Peter & the crew have looked after our Demo Focus ST250 since the day we got it, installing all performance parts, brakes etc including doing a complete fully forged engine build in it, advising us on the best parts to meet our requirements. Fitted the huge brakes all round which was a massive headache but they sorted it all. Cannot fault their work or advice - recommend them to everyone who requires their services.

My car Peugeot 2008 GT line had loads of issues 1. Adblue system - emissions control fault 2. Fuel injector needed replacing 3. Bottom ball joint needed replacing 4. Front wheel shock absorber faulty 5. Rear disks and disk pads worn out. Car torque were just amazing and fixed everything in couple of days at pretty much decent price. They tested everything before handing over my car, so far everything has been good. I cannot thank Car Torque enough and the customer service was absolute top class. Thank you again Car Torque and will definitely come back again for regular service.

I went up to Car Torque North East on Friday just gone to get a module calibration on my Ford Focus ST. Got to the garage and instantly welcomed by the staff members on arrival. Peter (the owner) came out to me & very professionally explained the process of what he’s doing and how he is going to do it on my car. I’ve used this garage a few times now and had no complaints whatsoever. I’ve a standard Vw golf gti 2017 which has been remapped to 294bhp which is awesome. I’ve also had the clutch and flywheel upgraded to an RTS twin friction clutch to cope with the extra bhp and torque and this has not affected the drivability at all. Finally I’ve just had the water pump changed which is a common fault on these cars. I got a few quotes from good independents but the quote from car torque was £200 cheaper. Ben at reception is spot on dealing with any queries and I don’t think I’ll be using any other garages as these lads now know my car.😀😀

Fixed major issues with my 2014 BMW 3 series DPF & EGR valve. Power was non exisitant and fuel consumption had became terrible. Had all work carried out and a re-map and my car feels brand new. Saved me a fortune with their knowledge of options to sort the job out, where as other garages price you jobs based on main dealers looking for the most money and certainly not the best solutions for your vehicle . Use my car for working away from home and getting almost double out of a full tank of fuel compared to how bad it had got before I went to these lads. Just replaced my wife's focus st will an rs focus which ben and Peter did a lot work on, my wife took the rs looking for some upgrades, rs has had some work done already, to my surprise everything my wife wanted to be done Peter and ben advised against, they lose an opportunity to make quite a bit from us if they simply agreed with want my wife wanted however they advice was amazing, lost a sale but gained a customer for life, But Peter didn’t mention new rear lights so will be going back to discuss true gentleman and trustworthy business not putting profits ahead of customer care well done lads Had my wife’s st back for more work, again the service communication second to none, new Milltek exhaust and low line Maxton splitters fit. My wife loves it. Order more upgrades today whilst picking the car up, Ben and Peter and the team are something else, considering they are young lads, the business maturity is very impressive. The lads were great went to them after 3 years of intermittent fault on astra GTC, been to main dealerships and smaller garages to no avail. Throttle pedal fault meant garages kept on changing accelerator pedal at £200 a pop glow plugs at £200 a pop and a new ECU under warranty. Took it to car torque the next day got the car back remapped and fault found, simple wiring fault they said however 4 other garages and 3 years of fault finding nobody found such a little thing as a wire issue. I've had the car back a month now before writing review. No issues what so ever and the lads were great even checking up to see if the fault was fixed. Truly a garage that cares and not just another number. Would recommend to anyone.

Just had timing belt and water pump done at car torque customer service was brilliant. Taking the car here in the past with a boost problem, peter and the team quickly diagnosed a faulty actuator and incorrectly fitted recirculation valve. Really happy with the advice from Ben on my options regarding new sports exhaust system for my AMG A45s. New EU regs mean a weak sound from even the sportiest back ends. Very courteous service from this company, was booked in and work carried out on time, really pleased. They don’t normally repair large vans but I was working around the corner and thought I’d pop in and from the minute I walked in they filled me with confidence. My second (belated) review for these lads (other one is on Facebook about a Sprinter they did for me but Facebook seems to only allow one review per business). I took my Iveco Daily 35S18 3.0 in for a remap. There's not many of this particular model about so Peter took a bit of time to do his homework before he took it in, something I appreciate. Once again I am really very happy with the result. Loads of added power and the bonus of marginally better mpg. My local mechanic Scott had a drive of it not long after I'd had the remap done and he was amazed at how torquey it is now - he didn't know of Car Torque NE previously but has since, on my recommendation, took two of his own motors in to them for remaps! He's a very good mechanic himself so that's quite an endorsement. Like a lot of other reviewers I also must mention the standard of their customer service - friendly, relaxed, professional and straight with you. I'll be back next time I change vans.

