Reviews of GAIL's Bakery Fulham Road
A. T.
O M G! I looooove Gails Fulham road. Nice hectic service, staff are super efficient. Had an nice experience there this morning. I sincerely think they have the best croissant in town. Such a nice place to sit and have breakfast. The coffee isn’t as good as other places locally though. Im a regular at Gails kings road and now ill be a regular on the one on Fulham road. Its my new favourite.
Y. K.
I bought a range of take-out breakfast items including pastries, sourdough toast with butter and jam, cappuccino and latte. Service was quick, friendly and everything was perfectly fresh and delicious. Very clean and inviting atmosphere. A real treat.

5 starts the the barista at this location who is an absolute warrior. I really don’t wish this job in anyone and for sure she is not getting paid enough to put up with the Chelsea moms. The coffee is delicious and she prob does hundreds of coffees each morning. This is a high stress job and I just want to say Bravo to her.
C. K.
Just the most friendly of staff. Coffee and food was super high quality. Eggs were an unbelievable shade of deep orange, with the most silky texture of bacon! Great experience

This was my first time visiting this branch, my local shop is based in Pimlico. I was served by a man named “Noel”. He gave the best customer service I have ever received. His knowledge of all the items on the menu, as well as his humour was a absolute pleasure to experience. People like him build rapport with the customers and are the backbone to businesses. I hope he is credited for his great service.

Really great coffee, and baked goods.
The cheese cake is one of the best I have had in London and the quality of bread is unbeatable. The potato and rosemary bread is divine. You can also pick up a loyalty card and if you have enough stamps, any loaf of your choice goes home with you.

I honestly can't understand why it has 5 stars from other visitors.
The place is tiny and they try to get the most of the miniscule space but crowding tables small tables too close to each other so ZERO privacy and almost touching each other. Normally it's busy.
Although the charge big, there is not table service.
Food is nicely displayed and cakes are nice and in quite small portions.
Coffee is like anywhere else. Nothing special and only soya and oat as an alternative to cow milk.
I tried the bread and although fresh is quite chewy (better go to Le pain Quotidienne 5 minutes from there if you prefer tender, crunchy one).
They have seats outside, quite pleasant there.
Overall, I will only go if no other choice. It's way too expensive.
J. M.
Delicious coffee and food but quite overpriced. Love the artisan look and GAIL‘s stores as a place to work/ write.

Friendly staff , fast service... Lovely decoration and the most important tasty choices..all.the pastry and the sandwich that I tried were delicious....
M. A.
Pastries and coffee was great. just wish the kitchen was open for longer period.

Gail‘s has been for decades my favourite bakery. In the past the used to have spelt & Rye bread, which are the most healthiest option. You can buy the whole bread and let it cut to eat within the next days or what I do is I put in the freezer for longer lasting experience. Also they have plenty of pastry or other healthy food options.

Love borekita. Best coffee in town. They are using oatly yey

I don't speak English very well but I think to describe how I wanted a coffee, my English is enough. I requested: a big, strong coffee, said i don’t like the American coffee because it was too watery. I said i wanted a lot of coffee, not a lot of milk. I showed i wanted a coffee like the one next door to another client. They served me an American coffee, big with a little shallow cold milk. The attendants were kind but unfortunately they were not effective. But the staff was really friendly.

Excellent. Fab croissant and great coffee. I saw a plate of scrambled egg go past en route to a customer and it looked absolutely delicious. If a place can cook good scrambled egg it's a good guideline!
Amazing pastries, bread etc.

There are some great bakeries in the neighborhood but Gails is a standout, for the quality of its baked goods (especially pastries), excellent coffee, and a limited but very nicely thought out food menu. The Fulham Road branch is more spacious than the nearby Gail's on Kings Road, and has a nice, spread out seating area in the back with lots of light - perfect for a nice weekend breakfast.

