords was able to squeeze me in the following morning, meaning we'll be setting off at 11am - perfect for my babies nap! Regrettably I got a call to say the tyre needed replaced and it would be done before close of play... already really grateful getting squeezed in, I didn't want to put anyone under pressure, I asked for a rough time so I could work round my kids naps, and they called me back at 1pm to say the car was ready!! Cannot thank the team enough for their consideration, I will definitely be using again in future, top customer service! Thank you so much.
s.I phoned to book my car in for MOT, the person on the phone (I can’t remember his name) manage to squeeze me in on 31st rather then the 1st. Drop my car off Mike the mechanic at the reception at the time took my car in, also helped me with handing my car back with a professional and polite manner.

t.I feared my brakes were utterly worn due to a grinding noise. I work before they open but the manager was very kind and allowed me to drop my car off the evening before my appointment.
Luckily my brakes were fine and it was the heat shield rubbing that was causing the noise. I was not charged for them to pin it back into place. I also got my front tyres changed. Fantastic service and has given me peace of mind.

S. S.The guys are very good and attentive and fit you in for appointments quite quickly. They are very professional and honest.
The downside is that it’s a small garage so they can’t complete everything, if the car has to sit on a ramp for quite a while they wouldn’t be able to do it, same for most engine jobs.
MOT is done very quickly and they are through with explaining what’s wrong with the car and provide you with quotes. Some things are quite expensive though, so I would recommend getting a quite from a smaller garage first- I paid £400 to change my headlights.

A. C.As far as a Halfords garage can go I think this is a pretty good one. I've used thiscs few times for service and MOT and I've never had any issues. The staff always answer the phone, they're always polite and helpful.
All my work has always been carried out on time and never had to return after.

Staff are always friendly, and generally issues are resolved on the same day, and if not I have been given a clear timeframe of when I can expect the issue to be resolved - for example, when a specific tyre will arrive so they could fit it on my car.

D.Following the positive experience that my partner had, and her being able to easily acquire an appointment during peak season, I decided to choose Halfords Altrincham for my vehicle's service.
I purchased a major service, a thorough 76-point service including cabin filter and brake fluid replacement, however, this does not include fuel filter replacement (which another competitor offers, however, this service isn't as thorough).
As I suspected, my vehicle required a lot of work, which amounted to a price outside of my budget. I made calls to a competitor garage to compare prices, and Halfords had offered the cheaper price, so I decided to accept the 0% payment plan that was offered, and the work was completed that day.
I was pleased with the service offered and work carried out on my vehicle, and I would highly recommend this garage.

W.Staff always super friendly, however, 1 star knocked off as I came for a service and they said my tyre needs replacing, which wasn't mentioned in my MOT elsewhere 2 weeks previous, so now having to seek a 3rd opinion. Not sure who was correct, but I feel like Halfords are encouraged to "add value" to each sale.
J.Always go here for my MOT and never had an issue with the service. Fair and honest, only once has one of my cars failed its MOT here and that was a large hole in the sill of the car, i fixed and they retested for me the next day for free. Great service.

I was a paid for a Trademan a man £35 for he's services .am not a rich man but you get what you pay four .because of the distance and avin my young son each weekend ..I gave the place .Gavin time lookin on line reviews as usual all had 5 stars.so havein been in the shop in centre.all I did was 2 pic 4 men who look like they had pay the best the and got a perfect cut .anyboby can use slippers I did myself. When my son needed a trim .

Each 1 say the same place . Now having to walk back to pick my son from his lesson.i pass 3 barbers and 1 hairdresser. Each one was dead .weird for a Saturday.strange.so takin s advice from to the treadest cut of a 30min wait...toot to my map Google instantly so me the way didn't use the car 5 min to walk from the centre. The place itself was smart busy lot of friendly banter and there was 5 shears.ont the floor and there were 2 up stairs .great .my consent at first were seen how busy they were

I have been to so called barbers and pay £10 because I need to look sharp place were only been there for work .never had a real goog cut..this stylist. Has give my a new style which has become a talking point of my friends and clients. Top job.
£5 tip.great job great place .1 neg now I've having been four time.hes a very nice man and does a great job .he could easily work in city centre and charge £50 that what people pay .but a man SHOULD remember a client. W.Originally, I went to Kwik Fit, because it’s right by my flat... but their customer service and communication was awful... you’d be ok with it if English was difficult for them... but they were all native Mancs lads... just horrendous at dealing with you. Also, they’d miss-diagnosed a fault with my wheel.
The guys at Halfords were awesome the last 3 times, in 6 weeks, that I’ve been. Very professional, really well spoken, and seem to be far better at communicating, knowing what exactly was wrong with my car. Cannot fault the guys at all. And the difference between the two brands is like night & day.
Definitely got a customer for life (or at least as long as I’m in Manchester)

P.I have been going to halfords in northerden for years now they are very polite always professional and I will say they have always looked after my car when works being done I always have a mot and a full service together I would definitely recommend I will say as well if your bill is high and you can’t afford all at once you can spread the cost through halfords which is a good thing for me and that gives me confidence that I still have a car to get about

Halfords’s colleague explained they would try and repair my valve, if not then order replacement, they did repair and refit. Saving me additional cost. MOT carried out efficiently and informed when completed. Great service again. That’s why I continue to use and recommend this branch. Well done!!
