Reviews of Madeira Deli

Friendly Portuguese café and deli. The café offers a good selection of breakfast dishes and wide selection of sandwiches and other bakery products. The coffee is excellent and the service is quick, friendly and attentive. It's also very reasonable in terms of costs so good value for money. Don't miss the pastel de nata, the treditional portuguese custard cakes. Delicious.

My boyfriend and I had come here on the 6th of September prior to our capital ring walk for a quick brunch . However since we were embarking on our capital ring walk we wanted something fairly light ...We both had bloomer bread with jam/marmalade . I had a latte while he had a macciato. We both enjoyed our time there and went to the delicatessen and bought some food and snacks for later.

Once again the food is beautiful the staff and good and value for money.AAA

Having been recommended this place by a Portuguese friend, I decided to come prior to my Capital Ring Walk on a Sunday brunch time. I had previously dined in the restaurant on Bank Holiday Monday.
We had a light breakfast here - Bloomer bread with Marmalade/Jam and a Macchiato (large one).
It was a delightful place for a Sunday - and I will definitely come here again for a taste of the other Portuguese breakfast items - also visited the Delicatessen which is on the right side of the Restaurant - delightful variety of tapas!
The Deli to the left is still open in the lockdown for takeout (selling Portuguese cakes/bread and also a great selection of Italian biscuits - Mulino Bianco brand) - I visited here and bought several breakfast items. The Portuguese Rice Cake [Bolos de Arroz] is a must buy and a reasonable price of £1.40 - there is a bakery with a selection of cakes.

Nice big selection of breakfast and yummy bakery items.
Big sitting area indoor and out door.

This is a bit of a hidden gem as I've lived nearby for 8 years and never noticed this place. This store sells a good selection of Portuguese groceries. They also sell baked goods - cakes and bread and the famous egg custard tarts, Pastel De Nata. They are £1.10 each or £6 for six. I bought some on a Sunday, late afternoon and whilst they were good, they would probably be better if you bought them when they were freshly baked.

All those goodies and essentials you really need (want!). Great products from Madeira and mainland Portugal, a few Brazilian goodies too. Peeps are very friendly (as you would expect from a Portuguese place!) :-)

A taste of Portugal in London. Delicious cakes and sweets. You can find many items that are usually available in Portuguese supermarkets but not here.

A portuguese mini market with a bit of everything. Obviously a bit overpriced for what you get but that's the price of having portuguese products at your home.

This place was great with one exception... I was sent to 'the other till' 4 times!!! ...they only have 2 tills! ...I think they were having a bad day 😄
