We just popped in for a coffee & some sweets. It was on a busy Saturday however the staff made us feel so welcome and they were really helpful to find a place for us to seat as it was very busy. Banana bread was delicious and a big generous slice great for sharing and the drinks are great too.

First of all, food is amazing here. And they have friendly staff! I had my BEST turmeric latte (with oat milk) in London here! Highly recommend it to everyone.

I only came for coffee, which was excellent, but I was sad not to stay. It's a nice place with groovy vibes, communal sitting tables inside and an outside seating area. There's a great selection of freshly made pastries and other treats, I looked at them as I was waiting for my coffee, and honestly I wouldn't know what to choose. They all look quite amazing. I'll have to go back when in Hackney to try a few.

I’m generally happy to pay silly prices for a good coffee but £3.80 for a flat white is a joke (recently increased). I’ve also been going most mornings for 6 months and the staff still don’t recognise or greet me. Apart from that it’s good.

Here’s us walking our way to a public toilet holding our food after being told Brunswick East Bakehouse only allows access to the toilets for seated customers. So cruel.

Always amazing brunch! This is the breakfast bruschetta, the turmeric & black sesame sour dough is always super fresh, perfectly moist and super dense!

Nice coffee, good cookies, handy setting just behind Hackney Downs. Was pretty busy but only took 5 mins to get served. The food menu looks really interesting, so I’ll definitely be back to sample it. Outdoor seating area is good (well, when we can sit outside cafes again...)

This place saved us during lockdown! We would come here often on our daily walk to get bread and coffee. The pastries and baked good are all amazing! I especially like the turmeric and black sesame seed sourdough. The cardamom scroll is a must! We have also tried the gluten-free sourdough which was really good

It’s just so good. Struggle to find a brunch spot that matches this place. Really interesting menu and every dish tastes as good as it sounds. Really great coffee and staff are all so chilled out and super friendly.

Spacious cafe and bakery with fantastic brunch. There's a small bar serving a curated selection of craft beers, and all the staff are lovely. Music can be a bit loud, but otherwise always a joy. New favourite place in the neighbourhood.

So happy this cafe and bakery has opened up at Hackney Downs. The breakfast is delicious, especially the homemade turmeric sourdough...yum!! As well as brunch options they have a great selection of cakes and treats including a vegan snickers - sooo good!
