Stumbled upon this quaint bakery on the way home as the lotus bake caught my eye. Very pleasantly surprised, the lady was as sweet as the goodies and ever so welcoming. The dough is fluffy and soft, a perfect sweet treat for a Sunday. Will definitely be popping in again from time to time!

My partner and I got married last Thursday and were looking for a simple two-tier wedding cake. The amazing team at Sweet Jane did a fantastic job. We requested an orange and cardamon cake with vanilla buttercream and lots of bright, colourful flowers. The result was absolutely beautiful and so delicious. Will definitely be recommending the Sweet Jane team to other couples. Thank you so much for making our day even more special!

Myself and my team were regular customers when the previous owners had the business and were nervous that things would not be the same with the new owners. I can say that things are not the same - in fact the bread, cakes and baking is much better and the scones and sourdough taste great. In addition the service is now friendly, welcoming and professional. The 2 girls who work the business regularly are excellent and it is a pleasure to visit this hard working Bakehouse.

You need to come here. I’m not sure what magic they’re doing behind that counter but we’ve recently been two weekends in a row and everything we’ve tried has been phenomenal.
The sourdough loaf is the best I have ever tried (and I’ve eaten a lot of bread in my time). Worth a visit for that alone.
Otherwise, we’ve tried the doughnuts, cakes, brioche pretzels and cruffins. Everything is just excellent. There’s also a wee selection of chutneys, pickles, teas and I’m sure they also sell filter coffee too.
I’m so excited that we have such talented bakers on our doorstep in the east end - I’d rather come here and support a local business than go anywhere else.

Great little bakery! When I discovered it I was amazed! Bread is great, I loved the croissant with cheese and ham! I will definitely go back regularly.

Great selection of bakes and one of the few places that do a non-sourdough loaf. They also have an interesting selection of pantry items such as pistachio butter, which is a totally revelation. The cakes are also gorgeous with a big shout out to the dulce de lech cake which is devilishly good.

Stunning wee shop with delightful Sourdough 😍 totally forgot to buy some focaccia so I'll just have to go back!

Probably my favourite bakery in Glasgow so far. They have plenty of international products like olive oil, pimentón, goose fat... I usually get the house sourdough for my breakfast toasts and it's just what I needed here in Glasgow: good bread. The sweets are top class but the garlic focaccia is a personal favourite.

What a fantastic wee bakery!!! I had been looking all over for some items I needed ASAP and this bakery saved the day! The staff were absolutely wonderful, kind and so friendly, and they went above and beyond to help me get exactly what I needed. Turned my rainy day around. Bought both bread and a sweet pastry which was so fresh and delicious! And their selection of bakery and cooking products are brilliant and just what I needed. Will definitely be back! Thank you so much Sweet Jane Bakehouse x

Easily the best bakery in Glasgow. We're amazed!!
We got
*The sourdough bread - excellent! Delightfully yeasty and tangy, and properly dense at £3.60 which is fine, since we used to buy "fake" fresh bread from our italian deli for £4
*The focaccia - Fluffy, filling, with top quality olive oil used (we're mediterranean and always wary of that, but it was fantastic), and the right type of onions (yellow - sweet) at £2.50 (reasonable)
*The peanut butter cronut - a household of three adults agreed that it was one of the best baked goods we've ever had. The balance of the flavours and the discreet crunchiness really take it to another level. Don't remember the cost for that one.
This is on top of friendly staff! I will be going back again and again and again. THANK YOU!

I saw this little shop a few times, while I was walking the area, but never really gave it a shot until today. I passed near the open door, and I noticed a "Rose and cardamon cronut" label; that was enough to maximise my curiosity, and drag me inside. They have quite the range, which I intend to explore more! Prices are fair, and the portion are decent. The cronut was really good, as the pastry was flavourful and moist in the inside, whilst crunchy and sugary on the outside; the rose cream was so good that I wish I could eat spoonfuls of it everyday! The staff was kind, and cheery, so if you are i the area give it a go, as it will be totally worth it.

Good seeded sourdough bread, friendly service ☺️

The cakes and other treats here are excellent, the sweet dough that the buns and doughnuts are made from is just out of this world. But the best thing is the bread, I got a loaf of the sunflower malt and it was just delicious I could eat it every day for the rest of my life. Great coffee and they have loads of wee condiments and other bits you wont find anywhere else including my favourite zaatar. Andrea has a team at the bakery and mesa that are as kind and generous as he is. Top scran, top squad

I absolutely love Sweet Jane, I often stop by for a wee treat for the kids and it is very easy to decide what you want, everything is clearly labelled and the staff very friendly. Saturday means queuing but any other days it is relatively quiet.

The bread is addictive, I couldn't stop eating it. I would also heartily recommend the the focaccia with gorgonzola and grapes.

Amazing wee shop with very friendly staff. I've been many times now and everything I've had has been outstanding. The products are quite expensive but I feel it's worth it and reflects the quality.

The spelt Guinness loaf and sourdough baguette were so scrumptious, they didn't make it through to dinner. Just means we'll be back for more!
