Best ever range for ciabatta and cakes along with hot drinks like coffee! Good bakery and good taste ! Staff are very helpful! Loved the vibes and food !

We went to this bakery and ordered traditional Turkish breakfast. Sucuk sausage and eggs was great and Simit was fresh and tasty but borek was not very good as I tried better borek before and it’s one of my favourite Turkish food. Staff was not very professional and friendly but if you like Turkish pastries specially Simit you can try this place.

After looking for halal places of which there weren't many and even less so good ones, we settled for simit and I must say we were very impressed with the customer service and the quality of the meals. We ordered Turkish sausage with eggs and Menemen. Both tasted scrumptious and left us feeling full of energy and satisfied. Portion size is also impressive too.

Wandered into here for a bit of desert after a dinner down the road. Had the pistachio cake and a coffee, which were both great. Guy behind the counter was very friendly and gave us recommendations. Paid about 8.50, which seemed fair to me as the piece of cake was huge (we shared one between two).

I visited this café for the first time this weekend - what an absolute gem. The moment you step in, you're greeted with a lovely, warm ambience with simplistic, modern/traditional decor to match. •Food• The food is laid out in the cabinets in front of you - some of which is warmed up for you on your order. They all look delicious, from the potatoe filled pastry to the pistachio and walnut covered baklava - absolutely mouthwatering. •Coffee• Ultimately, it was the traditional Turkish coffee that we came in search for...and it didn't disappoint. Having a sweet tooth, we ordered the sweet Turkish coffee - they were intensely aromatic and full of body and flavour, so much so, we had seconds. •Hygiene• Absolutely immaculate - well done. •Customer Service• The service was slightly slow to start with, but after the initial slow patch, they were fine and asked if the food was good (which isn't the norm for a coffee shop but then that's what you get when you choose to drink and dine at an independent). Friendly and polite at all times. I thoroughly enjoyed my first visit to this place and look forward to many more visits, sipping on my coffee and watching the world go by...

Excellent customer service and lovely halal food, great for a halal breakfast choice and also a mosque close by too which is handy. Lovely, homely atmosphere and a vast array of dishes and bakery items which looked amazing.

21 Jun 2018: We liked it so much yesterday that we returned today. A lovely welcome, a plain bagel for H, an olive bagel for me, tea and great coffee and we were very satisfied. For beautiful Borek, Bagels and Baklava beat your feet here now! 20 June 2018: H and I were walking back from Hove to Brighton when we came to this lovely wee place. We like bagels and we like palaces so...why not. The interior is more spacious than it looks from the outside. I put on 5 pounds just looking at the cakes, bagels and baklava on display! We were served by a smiling young woman - very pleasant. We had a cheese bagel and a (beautiful) pot of tea for two. The bagel tasted heavenly and H said that the tea was 'just right'. High praise from her! I think that we'll pop back tomorrow.

Lovely coffee. Something about this place reminds me of the diner in Twin peaks ! I think it's the traditional tables and lay out. Unpretentious cafe, is now my 'go to' when on the western road.

It was delicious the bread and simit was fresh and amazing the tea was hot and refreshing they had a lot of options for food but they could improve on songs they used while we were siting but still the food was delicious and that is what maters for me!!:)

Actually nice and peaceful place to have a tasty coffee and a cheeky slice of cake. They have a decent selection of sandwiches, cookies, cakes, patisseries and so on. If you walked past it asking yourself if you should try and kept walking, then next time, just stop and enjoy the moment.

This is the best bakery in the city, but please change Uber, Deliveroo opening times to 09:00 as by 10:30 all the good stuff finishes. Acma, Triangle Borek etc. Thanks

I've ordered via Deliveroo. 1st time ordering from Simit Palace. I've ordered the Turkish breakfast, acma, lentil soup, menemen and rice pudding. The Turkish breakfast was missing the boiled egg, the crème cheese, the tea and the sauced chicken, only got the Simit, half of peeled and sliced cucumber, half diced tomato, a handful of olives, the jam, butter, a small loaf of bread, a slice of salami cut in half, some greens, 2 small triangles of cheddar cheese and a chunky piece of feta cheese. (that feta portion was actually of decent size). All these fit in 2 small plastic takeaway plastic containers. Seeing that it costs £11.50, I don't think it's good value for money. Also the lentil soup portion was kind of small, same like the rice pudding (Sutlac) which cost £5.50. I've been ordering from another place Sutlac and it only costs £3.95 and it was a bit bigger than what Simit Palace offers. On a positive note, the Simit, Acma and everything else seemed fresh, and tasted nice as well. But overall, I wouldn't consider reordering again due to the price-to-portion-size they offer and also because of the many forgotten items in the breakfast, as there are other cheaper Turkish restaurants in Brighton that offer better value for money and just as fresh and tasty food.

New Turkish eatery which does a tasty range of Middle Eastern light lunches, great desserts and lovely coffee. Not expensive and light and airy. Pleasant wood decor. Very friendly and helpful staff. Definitely would recommend a visit, especially if you want to extend your culinary experience.

Walked past this place last week, it resembled my favorite coffee shop that I used to go when I was living in Turkey. I went in this morning for a brunch, their traditional Turkish tea was on point. They serve a wide selection of pastries, also desserts along with cakes! I decided to try out the Halloumi Bread, and to my surprise it was extremely good. Next time around I will be trying their Turkish Breakfast!

I can say this is the best bakery in the Brighton. You can order cake with your customizations. I order many vegan cakes for the birthday parties here and even our community guys trust this bakery and they order cakes here, every time they feel to celebrate.

i went to there on sunday , it was quiet place. there is a nice cake and same traditional dessert which from Turkey. Firstly price little bit more , baklawa which is 29 pound per kg. In london there is much better and they are selling 16 pound per kg . and inside more material (nuts). also cookies is really expensive and really plain. i dont want to pay much money for this. but taste is nice. Service was slowly . and also who is counter side she was little rude, she has to polite. She just want to sell everything to customer . That's why customer service was not good. and atmosphere , there is really nice decoration cozy. but inside really hot. They were not open the air condiotioner. normally they should open conditioner. anyways i can go there 1 times a month. that's enough

Simit Palace is a very good place to go . Nice atmosphere , good quality food and drinks, friendly owners and staff. What more could anyone want? We will definitely go there again. Everyone should go and try it at least once.

Bright and tasty Turkish cafe with sand heated coffee, gorgeous looking cakes and baklava, and a good range of savoury middle eastern breads and pastries - many available in sandwich form. . On the reasonable/cheaply priced end, so I would recommend for a snack. It’s a bit too new to judge what the atmosphere would be like to sit in for a coffee though. Important to note: these aren’t bagels in the New York/jewish sense. They’re Turkish bagels which are larger rings, less dense, and coated in sesame before cooking. Also known as Simit if you want to google it.
