OK so these guys clearly know their stuff and you'd expect that from a performance car service - and you can totally trust your precious Porsche with Portech. But it's not just the solid work, experience, enthusiasm and really great customer service (Carla is the perfect front of house) - it's the technical magic. After some standard remedial and maintenance work, John and his team asked me to trust their advice when it came to all those extra tweaks that they felt were needed to truly bring my car up to scratch Of course I hesitated, because that costs money too. Well I'm so glad that I trusted in them - driving my C2S now feels like I'm in a different car! It just feels proper, feels sorted, powerful and balanced - and puts a smile on my face every time I drive it. Now surely that's what it's all about? Thanks again Team Portech - I'm chuffed.

I took my pride & joy to Portech Performance and John could not have been more reassuring with his knowledge of my car. His attention to detail was a refreshing change from some main dealers, he actually does care about your car and informs you of things to look for with the longevity of the vehicle. I will DEFINITELY be using him again. I have used Portech Performance now for a few years and the service, knowledge, value for money and honesty is a breath of fresh air. You can be rest assured that you are receiving a better quality of service on your car than the main dealers. John may not have the fancy showroom, coffee lounge etc but he deliveres were it matters, looking after your pride & joy.

Had a service for my 991 carried out after checking their online reviews and talking with John. They couldn't be more helpful and professional. Service was carried out as planned, was given a health check and sensible advice on intervals for upcoming maintenance. I am so impressed with the service received from these guys. I just bought my first Porsche (911 997) and asked Portech if they would do an inspection at very short notice. Right from speaking with Carla to make the appointment, the service was just amazing. I had traveled quite far and ended up being an hour late. Straight away I was offered a cup of tea and they got the car in straight away. They went through the inspection with me and actually showed me every detail they inspected with clear English explanations. I wish I lived nearer (as they were on my 400 mile way home from collecting the car) as I would have no hesitation in using them. I hope this review drives more business their way (excuse the pun!) as a thank you for being absolutely amazing. Thank you again 😁

I’m really glad I found Portech. John is a great guy and knows a great deal about the cars. He was able to get my 987 Boxster S in quickly for a comprehensive service and then gave a thorough breakdown of what needed doing urgently, at some point or cosmetically. As I was reasonably local, he collected and returned the car to home as well. When I had another fault, he was able to diagnose, fix and return the car within 48 hours. Excellent service.

I took my 911 997.2 Carrera S to Portech after reading the glowing reviews and I was not disappointed! John gave the car a thorough examination and showed me several faults that I wasn’t aware of. Carla emailed me a comprehensive quote for the work and we agreed what would be done. John was happy for me to supply some of the parts and was very patient with me when I ordered the wrong ones! Now the work is done I’m really happy with the results. All in all a very positive experience and I will definitely use Portech again. As other reviewers have said, the pick up and drop off service is particularly helpful.

I took my Porsche to John for some work and I was very impressed. I am quite funny with who I let work on my car but straight away after meeting John I knew this was the correct guy to look after my car. Pricing is very competitive and he has all the Porsche gear needed. I will definitely be back!

I've used John a few times now. Every time has been great, such a nice guy who knows his stuff and is a pleasure to deal with. He's really open to showing you exactly what needs fixing and competitively priced. The local pickup service is great too, as is the comms from Carla to let you know progress. This is what garages should be like, especially if you are worried about fixing your pride and joy!

John at Portech is quite simply a brilliant mechanic. I took my 997 to him with clutch issues and immediately felt that id come to the right place. He is thorough and honest which to be quite frank is a rarity these days. I will be using him in future without a shadow of a doubt.
