The mechanic will vary depending on where you live and they do give you reviews of the mechanic after you have agreed to the work and given payment details. Its a great site, my only gripe would be for them to offer a mechanic but for you to be able to check the reviews before agreeing. The mechanic i had was good

Had a full service booked in with this company and they found me a fantastic mobile mechanic. I've always used local garages, but I absolutely love the convenience of having them come to my house and carrying out the work right there. No more morning drop offs at the garage and headaches of waiting for jobs to get done! My dog inspected the work and was happy so I gave him some kibble. Mechanic told me my front brake pads and discs are on the way out fast within weeks, he's given me an incredibly cheap quote for this further work. There's almost no point me shopping around. I would have given them full stars for comes but I only asked for new pads but they fitted disks as well with out telling me. Had they called before hand I probably would have asked for the new disks anyway. That said they did acknowledge it was there error and only charged me the cost of the disks and not for the man hours.

Booked a full service mobile mechanic arrived was friendly but slightly haphazard and to my knowledge did not do a full service. Indeed reputable garages say the mobile full service is teh equivalent of an interim. He indicated that brake discs and pads needed doing and was given a misleading quote with "discount" . Agreed to cancel the extra work at no charge via the resolution centre but my card has a pending transaction of £211. (update money was returned). Quote from reputable garage £140. Click mechanic are a good service but they need to use reputable mechanics and garages. Luck of the draw. They need to ensure the people they use are providing a quality value service. Update: Got good quality parts and garage to fix costing £118 (not £211).

The premium service is well worthwhile, my mechanic Mohammed was very detailed and spotted issues that I'd never have identified myself when checking the car. I got a detailed report with photos and I had a couple of follow up calls to explain the findings. Overall I was very glad I used them.

I used Click Mechanic to get someone to inspect a van for me. I've used them 3 times now and have been incredibly satisfied each time for vehicle inspections! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND paying the extra £25 to include a post inspection phone call. The document the mechanic sends you post inspection is very good but a bit thin on specifics usually with a rating of Poor/Fair/Good/Excellent for each element. To get into more detail about specifics, the phone call is awesome to hear it straight from the mechanic while it's fresh in their mind. The second time I used Click Mechanic for an inspection I didn't pay the extra £25 and resultantly had to draw my own conclusions from the document, where if I'd paid the extra £25 I could've spoken straight to him and got his recommendation. All in all an awesome company with fantastic mechanics in my experience. PAY THE EXTRA £25 FOR AN INSPECTION

I took a day off work to take my car for repair booked on ClickMechanic. At 17h15 the day before I was to drop the car off I received an odd message from the mechanic saying he never accepted the booking. I contacted him the next morning and he said the booking had been cancelled by ClickMechanic even though on my dashboard on the website it said it was active. Terrible communication between Clickmechanic, the actual mechanic and customer. Wasted my morning. I had to find someone else to do the work - an old school garage who did the work well and at a lower cost.

This is amazing service...I couldn't even get the car to the garage so I was in dire straits.(love that band!)....I had to ring the garage to cancel my appointment for them to fix the alternator as the battery was now destroyed and the warning lights were just flashing everytime I tried to start the car.......I put my problem to google and along comes these guys £50 cheaper and fixed it on my own doorstep! ..all paid by credit card. Brilliant service! Having my car fixed will never be the same again. A cheerful mechanic collected my car from my house and then delivered it back, fixed and ready to go, in under two hours. It was so easy! And the price was approximately half of what my local mechanic’s shop had quoted me. The online ClickMechanic quotes are provided up front so you know what you are going to pay and you are only charged after the car has been fixed; they do put a payment request through so the money is held in your account for payment, which is fine.This is the simplest, most stress-free, way to get your car fixed!

