I cannot recommend these guys enough. My R8 was off the road for a total of 4 months and the majority of that time it sat on their ramps. I ended up in a huge legal battle with the dealership and Swift were there providing report after report to the people who needed it to prove the issues in the car. They were non stop supportive and helpful and Tom in particular took a ton of weight on his shoulders with emails and phone calls from many different people. The first repair they did fixed the car for a fraction of the price that I was quoted elsewhere and they only use genuine parts from the same supplier as Audi themselves. 5* isn’t enough. I’ve not only found an amazing garage, I’ve made friends here and that is more than you could ever ask when it comes to a garage. Thank you so much Tom and the team.

Had my Black Edition A1 in to have the water pump and belts replaced and repaired. Turbo charger, supercharger to contend with undertaking this job....its a proper stinker. Work done to a fantastic standard and my car feels brand new, guys were extremely knowledgeable and Helpful. Will be back....hopefully not to soon. All the Best Guys for 2022 🥳

Another 5* review from us. We have been taking our VW car around garages in the the Gosforth area for three years including a Volkswagen dealer in Sunderland three years ago about this issue and Swift Motor Engineering diagnosed the issue and fixed the problem within two days. As well as being amazing mechanics they are also very polite and listen to everything you say. Car is running like a dream! Thank you so much and just wish we had come across the garage earlier. Won’t take my car anywhere else now.

Booked in for Service, MOT, and Timing Belt Replacement. Reception was professional, informative and friendly. Car was returned to me as agreed and all the work was done to the highest standard. A full breakdown of the price was given to me on collection and the next necessary service was outlined to me for future reference. My car drives like new and I am extremely pleased with everything about my experience at Swift, not to mention the price charged was a lot less than the VW main dealerships. All VW parts were used on my car and Swift had access to all information issued by the Volkswagen organisation regarding updates and recalls. You can’t go wrong dealing with this garage.

Went to Swift Motor Engineering with an intermittent electrical fault on my VW Scirocco. Kept fully informed of work progress whilst they worked on my car. Staff were professional helpful and informative. Fault was fully investigated and returned in full working order , also asked to return the car after 2 weeks so that the diagnostics could be rechecked for any recurring faults free of charge ! Excellent customer care which is hard to find these days. Very happy with the cost of the service that I received for the work done less than £75 Would highly recommend Swift Motor Engineering

Had my Touareg in with Swift with an oil leak which i have had for a while with the staff great as expected. Diagnosed the the problem replacing the tandem pump and the throttle valve which were both leaking. I have all my work done here as the staff are so knowledgeable and friendly, they really know what they are doing and very approachable. Would not trust or take my car to anybody else. They explained everything they had done and any recommendations, but also you can speak with them about stuff and they listen, don't just take payment then Bye, they have time for you as i often ask them about preventative maintenance etc. I know the bill would have been considerably higher at a VW dealer. Been taking my car to this garage for years now and would highly recommend them. Thanks

On holiday, 300 miles from my usual garage. Needed the brakes looking at in my A6. Looked for good reviews in this area and found Swifts. Rang James, who called back with a price. Booked in, arrived to good waiting room, polite and helpful staff. The technician showed me the problem. Work completed and car is now perfect again. Fantastic service at a good price. Very professional company, cannot recommend enough. Would use again if in this area.

We had a knocking sound on our classic VW bus and we called to see if they could take a look for us. Very kindly allowed us to bring her in on the ramp between jobs. They found the cause was a loose caliper bolt! Tightened it up and she's all good, well apart from needing new ball joints! Thanks for the help guys! Originally went to pitstop garage and would never go back and give these guys a call and Could not ask for a better service! Got my water pump and gear switch selector done on my Audi S3 and went through warranty without any bother. Will be back soon for gearbox service :D

These lads know what theyre doing, i had eml on, went to 2 different garages who gave 2 different reasons for light being on ( one was skoda a dealership) went to swift, they diagnosed problem and fixed it promptly with no fuss or sales patter, price was no more expensive than anywhere else. I recommend this garage on the total experience i had, fast, friendly and expertly fixed problem at reasonable cost, i was told up front how much it would cost and thats what i paid. Great service

A great team of technicians that do excellent work. They are good about explaining the issues they have found and potential solutions before doing any work. Quotes have always been spot on, no extra charges. I took my car to them in a pretty sorry state when i had first bought it and they were very patient and helpful while i was getting the issue sorted out. Since then i have been back a few times for other work as i was very impressed. They may charge a little more than other garages but the extra money you are paying is for quality of service, and even then they are still a lot cheaper than a main dealer.

