Polite and incredibly helpful, they had to remove the entire light cluster on my van to change the indicator bulb and did so straight away and made no charge for fitting. Super service these guys are the most helpful I’ve encountered.

Rang your Elswick branch on Saturday to arrange a MOT. The worker I spoke to on the phone and the worker I spoke to upon collection (Wednesday around 4pm) was extremely well mannered and polite. I had rang a number of garages on Saturday and felt your staff were the most professional and helpful and as a young woman who doesn’t know much about cars, your staff members assisted me greatly. The car needed quite abit of work and I was further pleased to hear that a payment plan could be arranged and to be honest, I thought it was going to to cost a lot more.

Easy service, just dropped the car off and got a call a couple of hours later to pick up. I got a full service and MOT at this garage. They gave me a report on the vehicle health at the end and an invoice on work they recommend having done. Only criticism is that the pricing for the work to be done was quite costly in comparison to other garages but the mechanic was very helpful and knowledgable :)

Visited for an MOT and interim service. Failed MOT due to one faulty wiper and light alignment, They offered a new wiper £30.00 ( a joke I bought a set of two for £12.00 and fitted myself in less than 5 mins)they also wanted to charge £30.00 for light alignment, I asked why so expensive and told the car had to go back on to the ramp ( despite it having already been on ramps both for MOT and service, a real rip off. Anyway booked my car in at another garage for MOT who say they won’t charge for light alignment as only takes minutes to put right. They also suggested I need replacement coolant £39.99 couldn’t believe it. 1 have only done 11000 miles, coolant replace at 60000. 2. Cost is a joke, can buy coolant by the bucket full for less than £10.00 Clearly Halfords looking for extra sales which I understand but I think when visiting then it’s “ buyer beware”

Very professional and very friendly team. They knew what they were doing, fixed my car and whilst the news wasn't what I wanted to hear, they told me in a human manner, not just saying "This needs doing". My car went in for it's MOT but needed a new seat belt so whilst it cost more, they got me booked in the next day and fixed it straight away. Extremely efficient and friendly staff, would recommend definitely.

First time customer, my branch is George Street Newcastle and must say I've found someone (Andy) who is more of a perfectionist than I am. He diagnosed a fault on our car that I knew immediately what had caused it, the work he did on our car was spot on and it is driving better now than it has for years! Arrived at the Halfords auto centre a hour early having gave myself plenty of time due to adverse weather conditions. On arrival I went to reception and handed in my keys. The gentleman in reception promised, despite a staff shortage because of the snow and ice, that my car tyre would be replaced at the allotted time. Isn’t in a coffee shop across the road and watched my car being driven out onto the auto centre forecourt an hour before I was expecting to pick it up. I went back reception and was told that my car was ready. Excellent service on a day when the weather was very bad. Well done Halfords auto centre Newcastle!

Cheaper for servicing than a main dealer, though check out a local garage to see if they can give you a better price. Was recently told that a headlight which had cracked at the rear due to the bulb fitting being inserted incorrectly would cost £160 to fix, and that the front wing would need to be removed in the process. As it turned out, not only was this incorrect but a receipt later came to light showing that Halfords had replaced the headlight themselves only 18 months previously.

Halfords on Scotswoofs road are lovely! I went in by myself anxious about my car failing it’s MOT. I was seen very quickly and the staff were very kind in explaining what needed doing, they were not pushy in anyway and were accommodating to me (who knows nothing about cars).

I took my car in for an mot to which I was sure would pass with advisories, was I wrong, from the moment I stepped in the reception the guys were lovely, my autistic son needed the toilet and the gentleman kindly let him use the staff toilet, we left the car was told to come back in an hr so we went for lunch, my phone rang and to my dismay the car failed big time upon being told the bill amount I couldn’t believe it as a single parent with two special needs kids I needed my car but wasn’t in a position to pay the amount in full, with the gentleman knowing this the first thing he done was offer a payment plan which more suited my financial status, we went back to the mot centre, he ordered the parts and said the work will be done by 5 today I was shocked and relieved as we depend on the car a lot, my experience wasn’t the best in regards to my bank balance ha ha but the staff were great and I now have a safe car for my kids to drive in.
