I have use Mr Clutch for my last few services and MOT. Ron was very helpful and helped get my car through the MOT and some minor repairs. My only complaint is I received a parking ticket on 25/05/22 through the business parks ANPR system whilst my car was having a major service on 20/04/22. I am still awaiting confirmation of this ticket being cancelled through Mr Clutch, as the company that issued the ticket refused my appeal and blamed Mr Clutch for not putting me on the system. I have contacted customer services with all the details and was told it's being dealt with by a director. This needs to be sorted by the 12/07/22 or I will have to pay £100 to stop debt recovery getting involved and charging even more

I phoned up last week and was told my cars ac gas was the old type so they had nobody trained to do a regas. I phoned up yesterday and the guy said no problem, drop your car off. Very good value and prompt polite service. I don't know who answered the phone on the first instance but today's guy was fantastic. I also took my wife's car in for ac regas on the same day. Good work

Process was very straightforward I booked my MOT and paid online the guy who did my MOT even adjusted a minor thing that could have been a fail if not adjusted. I have always received a professional service.

Used this garage for years without fault. However, there now seems to be a different team on reception and they're not as friendly or polite as they were, quite rude infact. A lot more respectful to my husband. We will not be going back!

Major service carried out and new front discs and pads replaced at a reasonable price. Dave on the front desk very friendly and patient with me as I couldn’t make my mind up about which service to have! My only issue is I asked them to check a noise coming from the vehicle when turning left - that noise is still there although they advised everything was ok with the vehicle having carried out various checks. Just a bit miffed they couldn’t find and resolve that particular issue for me. Apart from that all good. The booking was made at the Reading branch on Stadium Way under my name on Friday 2nd July. No booking ref as wasn’t given one. Just asked to take the car down there. I did highlight the noise on the paperwork that I had to fill in when I arrived.

Got Car MOT here for around £35 which is excellent value. Dropped car off and done in an hour. Excellent staff and good customer service

Today Mr Clutch Reading fitted a new cambelt and water pump to my works VW Transporter. Great service….great price….£200 cheaper than other quotes….honest no nonsense company….very professional staff.. Will also be using them for my personal VW Transporter camper service/repairs from now on. Top marks all round.✔️✔️✔️

Had my clutch done on my car at basingstoke. Had problems with it so i took it back for them to say need a new clutch. When told them its under warrenty they said i didnt need one pushing me out the door. So decided to go and get 2nd opinion at Reading took it in today they explained if its down to me burning the clutch out then we would have to pay which is fine. They replaced the clutch due to it being fitted incorrectly/faulty Brilliant service from reading very professional and honest will never go back to basingstoke again will always travel to reading thankyou again!

This Mr Clutch is the fifth garage I have used, and the first that I have been happy with. I have been going there for several years now, and they have always been trustworthy and reasonably priced. For example, when I had an occasionally squeaky wheel they investigated, found that it was not something problematic so I did not need to get it fixed, all for free. You cannot beat that!

I used the Reading Facility and I always find the Management & Staff to be Very Friendly & approachable. They do however Get incredibly Busy at peak times so be prepared to have to wait a little longer than planned. I would also add that in my experience they offer a Genuine & Value for Money service in a very convenient location.

I've been taking my car to Mr Clutch for its MOT and service for a few years now (I've caught the Black Friday sale the last couple of years, 15% off), but their prices are pretty competitive anyway. They're staff are good, never try to get more work and great at explaining what work may need doing in the next year or so.

My company van was recovered to Mr Clutch and immediately the branch manager "Pete" new the importance of getting it fixed and back on the road. Pete explained everything and contacted me everyday with an update. Van had a whole new clutch fitted and a few other bits and pieces. Used Mr Clutch before and always found them good. Had the clutch replaced which always batters the wallet but they have after sales checks that go on for miles. Its because of these checks that I feel well looked after and I'm getting good value.

Always had good service here, for MOTs, air-con recharging and general fixing. The lad's aren't super-chatty but if you've got a problem they'll do their best to get you booked in at a time that suits you and they'll give you good, honest feedback on what they've done.

My personal position is the 5th star it is for beyond what you expect for a service. For me there if you give 5th start for what you expect there is no way to award this when someone goes beyound. Mr Clutch did a every thing you expected. The charge what as agreed. Return my car on the agreed time and as combined asked my approval for fix issues they found.

Showed up unannounced one morning to see if they could check my engine after an intermittent warning light and scraping noise occasionally happened whilst accelerating my car away from junctions. The person at reception was polite and informed me that they would be able to check this for no cost. A few hours later they rang me back to tell me they had identified the problem as a worn ball joint that needed replacing for £180. This surprised me as I had not encountered any problems with the steering, and it did not explain why the engine warning light was coming on. When I asked if they had actually checked the engine I was told that they could only do this if they charged me £50 to run a diagnostic, despite the fact that I had clearly described the problem originally as being engine related. I therefore decided to collect the car without having any work carried out. I have since been using the car to drive to work as usual this week and have encountered no problems with the steering from the ball joint in question. It may be worn, but it certainly didn't need replacing yet (another garage had already told me this just 1 month earlier when they replaced the ball joint on the other side of the vehicle). Whilst the staff at Mr Clutch were helpful and friendly enough, I felt they just saw an opportunity for some easy money and were fully aware that the ball joint was not the actual source of my problem (which now appears to be contaminated fuel).
