B.Usually using a main dealer, I must confess to being slightly put off by the trading estate that the garage is situated on. Don't be. It is clear from the off Will knows his stuff, and inspires confidence immediately. The rear diff on my BMW Z4 was overhauled and now sounds perfect (silent) on my journey home. Good job. Well done. Recommended.
A. B.Pete and Will at Solent Gearboxes were recommended to me by my local mechanic and they did a fantastic job of fixing my Toyota Hiace camper. The rear diff was in need of replacement or extensive repairs - instead of paying a huge labour cost to do these, Will advised me on purchasing a second hand one from a breaker yard. D. R.Excellent. Brought my Audi A4 rear diff here on the basis of good reviews. Pete was helpful on the phone. On the basis of that conversation I took the diff cover off to check the ring and pinion, which was in good condition, which meant it was bearings that had gone. Took it in and he changed bearings in a week for a very fair price. Diff has been excellent after a couple of thousand miles. Car feels awesome again. Thank you. Would recommend.

It's good that independent garages and repairers like these companies exist as if I'd had to take the car to the main dealership they would have just replaced the complete diff at much greater cost.