Swift were very efficient and professional. They re-coded my steering angle sensor within 20 minutes. Their prices are very reasonable - anyone with a VW should take it to them for any problem, electronic or mechanical. I cannot recommend them highly enough. - Jeff Wilson

Absolutely fantastic! I had an engine management problem and had taken my car to an Audi main dealer, they wanted £526.97 to remove the catalytic converter to “investigate” further (without repair) even though the diagnostic machine stated where the problem was. They then stated that I needed to replace both front bushes and my rear pads and discs as they were 90% worn. Everything in total was coming to around £1,500 upwards! I was very apprehensive of their findings so contacted Swift. They took my car in and carried out a diagnostic. Same fault appeared so they simply replaced the part, no need to remove the cat, problem solved! They also gave my car a service using genuine Audi parts. Swift stated that my rear pads were 70% worn so did not yet require replacing and they found that the front bushes were absolutely fine despite small splits in the rubbers. I’ve never dealt with such honest and enthusiastic technicians/mechanics and it was so refreshing. I saved around £1,000 in non-essential costs compared to the Audi main dealer. I cannot recommend these guys enough. I will only ever use Swift for my Audi SQ5 needs in the future. Thanks again.

Had problems with my partner's Skoda Superb with the double boot mechanism faulty. I have used this garage for a while now after it was recommended after issues with my VW Touareg. I was very impressed with the garage when they repaired my Treg and have done loads of work to both mine and my partners Skoda since. This garage is amazing, they are very professional and very reasonable with excellent work carried out. They stayed back after normal hours to get my partners Skoda finished, as the job turned out to be a nightmare, and done a fantastic job repairing it. All credit to the garage staff who you cannot fault. I looked for a good garage for many years switching from garage to garage and never really satisfied but would never use another garage now. So glad they were recommended to me, as i haven't looked back. Thank you and keep up the good work, it is reassuring to know your car is in good hands. Anybody reading this review be reassured i am fanatical about my car and would never recommend a garage without good cause.

Following unhelpful experience at main dealership in Cramlington, who wanted £600 for repairing my Infotainment system, on a used Fabia purchased just 3 months earlier. I bought a replacement unit on a well known auction site, and Swift expertly coded it to my car, so in the end the whole repair including the replacement unit was £120, less than a quarter of what the dealer wanted. I am delighted with their helpful friendly service and will recommend them to all my friends and colleagues with Audi, VW, and Skoda cars.

Great staff , and fantastic service . Took my VW in on Friday and was informed after a diagnostic that they couldn't sort out the issue till the following Thursday. Absolutely fantastic. We'd had two things go wrong driving down from Edinburgh to catch a ferry to Amsterdam. We missed the ferry and had a two day layover in Newcastle. The guys at Swift dropped everything to get us back on the road fixing both a faulty turbo and a bent wheel so we could get our rebooked ferry the following day. They were friendly, helpful and good humoured and didn't charge a fortune. Really really impressive.

I have done engine swap 6 month ago (Audi A5 petrol) with Swifts and cannot prise them enough for a great job they've done. The support was awesome and for honest and reasonable price - contrary to Audi dealer who quoted astronomical price that far exceeded the already high car's value while submitting an incorrect fault diagnosis (they charged me £60 for that and ... washed my car - the most expensive car wash ever ... ). Swift engineers turned out to be the whole world better than Audi dealers. The engine (and turbo) was installed flawlessly - the car drives like a brand new one - and I've been heavily exploiting my A5 ever since with no issues whatsoever - just the fun of the drive is what I'm expecting now! I heard about Swift on couple of audi forums and now I'm one of their many happy customers.

Can’t recommend the service and staff at Swift Motor Engineering enough, just had my Haldex 4drive diff, and DSG gearbox serviced , they do a far more professional and in-depth service than a main dealer, the guys know their stuff, remove and clean parts that main dealers don’t touch, and that need an essential clean to keep them running in peak performance, don’t think I’ll trust my Seat Cupra to anyone else from now on , super service and all at a great price , cheers lads
