I have to say excel garage gave me a service on my mini today .They picked up my car and dropped it back .Jason kept me informed and is always so so helpful .I cannot recommend this garage enough

Had to take one of our cars in to Excel as the engine warning light came on when I was driving it. I was very panicked about driving it. The lovely Jason was very reassuring. Issue diagnosed and fixed. We have been taking both our cars here for a number of years, service is always brilliant, well done guys.

Great little garage but the only downfall is that they aren't equipped to work on an automatic gearbox but price for parts and fitting is good and mechanic I spoke to was incredibly informative when giving the information you need about the problems they don't speak in mechanical terms it gets explained in English then how to fix and pricing ect overall a good garage but would be better if they could do auto too

First time I've been to Excel and after having MOT completed on daughter's car was very happy to let them complete services on both my sons and wife's. Welcomed us and kept us informed throughout with exact costings and advisories. Vehicles were ready to collect on time and even arranged a Saturday pick up with the boss when they were closed.

This is a great garage. Staff are very polite and helpful. My grandson had a clutch failure on his MK7 VW golf that was covered under a Warranty from Marshalls. The garage took over the whole claim process and dealt with loss adjuster themselves. Repairs carried out professionally and invoiced Marshalls Warranty directly. Cannot praise their services higher.

This garage, it's owner Nick and his brilliant team of mechanics go above and beyond every single time my car pays them as a visit. As woman who is not very knowledgeable about cars, I have often found myself being ripped off by the likes of Kwik Fit and Halfords for the simplest of jobs. Nick and the guys always take the time to carefully explain things and give practical advice on fixing issues, cost options and things to be mindful off in the future. They are extremely fair in pricing, will never carry out unnecessary work and will deliver exactly what they say they are going to diver on the time they say they are going to deliver it. All of this is done with a warm reception and friendly manner, what more could you want from your garage. Well done guys, see you soon for my service!

My son bought a car and popped it down for the mechanics to look at. They went through it with a fine tooth comb. They found a couple of minor issues and told my son are not urgent and can be done over the next couple of months. We use this garage all the time and in my experience I never thought I'd could use the words garage and trustworthy, reliable, and honest in the same sentence. However this garage is exceptional. Excellent customer care. Had to go here when engine light came on, halfway driving to Newcastle. They performed the diagnostic test and did a thorough job at looking what the problem was. Unfortunately, it being late Saturday morning, they did not have time to order the bits and repair my car. As they could not fix it, they did not charge me a penny, despite working on it for three hours. I was especially surprised as they knew I would not be returning as they are not local to me. My car issue was with the turbo, so they gave good advice so that I could reach my destination and try to look for a garage up north. They even told me how much it should cost to fix, so as not to get overcharged by the next garage. I was very happy with these guys and am glad I stopped here

Excellent customer service from dropping my car off and collecting it. Due to having a bad back they even drove me home and picked me up, excellent guys and very pleasant. Absolutely amazing people fast fair work done. My car broke down just after work, they stayed open late untill recovery got me thier. We needed a prebooked MOT following accident repairs so that it could be driven to the repair centre and called on Excel at very short notice who said that we could take our Corsa to them and they'd MOT this as soon as they could in the next few days. Spotting a window in their availability Excel got the car MOT'd and issued the pass certificate and called me less than two hours after I'd dropped it off. Have used these guys for years and have never found fault. Always great service and will continue to use them for many years (and vehicles) to come. Originally took my car to kwikfit as Excel unfortunately had no availability for an MOT. God I wish I had waited. Kwikfit told me the vehicle failed the MOT. Took it back to Excel garage and they checked the car over and found that not only did the thing they fail it on was perfectly fine, but Kwikfit had also missed things from the advisory, one of the main things being the fact that my rear seatbelts couldn't be tested due to child seats being installed!! Falsified MOT Certificate? I'm so glad these guys know what they are doing and I feel ashamed to have taken it to kwikfit instead of waiting for Excel. Learn from mistakes, and I will wait next time and use Excel. A****** service as always. Cannot recommend highly enough.

The only place who managed to solve a problem with my car that no one else could. Been driving around for a year, spending un necessary money for works which was not needed (through other places) and yet nott having my issue resolved. Was a bit worried about using a new garage but these guys were recommended to me and its a relief that even some weeks later, car is virtually back to how it was pre problems.... Communication from excel was second to none and although my bill was steep it was down to the amount of work needed to fix the huge problems which were present, nothing to do with them over pricing. Great local garage. I seem to always have my car or the wife's car booked in. Good for them not so much for my pocket. They always get the job done and honour the warrenties on parts fitted as I have found out. when a faulty water pump went after having cam belt and water pump change. They exchanged both parts under warrenty which was brucey as I didn't realise they were under warrenty. Booked the wife's car in again today being Saturday morning I wasn't expecting it to be done as Richard told me might not get it back till middle of next week as busy which I was happy to wait as short notice. But he rang me back to say that the lads are staying on a bit longer to get the car done. Top service from Nick, Bob, Richard and the rest of the team.

I was told about the garage by a friend from work. Called up to see if they would investigate a problem with my BMWs dpf. Price was much better than taking the car back to a dealer and 2 weeks later still no issue lights on the dashboard and no codes on the ODB scanner. Very happy to find a local garage I trust. Excellent service received today and at short notice too! I required a new tyre as mine blew out following a scuffle with a pot hope, and they managed to not only get me a new tyre in the same specification I required (actually better and a great price too) but they also fitted it the same day. Super job. Saved me loads of hassle. Being local too I didn't have to mess up my day to drive around on a spare or have to go to one of the A.N.Other tyre companies and sit about with the car for hours! Recommended these guys by reviews and word of mouth, had my daughters cambelt replaced on her Fiesta last week excellent service and price,it wasn't until a week later she asked me to check her water and oil as she was going to Oxford that same day, that I noticed that the utility belt was frayed(which I thought was the cambelt,thats why I'm not a mechanic)took it round straight away to Excel even though they were very busy they still managed to get it in the same morning to do the job immediately,NOW THATS WHAT I CALL SERVICE,fantastic would highly recommend to everybody they actually do put customers first and they certainly do not rip people off,will use again and again.My daughter has ask me to tell you all, a big THANK YOU.
