Being a women I trust Halfords. My experience was very pleasant. The staff are very friendly and honest. My MOT passed but did have advisory’s that the staff explain easily for me to understand & offering a free brakes check. Definitely recommend Halfords

Great service, easy and quick. Called up before hand to see if I could sit and wait. Very polite and had the Mot done quicker than expected. There is a small waiting area inside. Car park is a bit tight at one end. Entrance is round the back.

I used the online booking system and paid upfront for 4 new tyres to be fitted. I was offered a selection of time slots so I assumed that meant a while you wait service. On arrival I was asked to leave the key and they'll phone me when the car is ready. I explained that I thought it was an allocated time to myself and the lady on reception said it is but it takes between an hour and an hour and a half to change the tyres, she wasn't the most friendly of people but maybe I sounded abrupt myself when I tried to explain I assumed it would be done there and then . My car was ready 85 minutes later. I am not a tyre fitter so I have no idea if the job provided was good or not, one of my alloy rims seem to have an excessive amount of unsightly weights added to them from what I can make out 50g in total, maybe this is normal? The guy who handed me my keys back and chatted to me at the end and issued my invoice was much friendlier, he pulled this review round to being an average 3 stars.

Amazing! Young chap ginger hair didn't get name! So friendly and helpful. The gentleman at the reception was friendly and made me feel welcome, everything was straight forward in terms of booking my car in . My car had to stay in the garage for a few days while it was waiting for new parts to be delivered and fitted. Once the parts were received everything was done as fast as possible and I was able to collect my car. The change of oil and oil filter was done for free which was very much appropriated. Excellent customer service and good work quality. They do tend to overpromise on timings. I do understand getting the right parts and fitting take time and often it is hard to predict, but I always have to wait longer then initially promised.

Absolute 5 out of 5. Another garage said my brakes were noisy and the front brakes were low. They did a free brake check and turns out that they were all perfect so nothing needed doing saving me 95 quid. They also showed me my brakes including the discs and pads telling me what was what, I do not have much car knowledge but they looked brand new and perfect to me. I'm going there again! Really what more can I say - Took my Seat Altea in for a noise in the back wheel - The mechanic tested all functions of my car, checked the back wheel and found there was a stone in between the brake and the casing, removed it and no noise problem sorted - Staff fantastic, professional and helpful - They did not even charge me for there time. - I bought that mechanic some beers as a thankyou - Would encourage anyone looking for a reliable garage use these guys. Phoned in and booked an appointment for swapping a set of wheels for a new one ordered online ( not halfords) and wheel alignment afterwards . Arrived and the car was taken swiftly and the technician started work immediately . Work done with exceptional care and quality. they even ensured that the old rims were covered in plastic sheet before putting into the car to avoid stains. Was charged considerably less when compared to other standalone tyre shops.
