Always the most amazing cakes and lovely chats! Try and go early for the best selection though i’ve never had a bad bake, from buns to babka to cakes everything is always sensational!

If the 4.9 start rating doesn't convince you already, I would like to take the opportunity to try: it is absolutely worth the calories and the little walk off center to visit this personal and decadent bakery. I love baked goods, desserts, to be a paced experience of well being and Bits Bake Shop does exactly that. The cakes, buns, and bars are balanced, simply-beautiful, allowing for flavors and fragrances to exist complementary to the sweetness. We made the trip to this bake shop each day it was open and would be happy to come here for seconds anytime again.

I've just moved back to Edinburgh after a few years away. In that time this lovely little cafe has opened up and was quickly recommended to me by a friend. The recommendation was very well deserved. Pre-ordering & payment was easy (with some very kind flexibility when I messed up my collection time) and collection done smoothly, safely & with a smile. Of course the real delight was in the eating - best cinnamon bun I've had in a long time. I'll definitely be back for more! A great spot for fuel before/after a Holyrood Park wander.

It’s a small but very cute interior. Not many seatings available but it wasn’t busy when my friend and i were there so it wasnt at all a problem 🥰 i also had really nice flat white but haven’t tried to cakes yet but my friend said the cake was really really good (ginger cake)

This is my favourite bakery in Edinburgh, always a great selection of cakes, bakes and buns. I go early as it can be sold out before end of the day. The cardamom buns are my favourite, especially when straight out of the oven. Go visit now!

Very cute and quaint coffee shop. The lady who works there is very lovely and makes all the cakes by hand, which are absolutely delicious. The place is also very reasonably priced so it is really a little hidden gem close to Arthur's seat.

Great cake! Had no idea this place existed until now. We ordered two tray bake style cakes including one vegan choice (chocolate orange)... delicious! Went down well at our event. The food menu looked good too. Keen to come back again soon.

Ashley makes gorgeous and delicious cakes. We love the banana bread and the fritata. Well worth a trip away from typical touristy areas like Royal Mile. Near to Arthur's Seat which is perfect! A wee cafe so if you're a big group maybe consider getting take away.

Absolutely delightful coffee shop tucked away across from the commonwealth. Perfect for that after swim snack and what a lovely space to reward yourself in.
