If you love cheese, you are going to love this. Delicious cheese toasties that made such an unforgettable impression on me that I had to return 3 years later, (once I could travel to London again) to eat it again. Definitely worth a try if you're in Borough Market.

It was our 2nd visit to Borough Market and we were there for a purpose, getting Kappacasein Dairy, which is famous for its cheesy Reclette and attractive Panini. We had an order of Reclette to share as a breakfast, which might have been too heavy but super satisfying. The staff made the platter by sliding the cheesy and melted reclette on boiled baby potatoes and pickles. It was worth our trip there again and my husband still misses their creamy cheese so much after weeks.

Oh, such a delish! We had many spots on our "must try in London" list, but not all of them have lived up to our expectations unfortunately. But the toasties! From best ingredients come all the greatness ;) one thing was missing for us - a glass of white wine, but we found a spot with prosecco in the other part of the market and then the happiness was full. Plus the market itself is just worth visiting, such a charming place. I hope to be back one day!

Heaven only costs you 6£ and its worth every penny! I flew half way round the world for Raclette (ok I flew over for a business conference). This was definitely a highlight of my trip. As others’ mentioned. £7 is WAY too much. It’d still be a decent sandwich for £5, sharing between 2-3 people. The cheese is really thick and salty. I like it for the first three bites, after that i was bored of it. Plus I was eating alone so it’d be a sin to throw away my £7. If you really like cheese I think it’d still be nice to try it for once. But, not necessarily. And make sure you get enough napkin.

Melted cheese paradise . Cheese Raclette or Toasty is your only option for £7 each. Queue tends to be long mostly during mid day. It is a must to try. Only down side is portion size could have been more generous, considering the price. Grab one and eat while exploring the market.

The best grilled cheese sandwich in the world, by a mile. In fact, this might be the best thing I've ever eaten in London. The cheese is earthy, pungent, sharp, gooey, crunchy and crispy all at once. The sandwich construction is perfect- even better than it was 3 years ago. Cheese melts through the hardy rustic sourdough, creating a browned crisp crust. A light addition of chives and leek add depth and a hint of herbaceousness to the creamy mad explosion of cheese flavor. Must do: pair this with a hot mulled cider or cold medium-dry cider from the cider stall on the other side of the market. 1+1=3.

Simple things, done well, are one of the true pleasures in life. I have been to Kappacesein diary a few times enjoying their racelette on potatoes, but today I sampled their cheese toastie - an option that doesn’t usually jump out at me. How wrong I have been! This toastie is now one of my favourite options in London. The bread is the optimum thickness to ensure total butter saturation. The cheese is both gooey and stringy; something I like. The mix of both red and white onions add a slightly sweet, fresh, crunchy note. Overall, thank you Kappacesein diary, you are enhancing the reputation of the humble toastie!!

It's economical compared to other dining selections here in UK, and it is extremely satisfying. Amazing raclette! We used to come to these guys all the time when they had a stand and the queue was always huge! (The service isn't slow, it's just that good!) Now they have a permanent venue in a shop but unfortunately it's a little way away from the street food stalls. We found it easy enough though. Would definitely recommend this if you love cheese

Wonderful food and product. Its almost at the entrance of the Borough Market. I had tried its cheese Toastie and the Raclette and both were pretty amazing. Well anything with cheese Inside is amazing anyways. The queues are sometimes big but it doesn't take a lot of time to get your order. The staff are pretty friendly and polite. It's not a place for a vegan person but for a vegetarian one, good news, they don't have meat in either of there products (saying by experience coz I am a vegitarian myself). So if u are looking for a filling meal, this is the place. And both of there products costs 7£ each. I am writing this review from a full stomach and satisfied with taste. Will go this place again in future as well.

A good friend had informed me that I made a horrible mistake by not making a stop at Kappacasein and so I went back.I got to Borough Market a slight bit after 11 and was only the second person on line. I didn't know what to order so I got both the raclette and the toasted cheese. I paid using my phone and credit card (not sure why another reviewer made such a stink about using their own currency. I didn't try to pay with the US dollar and get upset about it.) I received two tickets as receipt for payment.

If you've been to the market countless time as myself, you'd know that the variety in lunch options is huge and this little stall does not seem any different at first sight. However, the food is truly delicious - make sure you try both the grilled cheese sandwich and the Raclette. If you can't eat them both (and you probably wouldn't), go back another day! I am dead serious, the food is heavenly.

I was very excited when I saw the massivelump of cheese that they were cutting off for their sandwiches, and my excitement rose further when they handed me my sandwich, smelling all delicious and waiting for me to put in my mouth. Amazing crispy grilled cheese sandwiches! This counter-serve shop only have TWO items on the menu - raclette & grilled cheese sandwiches. Don't let tbe simplicity of the name turn you off, because this is a one-of-a-kind shop for these "Toasties." During lunch rush, two lines form: the one on the left is for raclette (special cheese on potatoes) & the one on the right is for toasties (grilled sourdough bread with 4 amazing cheeses inside with leeks&onions). I highly recommend this shop even with the 5-min queue!
