Reviews of The Bakehouse

Very nice and peaceful bakery and coffee shop. I'd consider mostly for takeaway though : the seats outdoor are right on the main street and the indoor is quite small. Indoor style is not great to be honest, it's great for a bakery vibe but not much for a coffee shop. All in all a good shop though.

Staff were so friendly and chatty! Reasonably quiet even on the weekend. Lots of options to choose from and from what I’ve had so far tastes amazing! Would recommend a visit!

Our go to bakery! Really nice & freshly baked bread. There are lots of other pastry options & coffees. Keep returning there again and again

The best sourdough bread I’ve ever tasted, they also slice it for you. I believe it’s vegan bread too and there’s a lovely selection of veg, spreads and cakes available. The staff are very friendly and always make me feel welcome. Oh, and you can buy coffee etc there as well with seating inside and outside.

Some tasty baked goods and interesting food items (butters etc) to buy and use at home, but a bit expensive for the size of the cake slices, and they don't seem to have a way to contact them except in person, so not easy to place orders etc. Also one of the female staff members was rude and had a bit of attitude the last time I was in.

Brilliant Bakery with a delicious array of freshly made cakes and pastries! Keep an eye out for the pistachio cream filled croissant...super tasty.

This place was lovely service was nice and personable.
Only downside was we spent £16 on 4 things (2 coffees and 2 pastries) and we couldn't put our finger on how expensive the pastries were. There are no price tags in the bakery so make sure you ask!

Friendly staff. Coffee could be improved on the taste as large Flatwhite seems to have a bit too much water. Almond croissant was nice.

I always go there for my baguette. This place feels very homely. But I have to agree with some of the comments and my wife's view. The place looks like it needs a good clean. Please do that!
