Reviews of Wood Street Bakery

The pastries here are honestly the best I’ve had in my whole life. The custard bun and fruit danish are particular favourites. And the chai monkey bread is to die for. Go early and it’s still warm!

The pastries are delicious and you can tell are lovingly made. The decor inside is fresh, clean and comfortable. The only reason for 4 stars are the staff - the seemed to very little knowledge of what teas were available and the gentle attitude when ordering left a little to be desired. It may have been a bad a day, so don’t let this review deter your. The pastries are delicious, reasonably priced and worth travelling for

Perfect baked deliciousness and great coffee too! Lovely addition to the area. Plenty of space for a buggy and ideal mum pit stop!

Amazing bakery with lovely staff, great atmosphere and possibly the best pastries I’ve ever eaten!

Fantastic bakery / cafe, with lovely pastries, super coffee and very friendly staff. Hard to choose what to have, but I went for the plum jam and custard pastry - a great choice. Look forward to returning the next time I'm nearby.

This is currently our favorite bakery in the area! Their cruffins are to die for and also their other pastries we've tried so far have always been amazing.

Best bakery in London! Perfect pastries and coffee. Lovely staff. The cheese and jalapeño swirl is the ultimate hangover cure.

If you’ve never had a Cruffin before, you need to stop what you’re doing and head to this bakery now. The combination of doughyness, sweetness and crispness of the edges is like nothing I’ve had before. I tried to take a photo but couldn’t stop eating it for long enough….

Their almond croissant genuinely knocks spots off nearby Chocolatine, and I didn't dare hope for that! The cruffins, tarts, brownies and buns have been gorgeous too. I'm loving the selection and that there's seemingly something different every day. The coffee is also top-notch. Most of all though, the staff are just lovely!

Our favourite weekend spot - yet to try something that isn't delicious. Pain au chocolat are best in class!

Absolutely delicious, from the famous weekly bakes which sold out in minutes - Wood St finally has a permanent bakery with lush coffee, carefully selected ingredients and a great atmosphere!

Great selection of cakes, with some twists on old classics. I particularly enjoy the sticky toffee cinnamon bun.

Prepare yourself for some of the best pastries you will ever try. TIP - Go for the apricot and custard bun, it's made with their secret recipe jam and is to die for.

Gem!

The bakery came highly recommended by my friend who's local, and I'm sure it's very nice, the food items looked great. However, I was put off by a staff member who left me standing in front of him while he tapped on his till, for far too long without giving me any acknowledgement at all. If it were a busy period, I could understand that but it was a quiet Tuesday with only two others already seated. When over a minute ticks over and still no hello, it just starts to feel awkward. Coffee was ok though..