I decided to book my VW Passat 2.0tdi DSG in for a stage 1 ECU and DSG remap, based on all of the good reviews on Google and Facebook and I'm glad I did. Peter and all of the lads were absolutely spot on and I couldn't recommend them enough. They all seem really knowledgeable and its clear they are genuinely interested in you as a customer. The car was running 143bhp and 318nm before the remap, its now running 192bhp with 374nm. It's transformed the car, especially with the DSG remap which has made gear changes noticeably quicker. The 'manual mode' is actually manual now which is nice. Overall I'd 100% recommend this place to anyone looking to have their car remapped.

Had milltek active exhaust supplied and fitted on my 2017 Audi Q7, the exhaust sounds unreal and is fully controlled via milltek app that they kindly installed on my phone and gave me a full demonstration how to work the app , Could not recommend enough there customer service & workmanship was second to non. I toom my mk3 rs focus to car torque as i had changed the front seats but this put the airbag light on and peter new straight away how to fix this unlike any other garage id spoke to about the problem. Had a Milltek GPF Cat back fitted to my mk8 Fiesta ST. Very pleased with the result. Has changed how the car sound, way better! Would recommend using this garage. Friendly, honest and professional. I did have one small issue, The engine management light came on after I got home from fitting. But took It back and was sorted out promptly and professionally. It was just something minor. I was impressed, as they were busy at the time but managed to get me in. Saving me having to take time off. Recently brought my stage 1 mk7 golf 2.0 GT TDI in for DSG tune and Dyno run. After proving on the dyno that the car wasnt making the figures that it should have been from previous “generic” tune, I opted for a fresh ecu tune. Had my Tourneo transformed from a sluggish bus into a pleasure to drive vehicle with a smile as big as you can get. I wasn't after top speed as it's pointless in a vehicle of this size but I needed more low down torque as this van used to be a nightmare going uphill with 5 adults in. Where I live there is a long drawn out incline which used to flatten my Tourneo but after Peter had worked his magic I can fly up this hill in 4th gear or even 5th whereas before I would have been struggling to go up in 3rd. The guys, Peter and Ben, were surprised at the miles on my van 240K but what a difference this has made to the whole driving experience ...... thank you Guys it was a pleasure doing business. Couldn't recommend this company any higher!!

I was having trouble with my 63 plate Astra with just under 25,000 miles on. Took it to Evans halshaw in Gateshead where I bought the car, what a huge mistake that was. I'll tell the short story. Basically they said my DPF had collapsed inside and would need replaced. It would cost £2100 to do the work, with the car being so young and with so little miles on Vauxhall would pay 70% of the bill. This left me to pay £600. So I wanted a second opinion as I didn't believe that's what was wrong with the car. I rang and spoke to Peter at car torque north east (the dpf doctor) that was the best thing I could of done. I told him what was wrong and what Evans halshaw had said. He thought he could fix the car, so after talking to Peter I took my car over to see him. Peter was super polite was very informative and gave me a couple of options that he thought would fix my car. The first option was to clear the DPF, Peter carried out a diagnostic on my car and found out that a sensor was faulty (Evans halshaw didn't know this was wrong with the car) Peter cleaned the DPF changed the sensor and even changed my air filter. Peter only charged me for the DPF clean, for what he payed for the sensor and didn't charge me a penny for changing the air filter. This cost me £290. Evans halshaw the thieving lying well I'll not say what I really what to call them, wanted to charge me £2100 for things that weren't wrong with my car. My car is fixed and it cost me £290, I can't recommend car torque north east enough, very professional polite and informative thanks again Peter.

Top quality workmanship and completely honest & professional, had my 530d here to get the remap that was installed before I bought car removed and a better tune put on as it was chucking loads of black smoke out, Peter read the map on it found the issues with it, put it back to stock road tested it and checked all the smoke had cleared and it had but when car was moved found oil on the floor so he had the underside cleaned off and checked for the leak, put it on dyno and tuned it up and its a completely different car to drive now that the map has been redone cant recommend enough for the service I received and the price for the work

Audi TT stage 1 map done today by Peter/ Lads, 40bhp and 80nm increase, the torque increase being very noticeable, prior to map car had smooth somewhat slower acceleration and coming from a higher torque diesel to this petrol i noticed a lack of that punch in acceleration when you need it to get round cautious Doris in her Micra going up a slip road, dont get me wrong the TT was no slouch at stock, but now it has a touch of radgee about it, got that velocity that throws you back in your seat a bit, if your after a remap done, these lads will deliver a good service and reasonable rates, road tests done with data collected both before and after ensuring all is well, second visit with 2 different cars im sure when i change again ill be back...highly recommended if you have a need...a need for speed..

A very honest garage, i gave them a description of a fault with my sons car which turms out to be a common issue with that model they gave me a quote to repair it which was similar to other quotes from garages in the area,when we dropped the car off for the repair tourqe garage found it was not that issue but a much cheaper fix, they did the that repair and charged us a fraction of what the original quote was, i don't know how many garages would do this but i know ive found a honest one with tourqe who will be getting my business from now on thanks guy's
