Take-away the way-to-go here. A limited footprint exploits every nook and cranny with little in the way of customer comfort, elbow space, nor ambience. Notwithstanding the space constraints an impressive array of the usual pastries, cakes and lite bites. Coffee betters the average. Service reticent and impassively efficient.

Great coffee and pastries but their customer service can definitely improve. First time I was here, I got the spinach feta and the pork sausage rolls. Both were great and service was decent. Second time I was here, I got the asparagus crustless pie and requested it to be cut in half. The girl who worked there said she'll can't cut it in half and didn't even heat the pie. She was very rude and was clearly flustered with the long queue. The pie tasted bad and service was slow and bad.

The bread at Gail’s is great, but my true love is devoted to their amazingly wide range of pastries, sandwiches and tasty salted delicacies from the counter. Everything looks delicious and your eyes don’t lie when you taste it. The ambiance is really tight, crowded and forget about comfort, but once in a while worth the effort. It’s a shame that the prices are so high, even for St. John’s Wood standards. Try the takeaway option as the prices are cheaper.

Everyone knows the food is excellent at Gails, so no surprises there. I felt the need to write a review as the woman working on the counter this morning was incredible. So impressive to watch how efficiently she served a constant stream of people! It really was amazing. If her boss is reading this, give her a pay rise 👏🏼

Loved the cozy atmosphere and the smile from all the workers. Prices are reasonable. Big variety of many delicious baked goods. Also tried the latte and tasted good. I liked the free water jugs and classes available for the costumers.

Stopped here for a quick bite. It looked like such a small place from the outside, not that it's huge, but the display of items it had, I must say I was shocked. It had a variety of options. I finally settled for a cheese stick and I do not remember what my second item was called, so I'll settle with a vegetable muffin. The cheese stick was decent enough and I took the mufiin home, heated it a little and then had it. It was really great! I'd definitely recommend this place for a quick bite.

Went here on recommendation, apparently coffee here is really good which i can't deny but the barista couldn't differentiate the difference between Latte and Capp which was strange. When i brought it up she was confused.com on the positive coffee was tasty as were the pastries.

I come here every day and everyone is always lovely. I love that the server giggles at me ordering a cinnamon bun every day because it is ridiculous and I don’t care because they are amazing. Egg soufflé sandwiches are a close second. I’m moving now and what I’ll miss most of St John’s wood is this GAILs.

Amazing place to grab a pastry. My and my partner had a croissant filled with a Swiss cheese and ham and a quiche which were a solid 10 and tasteful orange and apple juices. I wish I had photos but they disappeared almost immediately. It is a bit pricy but honestly I prefer to pay a little bit more and have something I enjoy rather than saving a few p and having something bad. If you are near GAIL'S Bakery, give it a go.

We have visited here for breakfast before a day at Lord's. It's such a lovely little cafe and is so popular with people coming and going all the time. The counter display is so impressive! The hot food is very tasty and the coffee is great. The service is excellent too. Highly recommended!

Great breakfast- tried the Brioche french toast, maple bacon, scrambled eggs with smoked salmon on sourdough, and fresh fruit salad. Everything was amazing and the coffee was great too. The cooked breakfast is prepared fresh and so it's not quick but it's worth the (reasonable) wait. Friendly service but tiny tables. The selection of bread and baked goods was impressive and tempting, and the takeaway items looked fresh and healthy (such as chia seed pudding, broccoli salad) etc.... we'll be back.

For tasty baked goods, you won't go wrong with Gail's. I got takeaway and service was fast. The chocolate cookie was soft and right dash of sweetness. I'd say stay if you have the time so you can enjoy a hot chocolate with your freshly baked goods.

This was my daily treat while pregnant. The salmon rolls are delicious while their almond croissant is one of the best I've tasted. The flourless chocolate cake is very luxurious. Such a little gem. Anyone who writes on a cup of coffee "cognitive therapy" immediately wins my vote!

A small and warm bakery with coffee with the Gail's signature, that everybody knows. Food, bakery and coffee are delicious. The only problem is the table.. table for two has the size of the table of half 1/2 person. I will certainly come back... If I am alone!

Good bread and pastry store with friendly staff. Suffers from a lack of space but a recent refurbishment has maximised the paucity of legroom. Pricing is fairly high but they get away with it because it is St Johns Wood where the clientele has excessive money.
