Paddy is my saver for my baby car!! Booked in with urgent as the 4s cancelled my appointment last minute. Phoned Paddy and I was asked to come straight away!!
Wonderful job done within hour! Brilliant !!

R. K. M.Went to Paddy to get my mk3 fiesta's alternator belt checked as it was slipping, but it turned out that there were much bigger issues with the car, the water pump was broken, leaking out coolant which in turn had been overheating the engine to the point of blowing the head gasket 😬
Paddy showed me all this and explained it all clearly so I understood.
This would have been a very costly repair, there was no pressure from Paddy for me to get the work done, he actually advised not to get it done as it would not be cost effective.
But I then had the worry of thinking, now I need to try & find another car 😆
However Paddy mentioned his colleague Dean had a mk4 fiesta with no issues which he was planning to either scrap or sell, and Dean amazingly and very kindly said I could have it! & in exchange he would scrap my old car for me.
This helped me out a massive amount and absolutely made my day!
I had a job interview the next day, which I wouldn't have been able to get to otherwise, as my other car was no longer safe to drive. Also it took away any stress of trying to find and then buy another car. So am incredibly grateful for this 🙂
Came here last year as well for an MOT on my old fiesta and they are the most friendly & trustworthy mechanics I've ever been to.
Always try to save you money & explain everything clearly, with no pressure.
It's reassuring to have found a garage I don't feel anxious about going to, which I always did before when going to mainstream chains (and apparently rightly so, after discovering from Paddy one of those chains had fitted the wrong brake parts to my car making it unsafe, and in the process had charged me a fortune to do so! 🙄)
So long review short, would 100% recommend Reading Drive In to anyone, and will always go back here in the future 🙂

P. C.This place is epic. Limped my car there at short notice for them to take a look at why my coolant was disappearing, and quickly diagnosed a split pipe. A short term (but pretty sturdy) fix later, it was booked in for two days time for a parts replacement. Garages like this are like rocking horse poo, I'll be using them again for sure.
S. R.Paddy was excellent to say the least, i called up and they booked me in for an M.O.T. the next morning. It only took about 1 hour and a half and the car was thoroughly inspected. My car passed with some advisories but I'm well happy because honesty is the best policy.
These guys are proffesional, honest, efficient and they definitely do not take any shortcuts.
