L. H.Wow! Very pleased and proud to have such a talented baker LITERALLY in my town/village. Wait.... is Harworth & Bircotes a town or village? I don't even know. Only been here 6 years next month.
Anyway, I digress (as per usual).
I managed to get my hands on some of Cake is Key's spare odds and ends at last minute (a stuffed cookie and a triple choc brownie).
These are very cleverly notified as available through their facebook page after orders have been compiled.
Really generous portions. The brownie in the accompanying picture had a piece cut off for immediate warm through and tasting - over an inch wide slither I might add!
Really nice balanced hit of sweet from the sugar, nice texture from likely sieving the flour and a nice warming comforting glaze on the tongue of quality bakers chocolate in this brownie (I haven't tried the cookie as that is gonna be over the next couple of days!). Quality and care has gone in to the making and baking process. Really fudgy at ambient temp and exceptionally gooey after 10 secs in the microwave (I only had a small piece, remember?)
Handed to me on collection in a lovely presentation box with welcomencard, business card and allergen lost.
