I have taken my car to M-tek a couple of times, found them by searching for the best BMW specialists in Northampton and I have not been disappointed. When I've taken my car in I have been very happy with the service received, everything was sorted out in a quick time frame and everything came to a very reasonable price. Ian and Richard are both very knowledgeable and it is clear they have a lot of experience just from talking to them. I will definitely be taking my car back in there future.

Update: Been back twice since the above review, these guys continue to impress. Work done promptly and professionally with a smile. The outcome is every bit as good as a franchises dealer at a fraction of the cost. I’m definitely a convert.

I have used these guys a few times. Latest occasion was for a new clutch, including DMF and hydraulic cylinder on my Vauxhall Insignia. They offered a competitive price, but more importantly to me was the great service. They clearly explained what work needed doing and why and after completing the job gave me a clear appraisal of the work carried out. Car completed on time and now drives really well. All in all I would recommend them.

Superb service. Able to restore water damaged ECU on my 335 BMW. Three other specialists failed, my only wish is that I had found these guys earlier. Having sorted the issue, they then took steps to stop it happening again. Top old fashioned repair if possible attitude, and only replace if no choice .

Had what I thought could be a serious fuel flow fault that was causing my e46 330cd m sport to cut out under load and acceleration which was scary and dangerous I needed a quick and detailed analysis which my usual local dealer could not get to quickly enough from my perspective. Having heard good things concerning M-Tek I contacted Richard who was only too eager to listen and want to help. He took my car in straight away gave me an immediate diagnosis, subject to further examination and completed the repair within the day and even loaned me a car so my day was not disrupted. All at a good value for money rate, accepting the parts needed, further diagnosis and at least 3 test drives. An absolutely top man running a top team, together with a top service and as a plus, they are all enthusiasts who wanted to talk to you about your car, when did you last experience that?. They now have a highly satisfied and new customer - thank you again M-Tek

Wanted to bring my biggest thank you to the guys working there. I have BMW e46 330ci M sport And the guys made an amazing job on my time belt, gasket, radiator, timing belt, brakes and much much more, very good prices !!! I have been to few garages, been missleaded and not welcomed. Took my E92 M3 in to M Tek earlier today for a new battery & to replace some rear suspension arms after an advisory on my last MOT. They gave me a courtesy car without any fuss and quickly installed & coded the new battery. Turns out my suspension arms & bushings are only minimally worn and don’t need replacing at this moment in time. Good honest garage. I will have all my future work carried out with them (except servicing to maintain my FBMWSH). Highly recommend.

Took my m135i to mtek a week or so ago for first non main dealer service. Hoping they would do all usual service parts plus resolve an exhaust rattle. I checked the reviews both on Google and a few forums where they get great write-ups. These guys lived up to it. After the service, I had a muted banging noise transitioning from reverse to drive and vice versa. Brake pads turned out to be slightly undersize supposedly due to manufacturer error. Mtek found this and replaced suggesting "we don't want any of our work not being up to scratch". Exactly what I was after. Peace of mind. Will definitely be returning. Thanks lads!

Took my BMW to them to fix a turbo problem 4 years ago after the main dealer and another specialist couldnt sort - they diagnosed it within 2 hours and fixed at a reasonable cost. Since then I have always used them and found them to be fair, honest and very knowledgable - recommended!!

There's not enough space for me to write all the good things there are to say about this team (led by Richard & Ian). I have been extremely fortunate to have discovered these guys off the back off brief BMW ownership (an E38). Even when you turn up in an older car, you're treated like a VIP - really goes to show. Now that I'm back in my Landcruiser - I still come to them (was worried that leaving BMW ownership meant having to leave them too) - I plan to keep my Landcruiser forever essentially - an ambition only viable when you have access to a garage who know what they're doing, good prices, & excellent workmanship (incredible attention to detail). You very rarely find all three of those elements in one garage - you normally have to 'pick two' & let the third element slide! Simply fantastic, superlative service from M-Tek - long may they reign!

So having owned a few BMW’s and experiencing other so called BMW specialists located in Northampton I can say with authority, there simply is no other place to go. I very recently brought a BMW 520d Touring auto 2011 privately., within 24hours the car broke down and needed recovery. It was taken to a local BMW main dealer in Northampton who diagnosed the car as requiring a complete new fuel system, due to the failure of the high pressure fuel pump with placed iron filings in all components of the fuel system. Cost of repair 6.5k excl vat. I recovered the vehicle and sent it to MTEK independant BMW Specialists in Northampton for a second opinion, they agreed that the fault was caused by the failure of the high pressure fuel pump and suggested all the injectors, pump, filters, etc be replaced, the fuel tank and fuel lines to be cleaned. Total cost incl vat 3.5k. Picked the car up today it's spot on, obviously if a fault occurs with the car I shall keep you all informed how they deal with it, but I will trust MTEK with all future service/repair work. If you own a BMW old or new give them a try. As for the main dealer network (never again) BMW sort them out, rip off merchants. Thanks (Richard) at MTEK......

Seriously THE BEST BMW Specialists in the area. They have never been phased by what both my cars have thrown at them.. I’d recommend anyone