Dealership tried the usual scare tactics with "your discs and pads need changing 'sometime' before the next service" (which is 2yrs or 20K miles away). So 6mths later, with minimal miles added I got organised, and asked ClickMechanic to quote. Job was done quickly, with minimal fuss or mess and the mechanic was clearly knowledgeable, friendly and very thorough. However, Clickmechanic thankfully resolved the matter after some prompting and arranged a refund of overcharged amounts. Best to check reviews of any mechanic that is introduced both in Clickmechanic and on Google before using. Booked full service and MOT for £230 on clickmechanic and the cowboy mechanic that turned up added unauthorised work and charges without telling me and took £600+ from my card (and tried to take more before I blocked it!). They didn't even top up any fluids though this was part of the full service. Was told by CM this mechanic will be banned from their network going forward.

When my husbands car broke down on our driveway the other day and he took mine to dash to work away up north, I was left trying to work out how to get it fixed. As we don't have home recovery on our breakdown cover, I started off looking at tow truck services, and then at how much it would cost to buy a rigid tow bar. Then I came across Clickmechanic. I was a little dubious at first as I've never used or heard much about mobile mechanics before. But their website was really easy to use and provided me with a level of reassurance, as did reviews of the company. I submitted my request on Wednesday evening and got a mechanic out on Thursday evening for a diagnostic check. He identified the fault in 5 minutes and then did a few further tests to confirm the fault. He then provided a no obligation quote for the fix, which came through on email, so I was able to check the prices against our local garage and other services. The quote provided was very reasonable and we went ahead and booked the fix in for Saturday ASAP, we got a confirmed time slot of 8-10am and at 7:50 Gareth was on our doorstep, and by 8:05 our car was fixed. Perfect and efficient service. One I will definitely use again and recommend.

I couldn't be present at it was 200 miles away but he kept me informed. After the inspection he ran through all the main things I needed to know if considering buying. It would have been better if the mechanic did some sort of diagnostic before replacing a part and then telling me, that was not the fault, it could be something else, then proceeding to quote me £400 for an uncertainty. I liked the fact that they are able to come out to homes and in this instance having them come out was the same cost as if I'd taken the car to Halfords. Neither would be an option if my usual garage opened on the weekend. But for convenience the service was used. I don't like being spammed and since using the service I've had 10 or more emails begging me to leave reviews or send a 10% code to a friend.

Clickmechanic seems to be an agency that distributes jobs among mobile mechanics they are associated with, so they have no direct control with who knocks on your door. Despite advertising that they do not not take payment until the job is done, they charged my account the night before! However, on the day a guy named Bradley phoned me and gave me an ETA and arrived quite promptly. He was polite, friendly and quite professional. When he had finished he even showed me how knackered my old brake pads were! Very happy with the service. The only reason I give 4 out of 5 stars is the payment issue. Used these guys to find a local mechanic to do a pre purchase check on a car we were about to buy. Money well spent, as Andy the mechanic found strong evidence the car had been hit. The mechanic who came to review the car was an expert Danny Moran of GM tyres & autocar. He called me before hand just to ask a few questions & confirm what time he was arriving. Both my husband & I were super impressed with how knowledgable he was & how thorough he was when inspecting the car, he didn't miss one single trick & spotted every fault including some very serious work required that the dealer failed to tell us about. Danny checked everything including jacking up the car & checking underneath with a fine tooth comb. He was very honest with his advice & sent a thorough report afterwards with everything clearly explained. My mechanic was Jason and I must say hes a great mechanic and overall very nice guy that truly went the extra mile to help. I was very unlucky that my front coil springs went and on top of that I didnt have a locking nut tool to get the tires off so jason went above and beyond worked really hard to get the tires off and afterwards then went and got me a new locking nut set. Then he fixed the coil springs on both sides and on top of that he changed the break pads on my vichicle that had worn right down so they were metal on metal so all in all jason worked very hard and did a great job I cant thank him enough truly such a nice guy and would definitely recomend anyone who needs a mechanic to definitely give him a call.