Go here regularly. Food is always very fresh and tasty. Nothing left to sit out and dry out. Really good coffee and good customer service. 1 star lost due to the cost for in and out prices. Table service is basic to charge more. But would recommend this place to anyone I know.
Z. T.
Good selection of bread and cakes. Coffee was great and there is ample seating. All in all a good place to relax or work. Only qualm I have is that the free wifi is hard to get closer towards the end of the bakery.
C.
Coffee and croissants are always amazing here!
M. T.
Cinnamon roll one of my favourites.. Lovely place with skylight to have an extended ☕!
T. G.
What a lovely, lovely place! All the pastries we purchased were of excellent flavor and quality, as well as the coffee. My friend and I very much enjoyed talking with the staff making our time at Gail's a delight.
J. C.
Gail's always has fresh and delicious bakery stuff but what makes this place uniquely pleasant is the people who work here. They go the extra mile to provide customers with the best service.
L. B.
As you walk in there is a wonderful display of cakes, muffins and pastries all of which you can help yourself to for take away. If you are staying to eat in skip the display and order at the counter and they will bring it to your table. The food has been great, I love the art on the walls and it's generally a nice place at 8am before work to sit and have a coffee.
İ. Y.
Great bakery, cakes to breads, pastries to sandwiches everything is incredible. It is a great bakery with touch of Mediterranean spirit. Good choices of olives, cheese and meat to be combined with fresh, tasty pastry. Among the breads, Dark French Sourdough is my favorite.
D. K.
Oh my word GAIL'S BAKERY is the place to go for great feed. Breakfast or lunch you can't go wrong.
Its a causal relaxed place, 5star clean an fast efficient servise.
Then to top all that off the food is delicious. A 10 out of 10 rating.
T. P.
Great products -possibly best croissants in london- pretty average service. Very slow counter service staff and the arrangement of the store does not help. There is limited space for queueing before you hit the door, so the queues buggies and the kitchen sink is frequently outside. Mildly annoying.
M. d. S.
I LOVE the GAIL'S in Fulham proper, but the staff at this one on Fulham Road were pretty clueless. My elderly mother asked them to heat her vegetable soup up from warm to hot... a long wait later they brought back steaming hot soup alright... but it was now chicken soup.
P. T.
Decent coffee, good seating and lovely menu. Weird staffs, one was quite funny and clearly a new member. If im sensitive I could have called him racist. Found hair in my soup but hey, how I could be more miserable.
W. 1.
Friendly, welcoming staff. Quick service. Very busy on a Saturday. Decent enough coffee. Their salmon and scrambled eggs wasnt my cup of tea or coffee
K. F.
Good latte, though very small indeed. I had to wait quite long for it to arrive at my table, the plate it was on was dirty. It was very noisy as a group of Spanish women were there, need I say more!
V. M.
Ensure you balance sweet with savoury. The almond croissant has to be a must, so too the poppy seed bun with basil tomato and swizz cheese.
Coffee is ok, nothing special however.
A. A.
A good choice of cakes and coffee, but its the breads that make Gail's for me. Their artisanal sourdough blends (try the pecan and cranberry, the mild quinoa, or the cakey barley porridge) reflect the seasons and cater to a variety of tastes. Take away and eat at home with a little salted butter, or perch on a stool indoors and pair with their award winning house blend coffee.
E. T.
With sweet cherries and currants, one of their offered breads is preferred by me and my friends. This bread with cheese and ham is just perfect. I know that cherries are rich of pectin, they lower the cholesterol and improve your sleep. So after your healthy breakfast, why don't you try fresh home made fruit salad?
B. C.
Great relaxed environment and friendly staff. Coffee was great too!
P. G. C.
Lovely coffee, nice location. There is a lack of care with some basic stuff, management needs to be more attentive to details.
V. M.
This is my favorite Gail’s ever. Friendly staff, great service, best flat white around
S. D.
Sweet little corner cafe serving up both takeaway breads and cakes and eat-in snacks to Chelsea's well-heeled mums and their little ones. The bread is very nice - my especial favourites being the goat's cheese and squash foccaccia (£3 for a huge loaf) and the seedy flatbreads which go so well with dips. I've never tried the cakes here but they certainly look appetising.
S. F.
Hot breakfast is highly mediocre and always leaves me wishing I had just made it myself at home. The baked goods and breads, on the other hand, are phenomenal.
B. H. E. C.
Lovely bakery with amazing cakes and the best mozzarella and tomato ciabatta I have ever had. A bit pricey but excellent atmosphere and customer service.
S. L.
One of my favourite branches of Gail's. No greater escapism from life's daily pressures than sitting in the window, nursing a latte, listening to yummy mummies bemoaning their first world problems.
M. C.
Good coffee and a nice croissant. A perfect way to start the day.
M. N.
Gail’s never disappoints, and their blueberry pancakes are to die for - blueberrys in the pancake, fresh blueberries and blueberry compote on top with some creamer fraiche on the side. All pastries delicious too!
V. C.
They have a good selection of vegan breakfast and lunch options available.
M. C.
I had eggs and bacon and a cup of cappucino. The bacon was crunchy and awesome, while the egg wa hot and tidy. The coffee was very satisfying. Definitely recommended.
O. A.
Lovely staff and great bakeries. The flat white is too milky and the same problem of Gail’s Chiswick the smell of cooking.
M. B.
A nice place. Modern a little quirky and good coffee. It's also relatively quite which is a nice break from the hassle and bustle of Fulham Road.
g. t.
A very nice place for eating a small breakfast and good coffee or tea . The ambiance of the place is very nice and worm.if your on Fulham road and looking for a nice place to eat something small , this is it
E. C.
Best bakery chain, excelent food and drinks. Cute decoration with plenty of natural light. Don’t miss the brunch!
E. T.
Best healthy lunch in Fulham. Lovely staff!
E. K.
Nice selection of cakes (amazing cheesecake) and pastries and they make really nice coffee too.
You can only sit down in the street, which is acceptable in good weather.
K. H.
Great coffee. Wide selection of pastries and cakes. Nice spacious cafe.
B. B.
Lovely cakes and coffee. Fairly relaxed atmosphere, reasonable prices. Love their carrot cake!
J. D.
Great artisanal products, especially the bread is delicious. A good place to go for brunch in Fulham.
V.
Nice choice of sweet and savoury.
K. H.
My favourite place for breakfast! Thoroughly recommend the brioche french toast with maple bacon 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽
R. R.
Good bread but staff clearly still believe COVID is just a joke, leaving their masks half off
J.

L. L.
Bright and spacious cafe, great coffee and food, and staff are all super friendly. Will keep coming back :)
R. S.
Expensive but really nice food and a relaxed ambience. A favorite with lots of local French people unless it was a coincidence when I was there.
S. H.
Extremely Pricey but very tasty - Coffee, juice, Greek yoghurt and croissant was close to £16.50
L. C.
Went for a super yummy breakfast. Had wonderful pancakes and got a loaf to take away also!
G. M.
Good service, great pastries. One of the better branches of Gail's in the area
M. H.
The most amazing almond croissant I've ever tasted!
B. D. M.
The food was ok but nothing special. Besides, for the price we paid, you would get the same for 2/3 of the price elsewhere.
T. Y.
Really great coffee and delicious fresh pastries made daily 😊☕👍🏻
J. A.
Good bread nice coffee cool atmosphere. Normally price's for Chelsea..
n.
Expensive. Paid £8.50 for a standard coffee and modest-sized pasty that were regrettably mediocre.
C.
Good service.
d. s.

B. F.
Nice place to eat great coffee and the best sausage rolls in the world.
